The NSS Exodus is home to a variety of species, all working together in order to accomplish the myriad of tasks that keep this station operational. It is rather remarkable that even within the short amount of time that our collective of species has interacted with one another, the Exodus has become dependent on interspecies cooperation. The purpose of this anonymous survey is to gauge how well the crew get along, in the realm of interspecies relations.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself working in the same department as members of other species? 10

Do you find members of other species to be generally reliable? Unreliable? Explain. He finds most to be reliable, but the Diona are kind of slow, and he finds it weird how they speak. Whenever one is a cook his food is always cold. Unathi are also a problem, always spouting off about their stupid honour crap and yelling at people.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself spending leisure time outside of work with a member or members of another species? 7

Do you have friends who are of another species? Of course.

Have you gone out of your way to assist a member of another species? Elaborate. One of his best friends, an IPC, has been having some hard times lately, and he's been helping them with a lot of stuff.

Are you attracted to members of another species? Do you have a preference? This is getting pretty personal, but he has been curious in the past.

Have you had a prior altercation of any variety with a member of another species? Please explain. He has been with a few religious and ethical debates with IPC's.

Have you been the victim of a crime in which the perpetrator was of another species? Several times.

What is your definition of specism/racism? Bigotry against another species. Could range from snipping at someone for speaking their native language, to full on distrusting someone entirely based on their specie.

Have you noticed if specism is endemic to any departments? Elaborate. The only problem he's even notice is in security and command, and that is overlapping. Security is distrustful of his kind, and so are a few members of command. One time he was arrested just for practicing his religion in the holodeck.

Have you been the victim of discrimination by Security? Yes

Do you believe that there is a proper apparatus in place for reporting and handling discrimination? He bets someone is going to answer "the DO corp," but that isn't true. He reported discrimination to them a month ago, and then just now showed any interest a few days ago. It's proper, but they're too slow to do anything.

Do you find members of other species to be generally reliable? Unreliable? Explain. Reliable. You look around hard enough and you see the same kind of people putting in the same kind of effort. I've seen Unathi clothesline creeps who were wailing on Tajaran officers. Chassises patroling along with Humans. Skrell watching out for nonskrell. You've gotta be able to trust that the guy beside you will back you up if things go south. If you care about your job, you don't spend too much time thinking about race. You're too busy working.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself spending leisure time outside of work with a member or members of another species? Six. Mendell City's the place to be no matter your species.

Do you have friends who are of another species? Hell yeah, I do. Patrolled with a M'sai for years. Great guy. Solid work ethic.

Have you gone out of your way to assist a member of another species? Elaborate. Yes. I work in security. Despite what some people think, watching out for people is our job.

Are you attracted to members of another species? Do you have a preference? Nah. I'm pretty much just into Humans. Maybe my dick's racist.

Have you, or are you currently, in an intimate relationship with a member of another species? Explain the nature of the relationship. You guys are really covering all your bases with this "sexual preference" section aren't you? No.

Have you had a prior altercation of any variety with a member of another species? Please explain. Yeah. I work in security, see? Walking into altercations comes with wearing the boots. For some reason, at least a few out of every species thinks being asked to "come along" is a good reason to start swinging. I'd be surprised if anyone in security only ever had to make arrests on their own species.

Have you taken part in any military engagement in which the opposing force was primarily made up of members of a different species? Does cleaning up a bar fight between two wasted Tajara count?

Have you been the victim of a crime in which the perpetrator was of another species? About as many as I get from my own species. "Asshole" should really be a check-box on the post-arrest report forms.

What is your definition of specism/racism? Assuming anyone gives a damn about your culture. Human or otherwise. What do I give about a guy's history? If he's an jerk, he's a jerk. Same time, I don't expect people to take special care on account of my race. Little self absorbed to think anyone thinks you're special enough to single out, isn't it?

Have you noticed if specism is endemic to any departments? Elaborate.Weird enough, civilian. I see engineers, doctors and scientists shrug off little bits of friction they get from strangers. Even bartenders and janitors roll with the punches. Poor cargo and mining are fifty fifty. Either you have some quartermaster spewing slurs, or someone below him complaining about getting tread on. I've had maybe three times in all my time in security that a civilian came in to report that they were being treated unfairly. The rest of the time, we've got to listen to radio chatter and check it out and drop by to ask people if things are alright. Some people just feel content complaining, y'know?

