NebulaFlare Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 BYOND Key: (NebulaFlare Accused Players Byond Key: Elena Volkova (ArcTec) Time of Act: 11:55 PM 4/4/2016 Reason for Ban: Straight up powergaming, doing antag-like stuff while not an antag. Completely breaking arpee. I'm not sure if it counts as a ban, since it really skirts the edges of the rules. But at the very least, a good chat with a mod would suffice. What happened was during the round, I arpeed arresting her for trying to help another prisoner escape. There was only myself, and two engineers. Then meteors, and the armory was breached. She proceeded to loot it, (no other place she got a shotgun to shoot at me) and shot me. She then went about 'arresting' me because I arrested her, and brigged me in the holding room without a headset for a period of time until a third engineer (unrelated to prior incidents) let me out. Evidence:picture attached of logs.
Shadow Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I was there for at the beginning but had to leave due to RL things, Ill post my side of the story and my opinion about this once I am home. EDIT: 1. How long was Volkova arrested? 2. Did you strip her gear, etc? 3. What kind of bullets did Volkov use, Beanbag, Shock, etc? 4. How long were you arrested? EDIT 2: - Moved to the complaint subforum. Please edit the format as soon as you have time.
NebulaFlare Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 1. How long was Volkova arrested? Ten minutes. The charge was 'assist with resisting arrest' which was the closest I could come up with for trying to help a prisoner resist arrest. I was bogged down with handling two prisoners, and the other one was acting a lot more troublesome, so she did sit in the other cell for a few minutes extra, but it was a very short duration. When I went to check on her, I just went through the procedures of securing her in the cell (set timer, bedcuff, flash, uncuff, flash again for safety, walk out). 2. Did you strip her gear, etc? Actually, I didn't. She was unresponsive for the majority of the sentence, so I figured she was afk. Again, was too busy handling the other prisoner to really be concerned with someone who appeared to have afked. I didn't take her gear or equipment, since it was only 10 minutes and I have a policy not to strip prisoners if they're on good behavior, to speed through processing time. I let her out once her time was up, and I saw her walk out. 3. What kind of bullets did Volkov use, Beanbag, Shock, etc? IT was a stun round, two of them. I'm still not familiar with the animations, but it looked like stun. When I first saw her with the gun, my immediate thought was, "Oh, she must be antag" and she pointed it at me. But before anything else happened, she fired off two rounds, no talking, convos, or anything. After the round ended, it was revealed that it was extended. 4. How long were you arrested? She stated she'd hold me 20 minutes, but another engineer let me out.
Dreviore Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I'm going to queue in on unrelated stuff she did this round. I was the Research Director, and I witnessed her break into my department, and upon asking why she was sneaking around she said "To steal shit!" Later I heard she was causing a little more trouble elsewhere, and when I went to cryo 20 minutes after this occurredoccurred, I immediately saw her get arrested without cuffs by an officer, when the security officer left the room she attempted to bolt into security, I turned on antag hud and was surprised that she wasn't an antagonist.
Guest Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Sorry if I'm not involved, but I do wanna offer a rebuttal to a statement made before it's initially addressed with a counterpoint. In case someone questions the initial charge in regards to "assisting the resist of an arrest"... *slams down a copy of CORP REGS* Aiding and abetting a criminal makes you an accomplice; you can be charged with the same crime as the person you aided and abetted.
Shadow Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 This complaint is so old that I was involved in it before I retired. ..will lock and archive this in 24 hours.
