Jboy2000000 Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 So after a discussion on Discord, I ended up writing a few small stories for people. And I figured Ive written anything that was an acceptable level of good, Id let you people give me prompts about your characters. Ill give examples that I made in the Discord. Senri X Tina Tina slowly walked past the door on the right side of the medbay's lobby. As she strode past the cryotubes, she spotted Senri standing next to the tubes, looking into the reflection of the glass and liquid inside as he wiped away a smudge with his thumb. Her cheeks darkened into a red colour as her feet picked up speed, down past the opening into the hall she was in. From behind her Senri's voice called, "Hey Tina." The words stuck in her ears as she tred to a stop, her heart beating in her ears loud enough to drown out what he said next. In the seconds following, before she could even turn around to reply to his greeting, he was behind her, with a hand reaching gently around her head to feel her forehead. "Are you alright Tina? You blanked out for a minute there." He said as he walked past her so he could see her face. She could feel the heat building in her skin, so she could only imagine what he felt. When he looks at her eyes he blinks his own and says, "Are you feeling alright? Your red as a brick." So handsome. So caring. The man she looked after to be closer to... She couldn't help herself. Her eyes blinked closed for barely a second, and by the time they were open she'd subconsciously jumped forward and wrapped her arms behind Senri and touched their lips together. And that was just the beginning for them. Something I thought of on the fly about Phoebe. From down the hall plates and furniture clashed and broke as furious screams bounced off the walls into the young girls ears. The feeling of dread and sadness filled her heart as soon as the first sound of glass breaking came from the living room and made a lump grown inside her throat. Mother and father, always so angry, always so violent. Things were better when sister was here, but now she was gone, and no one could help her stand against the full force of the waves of abuse. She quick threw her toys on the floor, clambering up onto her feet as she looked for some place to hide herself and get away from it all. Under the bed? No. Last time she did that, father found her, and father wasn't happy at all. Under the covers? Mother knows that all too well. In the closet? No, they'll know to check there for sure... Unless... An idea sprang to her mind. She was quick and light on her feet to run to the hall closet and grab a flash light, with that in hand she made her way to her parent's room, tucking into the large closet they both shared. She stayed there for an untold amount of time as seconds felt like minutes, and the minutes felt like hours. When the fighting finally calmed, she looked around for something to cover herself with. She found an old, dusty labcoat in the corner of the closet and draped it over herself. So as to not be left alone in total darkness, the young girl turned on the light, letting the light tickle her blonde hair. Then, and from then on, closets became a safe place for her. Even well into her adult age. A joke Yaoi fic, Ukhaan looks over his shoulder with a scowl to see who was interrupting him, but it regressed when he saw his Skrellian friends planting his butt into the cushioned seat. "Ah, hello Shakur." Ukhaan greets lowly, so as not to interrupt the silent night of the station. The Skrell nodded in reply and reached ove the counter, grabbing a glass of water as well. "Long night?" Shkor says to breaks his silence in the conversation they were having. The Unathi nods his head and hisses out a reply, saying "Elevator up to my room is broken. So I have to wait here after everyone else is sleeping." His voice betrayed his annoyance, but anyone in the same situation would be annoyed. But that wasn't the only thing weighing on his mind that night. Voljeti... "Voljeti? What about her?" Shkor asked, peeking down to look at Ukhaan's angled face. He must have been thinking out loud, and he was caught off guard by Shkor knowing what he was thinking. "Nothing. Nothing Voljeti." Ukhaan replied hastily with the wave of the hand, not realizing he accidentally named his friend his wife once more. The Skrell leaned back into his own personal space, crossing his arms as he spoke, "Calling me by your wive's name again? Like I said the last time, as long as you don't act like it." Ukhaan froze in place as he finally noticed what he did, and shame and some realization filled his mind. Ukhaan looked over at Shkor, looking into his eyes as his breath stalled and caught in his throat. They both shared the looked for a number of seconds, Shkor feeling more awkward than Ukhaan was. When Shkor finally tried to reply, the Unathi just leaned forward, stealing a kiss from the bewildered fish face. The taste of.. Warm sushi poured past his guns onto his tongue as he pressed himself and the kiss closer to his friend. Quote

Redfield5 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 You have my permission to use Jim in your writing. As for the setting, I don't care as long as it isn't some half-assed parody of Jim. Quote