Do you find members of other species to be generally reliable? Unreliable? Explain. It depends. Skrell tend to be reliable, if unempathic, much like IPCs. Unathi are reliable in the sense that you know what you're going to get from them. I've never been intellectually surprised by one. As for Tajarran, no, not reliable at all. I have no idea what to expect when I see a tajarran.

I'd say security is the most visibly racist however, because they are the ones who have to deal with tajarran crime all the time, but I don't want to put words in their mouths.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself working in the same department as members of other species? 3. Most she work alongside of are humans and skrell. It is very rare she will meet another Tajara in research.

Do you find members of other species to be generally reliable? Unreliable? Explain. Reliable. She is able to work alongside them in a team efficiently and effectively.

She is very busy, and only has time off on the weekends. However, she spends that with Tajara, humans, and IPCs alike.

What is your definition of specism/racism?It is the belief that all members of a particular species or race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, which are prejudice or discriminatory.

Do you hold any discriminatory beliefs against another species?She tries her best to be open minded and accepting, but she has a difficult time seeing eye-to-eye with unathi.

Have you noticed if specism is endemic to any departments? Elaborate. She has come to realize that most insults of specism comes from the cargo and mining department.

Do you consider members of the Command Staff to be discriminatory towards people of another species? Elaborate.No, she has always been treated fairly by command staff. In fact, many directors she has worked under have protected her from discriminatory crew.

Do you believe that there is a proper apparatus in place for reporting and handling discrimination?To be quite honest, most discrimination actions are ignored simply due to the belief that nothing will be done about them. Hence, they do not always get reported.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself working in the same department as members of other species? 7-8. It is no surprise to find another IPC within engineering.

Do you find members of other species to be generally reliable? Unreliable? Explain.Reliable, very reliable. But then again, every member of engineering must be reliable, regardless of their species.

On a scale of one to ten, with one being never and ten being all the time, how often do you find yourself spending leisure time outside of work with a member or members of another species? 10. I spend a great deal of leisure time with humans or Tajara.

Have you gone out of your way to assist a member of another species? Elaborate. Yes. As an engineer and being in the front lines of a critical disaster, I have almost always needed to be available to assist those in need.

Have you had a prior altercation of any variety with a member of another species? Please explain.Mainly Unathi, and a few Skrell. Unathi are very quick to be judging and constantly reminding me that I am a 'soulless machine'. They are very vocal and distrusting of myself, despite never having done anything to incur their actions. Skrell are less so. Due to their history, their sentiments are understandable, but I have had the enjoyment of speaking to several Skrell who are more than willing to view me in a more preferable light.

Have you been the victim of a crime in which the perpetrator was of another species?Yes. I was assaulted by a group of humans in lower Mendell.

What is your definition of specism/racism?a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various species or racial groups determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race or species is superior and has the right to dominate others or that a particular species/racial group is inferior to the others. This can be extended to include hatred or intolerance of another species and/or race.

Do you hold any discriminatory beliefs against another species?Due to observation, I am reluctant to associate with Unathi.

Do some people consider you to be a specist or a racist?Not to my knowledge, no.

Have you encountered, or been the victim of, a hate crime during your time aboard the station?Yes. I had an Unathi coworker who ceaselessly harassed me the entire shift we were assigned together.

Have you noticed if specism is endemic to any departments? Elaborate. Mostly in the civilian departments, including cargo or mining.

Do you consider members of the Command Staff to be discriminatory towards people of another species? Elaborate.I have not witnessed any such incident of discrimination.

Have you been the victim of discrimination by Security?To be fair, I believe they discriminate against engineering, regardless of species. But no.

Do you believe that there is a proper apparatus in place for reporting and handling discrimination?Negatory. Most synthetics have concluded that while such measures exist, they are ineffective. Most of the time, the proper course of action is to accept the discrimination and be the more mature individual. Retaliation, even by proper means, will only give the harasser more fuel to the fire.
