How long have you been playing on Aurora?: For about eleven months to a year now.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I have been told before that I would be decent in a command role, having a lot of dedication to learn and understand jobs in a department.

Why did you come to Aurora?: Whenever I was much new at Space Station 13, I was recommended to come to the server because it had good admins. I was always victim to gank, so I appreciated the heavy roleplay.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: I have.



Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.


Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is somewhat self explanatory. It is taking the role of a fictional character and molding to what you would imagine they would be like; seeing how fun it is to see what personality they would fit best with but making sure they are not a self reflection. I would believe it would be to stay in character and not get your own feelings ahead of them, but to put yourself in the eyes of another person and not to abuse them just because you have control of them.


What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The purpose of a head of staff I would believe to be is to be like a mother or father to the staff of your department. Being a role model, almost. Not to jump quickly to frustration, but to let the staff know that you are skilled at your job and would be willing to help them with theirs. The character needs to let others know that they care about their job and try their best to be staff of command, but the player to know that this character was chosen, and they need to uphold the reason that they were possibly chosen.


What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: If others are possibly new to taking the role as a head of staff, lead an example of command. Show them not to be too loose when handling their staff, but not to uphold too strict. To be an example to other personnel of command, at least.

Character name: December Cadwell

Character age (Please note that Head characters must be over 30, unless given special clearance): Currently 29, I've been told under multiple occasions that as long as I raised her age by a year, it would be acceptable. I moved her age up by one year, but I am now realizing that the minimum is over thirty.


Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): (Applying for research director) December’s parents divorced when she was no more than six years old. Her mother took custody, and she saw her father once about every two months. She has always been antisocial, and was more of a book worm. At the ages of sixteen through seventeen, she kept a fake ID with her at all times and took a visit to the liquor store every weekend to every other weekend. She went into rehabilitation for two months after her mother caught her drinking vodka in the act. At the age of eighteen, she started studying nursing, at the age of twenty she started working for a small clinic for half a year. During her job, she was told by her sister stories about the station she worked on. Five months in, she made an application to work on station as a nursing intern. Somehow, she got accepted a month after making two applications. Somewhere in time, she requested a job reassignment to lab assistant. She spent a lot of time asking to assist in robotics, and received her licensing as a mechatronic engineer at the age of twenty-five. Although on a prescription of 15mg citalopram per day, she has been certified emotionally stable.


What do you like about this character?: I do like her way of thinking quickly, mainly in tough situations. Stress does not find its way into her mind easily, and she is often soft spoken. She strives to be a friendly figure to others, and is dedicated to her current job.


What do you dislike about this character?: Her temper often gets in the way of things (such as being frustrated with a bald scientist or roboticist who didn’t get consent to remove someone’s brain) which is somewhat normal, but feels that she has to prove herself whenever someone gets a bad impression or is doubting of her skills.


Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff?: I do think so.


Why?: She is generally skilled in the department she works in, and is a fan of giving help to those that would like to learn more about research. She is very careful with her job, knowing the dangers and such. She always has a backup plan, and most often does not decease of own inflicted reasons (messing up and stuff.)



Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions.


How would you rate your own roleplaying?: If I had to rate my own roleplaying, it would have to be about a 7/10, a 63/100, or 652/1000. There’s plenty of things I could work on, such as combat roleplay, but I use plently of /me’s.



Extra notes: I most likely will not join as the job of research director until a month from now or so.

You took out the part about being over the age of 30 in your application. Can I ask why?


You also didn't specify which Head of Staff she'd be, which can be sort of an issue. A 29y/o RD/CMO might be a problem in some players' eyes, as, those fields require lifetimes of work for, and being at the top of them require much more than that.

Ah, I see I did o: Apologies, it was probably something I took out late at night. There wasn't a certain question that asked what head of staff they were applying for, so I put it in parenthesis after biography.

I've only interacted once, but from ghosting all the time Indie is someone I'm totally okay with sharing space secrets with. If I'm okay with sharing space secrets with people, that generally means I think they're responsible, etc etc enough to warrant a whitelist. Points go to Ten for actually doing the teaching though. My interaction was just forking over a piece of paper with words on it. Support.

This is a good application and I'm ready to accept it, on the condition that you age December up to at least the age requirement... but preferably at least a few years, considering her background. For CMOs and RDs, we don't make exceptions to the age limit, primarily to enforce the time needed to get a PhD and get a lot of experience in their field.

Apologies for the long wait for a reply, I wanted to confirm that it wouldn't make a huge difference in roleplay with some other that's involved in her life >.>

I moved her age up by a year, as minimum, I'm not going to be using the whitelist for awhile even if it were to be accepted soon (though it would not have an impact on her age)

But.. yeah, her age is now thirty if that is alright.
