Guest Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I just want to inform you folks that I'll likely be less responsive next few days, so a few things may suffer. While I don't celebrate Crucifixion of Christ anymore, I still prefer to spend religious holidays with family and relaxing. Happy Easter to all who celebrate it. Edit: Ooops, I'm a fucking moron. Fixed. Quote
UnknownMurder Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 It's... The holiday that Jesus rose from the dead... Or I'm just not getting the joke. Quote
Mofo1995 Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 In the Orthodox world, the crucifixion of Christ is celebrated as his ultimate triumph over death itself, whereas in the West it is depicted as him suffering immensely for mankind. But Croatia is historically Catholic not Orthodox, so I'unno. Quote
Guest Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 The Catholic and Orthodox creed are identical in most things. It's viewed both as a day of human redemption and triumph over death. It's celebrated in both orthodox and catholic world. There was no joke. I meant that I used to be a catholic, now I'm an atheist. I just wanted to inform of my impending inactivity. Quote
UnknownMurder Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Google Says: "The most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ and held (in the Western Church) between March 21 and April 25, on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the northern spring equinox. The period in which Easter occurs, especially the weekend from Good Friday to Easter Monday." Quote
