Skrell and the Genophage

This is a question I came up with while parusing the Skrell wiki, in it it's said that Skrell created something to sterilize their women for most of their lives, however, how has this affected the Weurusian, since they denounce technology, would they be affected? Would they have refused the thing and reproduce normally, or would they have been forced to sterilize their women?

Well, I thought it was a, sort of, permanent genetic modification, so every child of a mother, that had her genes altered, will also have those genes, forcing them to mate only once. So, Weurusians, and their kids, would also be affected. Over time, slowly, every Skrell would get "infected", or they would need to resort to, more or less, incest. But, I'm not a lore writer.

Right sorry about being so slow on this, Dreamix was right it was a genetic fault meaning that there was no reversing it although a few(1 in a million) have somehow resisted the fault. As for the Weurusian they've denounced technology so they do not have the fault although sometimes you'll have a Weurusian who's family was not of the same beliefs so basically. Not all of the skrell have the fault but most do, and yes the Weurusians are less likely to have the fault due to not abusing cloning technology as other skrell have in the past. I don't understand the point of the Skrell genophage. The most advanced, organized and rational race can't solve their overpopulation problem except by altering their genetic code in a way that brings their species to extinction.

We are obviously not going with this anymore. The Skrell can settle their problems like the Chinese or something.