hivefleetchicken Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 As Jim Calhoun slammed his armored fist into the force airlock button, the airlock doors screeched open with a scrape of hydraulics, followed by a rapid gush of wind as the warm air flooded out into the cold abyss of space. With his magboots locking his feet to the floor, the security officer of the NSS Aurora teetered slightly as he took his first heavy step onto the loose grills lining the solar array. Taking only a quick glance to investigate the damaged wires and solar panels, Calhoun carefully toggled his microphone, followed by a crackle of static. "Same as Southwest Solars," he reported, taking another moment to appreciate the damage done by the unknown outlaw that had been sabotaging their systems since the start of the shift, "Though this one doesn't look as destroyed. I don't think he was fin..." He'd trail off, inhaling slowly with a painfully long hiss of air. 'Uh oh.' All of a sudden, Calhoun became very aware of a feeling he was being watched. He froze, his stomach dropping and his breath slowing, and time and space seemed to slow down for a moment as someone prodded an energy gun barrel into the back of his head. Hard. Calhoun knew it was to make sure he felt it, but he found the gesture rude nonetheless. With his magboots holding him in place, however, he'd merely tip forward slightly and rock back. His PDA beeped. A message from Shas'kala Sakaei, Security Officer. Unclipping his PDA slowly and carefully, he'd mouth the words to himself and sigh. 'Frequency 144.1. Now.' A slight chuckle escaped his lips as he tried to find the best way out of the situation. He settled on small talk. "I'm hoping you're about to tell me you're just conveniently patrolling here too." Silence. "I take it you're not going to talk, then. Great." He closed his eyes and waited. "...I didn't know the money wassss on your head, Calhoun. But a deal issss a deal." Calhoun gritted his teeth. "Save the verbal pity. You're getting paid for this, anyway. Might as well enjoy it." "I didn't sssssign up for the money," Sakaei interjected. "Then what?" "NanoTrassssen needssss to be taught a lesssson." "What does that have to do with getting payed to kill me?" More silence. Calhoun knew he had one chance of getting out of this, so he took it while the Unathi was busy thinking. 'Stupid liggers,' he told himself in his head, before ducking under the barrel of the gun against his head. A flash of red blasted past his visor as Sakaei's reaction shot missed. Wasting no time, Jim threw his fist out and clashed it right into the laser rifle's barrel, sending the gun's aim wide. With his own rifle in the other hand, he trained the barrel on the Unathi's chest, firing once. Shas'kala Sakaei leapt backwards, throwing his rifle, before slamming into the closed airlock as the shot flew wide of its mark, hitting a solar panel. Before Jim Calhoun could fire again, the Unathi darted off of the door, using the momentum to pounce into Calhoun, driving him to the ground on his back. Shas'kala ripped a long black cylindrical handle from his belt as he regained his balance and stood over Calhoun, hitting a button near the end as a blade made of glowing red energy would materialize out of it. Calhoun had seen one before, but never one that was about to disembowel him. Using all his might, Calhoun reached out and yanked the Unathi to the floor by his ankles. Shas'kala slammed into the plating with a howl as his feet broke under the pressure of the magboots being bent sideways, his pain driving him berserk as he plunged the blade into Calhoun's thigh from the side, producing an animal yelp from Jim as the blade cut clean through his suit and leg. Shas'kala dragged himself closer to Calhoun as the human shrieked horribly as the tear in his suit ripped wider and wider, and Sakaei pulled himself on top of Calhoun, straddling him, before driving the sword into Calhoun's visor. With a flash of sparks, the mechanical face piece of Jim's EVA suit blew open, the sword slicing into Jim's face. His shrieks ended immediately as Sakaei tumbled off and landed next to Jim with a thud. Sakaei dragged himself by his hands into the airlock, groaning in pain as he tuned his frequency back to common. "Help, Fore solarssss!" He'd howl into the security channel. "Jim wassss a traitor!" Mofo1995 Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 I tried my hand at this, but I'm not as good of a writer as Jboy here. DragonSnapxDecanus *The sound of metal clanking was what Decanus heard while he was on patrol in the aft section of the station, his audio sensors detecting them from the maintenance shaft to his left. He rushed to the airlock, hand hovering over his stunbaton on his security belt. As it hissed open, the source of the noise became clear. A giant spider was on top of DragonSnap, wrapping her in a blanket of webs as she throttled it with a fire extinguisher.* "DragonSnap!" "Decanus, help me!" *He drew his stunbaton, quickly switching the power on as he rushed at the giant spider, bringing it down in wide arcs to bludgeon its thick hide. The spider flung itself on Decanus, throwing him across the room where he smashed into a wall, becoming disoriented. His sidearm falling from its holster and clacking on the metal floor. The spider approached, and began to web its new victim as he lay helpless.* "I am Decanus of LEGION! I will not be defeated by you!" *Defiantly, Decanus fought and squirmed, pull the pin on a flashbang. The massive bang and flash placed the spider off guard, but overloaded his sensors. As his systems came back online, he saw his arm had been completely torn off, many of his wires exposed as the spider had unleashed its fury before resuming webbing. Meanwhile, behind the spider, DragonSnap had wrestled her hands free. Slowly, she crawled across the floor, reaching for Decanus's sidearm. She snatched it off the floor as it came in reach, and quickly raise it up, emptying the magazine into the spiders fat backside.* "GET OFF HIM!" *she shouted as fire breathed from the barrel of her pistol. It squeeled, sending strange green blood arcing across the room, pooling into puddles beneath its corpse as it curled up, dead.* "DragonSnap... you saved me." *said Decanus, as his monitor began flickering, on the edge of consciousness.* "No, Decanus, you saved me." *replied DragonSnap as she drew a roll of cable coils from her tool belt. For a long while, Decanus laid there on the edge of death as DragonSnap replaced his damaged wiring, using her welder to delicatley repair the dents in his chassis, as well as to reaatach his arm. Decanus' monitor flickered to life, their two monitors providing a dim light in the otherwise dark and inhospitible maintenance tunnel. Suddenly, they embraced wrapping their metal arms around each other, the room growing darker as they met monitor screens in a loving embrace.* Quote
