Taintedglory
There's no such thing as a private frequency with a SBR. The entire range of their frequencies are routed through Telecomms, can be disabled (actually they can't be disabled I think) and can be discovered and listened into. The mechanics of Hivenet and SBR are so different that trying to draw a comparison is befuddling. AS with the SBR, the Hivenet can be discovered and listened into aswell. The mechanics are nearly identical. SBR can not be disabled except being on another Z-Level. Thats the only difference. Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
So let's make it something you can disable as an antagonist. Lordfowl would have to comment on whether or not hivechat is logged in telecomms, but assuming it isn't, let's try to agree on: 1) Antag ability to disable it with a frequency jammer. 2) They lose it in general when t-comms gets shut off. 3) All hivenet records are logged in t-comms. (Who even reads the things?) That make you satisfied if these become true? Link to comment

(Will be porting jammers myself, as they are originally my code.) It is dumb to consider removal of a controversial one week (barely even that) into them. We'll see how it goes. If it has a tangible effect on gameplay that we do not want, then we can talk about removing it or restricting it further. Link to comment
