How long have you been playing on Aurora?:I started playing a couple months before October, I think.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?:Roles to play, roles to learn, and something new for my Space Station 13 experiences.

Why did you come to Aurora?:Unbound Travels went down, and Aphelion had generally low population and constant skeletal crews. I tried Aurora and found it fun after a while.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:Roleplay is just what it says, playing a role. What it should be about in immersing yourself in the role of someone else, which of course means playing that captain role correctly, not as if you were a clown in command.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:If Duty Officers could be said to be IC moderators without the powers, Heads of Staff could be compared to trial moderators. Or just players that are expected to make attempts to keep the station in order, you know.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:Whitelisted players should serve as examples for the community. Being whitelisted means you've been trusted by the staff to play an important part of the round.

Character name:Charlie Stough

Character age:58

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Charlie Stough was born in New Gibson, the Biesel Republic, on January 29, 2399. Had an average childhood, no different from the last baby. Fast forward to 2422, Charlie Stough is now 23 years old, and he's struck his first independent contract as a miner, working until 2426. Charlie stough is 27 years old, and he's just now enrolled in St. John's university. During his four years there, he's done countless small and odd jobs for a living. At the end of the 4 years, he finally earned a Bachelor's degree in business and management. He was now 31 years old.

However, now its 2430 and Charlie Stough decided to get a late start at 31 years old, going for Security Officer at Nanotrasen. Naturally, he initially signed his contract as a cadet. For 3 years, he worked as a cadet, shadowing officers and studying Corporate Regulations, learning how to use weaponry, etc. At the end of the 3 years, he's finally earned his position as a Security Officer, level 1. He worked ten years as an officer, and moved up to Security Officer, level 2. At this point, Charlie Stough is now 44 years old, and due to certain parts of his body being replaced with prosthetic limbs due to accidents, he moved to the Cargo department. 2443, and Stough has just completed Nanotrasen's Introduction to Management Course on board the NMSS Odin, and happily signs his contract for QuarterMaster for another 10 years. 2453, Charlie Stough is 54 years old. He's applied for Internal Affairs, signing the loyalty implant consent form and taking an advanced level-two psychological screening. With his Business/Management degree and previous work experience(Totally a coincidence) helping him, he's finally able to sign his contract for IA, and has worked in this position until this very day.

What do you like about this character?:What do I like? An old man heading his way up the chain of command, nothin' new, nothin' great. I wouldn't call Stough a snowflake, either. Call me out if I'm wrong. Stough is just like Joe. Know what I'm sayin'? He also does his job.

What do you dislike about this character?:Charlie Stough's history is probably similar to many, in the way of a bunch of Security experience in the past. I could be wrong, but it seems a lot of people have it. Basically, Stough isn't anything too new.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?:What? We were supposed to be fit for the job? Of course Stough is fit for it! For starters, his Internal Affairs career and previous NanoTrasen employments give him at least the basic qualifications. Next, Stough does his job. Paperwork will be done. Personnel will be dealt with properly and issues shall be settled. After all, if he gets a promotion, he's got a department to run!

My only problem is, and I could be wrong here, but isn't Charlie Stough the chef who constantly makes nothing but gross food out of eggs all the time, in situations that make no sense to do that?

Maybe I'm wrong, I just saw him SSD in the kitchen, surrounded by gross foods that make no sense. (egg cereal, a deep fried egg still in its shell, 'meat cake', etc). Do you think a chef who can't actually cook an edible meal would be hired at all, nevermind promoted?

This isn't a -1, but just a concern I have with something that's been a bit ongoing, maybe not just with Stough, or not Stough at all. I haven't personally witnessed Stough doing this, I've just seen it happen often on the station, and recently saw Stough in the kitchen after it did.

I don't believe Charlie Stough is the one in the Kitchen. He usually is Internal Affairs. But anyways I have experienced LilSh4's roleplay as Valorallen Vitellia. I think that he would be able to handle the Head of Staff white list just fine. Every experience that I have had with him has been a good one. +1 from me.

That chef round.. Yeah, that was me alright. I made the meat cake and cereal. Don't remember the deep fried egg. I didn't mean to be chef, I just had it on low, with IA on never. Mistakes were made.

Alright. Well, I'll take your word for it. It's something I see disturbingly often from Chefs, and I don't get why.

Other than that I've seen only good stuff from you, that I can remember, so +1

Hey, I got the Head Whitelist and I came back to IA. But yeah, he is one of the more recognizable IAs.

I haven't personally played with Charlie, but the communications I've seen on public channels, and the realistic writing in this application make me believe that he'd be just fine in a command position. The character's a believable administrator with varied experiences and a long career.

Had a short encounter yesterday with Charlie Stough over the comms. I was a captain, and since I was busy, they didn't other the shit out of me to send that status report to Odin, but simply offered to write one instead with the information I gave them.

With that in mind, I'm confident they have a firm grasp on what's and how's concerning things Heads deal with.
