Summon Guns.

Please give the wizard the spell option to summon guns. It'd give security a distraction to deal with and/or create insane amounts of chaos what with the weapon supply being out of control.


Could also give the wizard the opportunity to be a bluespace arms dealer.

So I should say pretty clearly that I think it's a very interesting idea, and I think that it provides a ton of chaos in a way more interesting than any fireball would, in that it encourages interesting role-play among the crew. But I think there could be a balance issue with it, in that a lot of the interesting role-play it would cause would rely on players being morally irresponsible. A lot of guns on the floor means nothing if ever player is terrified to death to touch one if it means a threat of ban, or would just mean a bunch of players are stuffing guns in their backpacks and then doing nothing with them. I think an issue with it is that it would seriously encourage players to self-antag.


Another, not so strictly bad problem with this, is that a wizard could summon guns only to be shot with one of his own by a crew who may have stashed one, which would be pretty rich but it could really end the round quickly.


I just think it would be way to much trouble, given the tight rules of the server would really put an end to any of the chaos that such a situation would naturally cause, negating the fun of what sounds like a really fun spell, at least for me.

To keep in the theme of wizards being "beings with technology so advanced it looks like magic", I'd say if we DO want this we'd need to make it look alien/futuristic (Ma'Tok staff?) and be pretty powerful (mid-level protopistol? With the green laser and high accuracy and stuff? Or maybe a radiation gun like the plasma cannons and organic deconstructor? What about a gun that causes genetic damage or general brute even to internal organs?) and HUGE charge (like, unless they really try, practically infinite - a thousand shots?) at the cost of having a long-ish cooldown rate (1 min? 5 mins?)


That, or make it spawnable from the book like the rest of wizard gear.


But generally speaking, I'm somewhat against the wizards just having a weapon like that for two main reasons: first, they already have a good arsenal, and second - a wizard with a gun is really just Wizard McNukeops or Traitor McWizard.


What's next, you're going to ask if they can spawn a wizard shield and wizard night vision goggles too?


(Actually I just thought: A spell that spawns like 20 non-lethal guns, like beanbag shotguns or tasers or laser tag rifles or something equally harmless but fun could be HELLA hilarious)

If I am not wrong, at tg, when the wizard uses this spells, he get more one extra choice on the others spells, so he can have more chances against armeds enemies.
