canon35
What it says on the tin, give them less armour, do less damage, can only eat someone if they're downed. We had a round were ERT, Strike Force, and Elite Syndicate got wrecked by worms. Link to comment
Guest
...You know, considering Space worms are melee, you'd think that people would attempt to maintain one of the greatest advantages mankind has over primitive beings. You know, RANGE. Not letting your target get close to you is the number one thing you should be doing as someone with a gun. Link to comment

Space Worms can be killed easy if you power game their weaknesses. That said, without abusing game mechanics for the win, they're rather strong in direct combat. Probably your best shot is calling science and asking for AEGs, since their downsides are almost entirely counteracted by the fact spaceworms like to get all close and personal with you, and eat you alive. Or take drugs from the chemist to go faster. Meh. In retrospect, both of those are already pretty gamey. Link to comment
Guest
Allow me to bring up a few points; - The Space Worms of that round (near the end when the strike teams were sent in) were edited to be stronger. (No not godmode infi health can't die, because that's dumb) - It isn't a core/main game mechanic or in any rounds. It is literally only used for events thus it can be edited and altered by the host of the event as they please. - ZAS is the space worms worst enemy and royally screws them over (though that's not that significant as it's an atmos thing) - Space worms can't eat people who are laying down and can only really attack them. - You can wiggle out of a space worm by tapping those arrow keys. It CAN be done and it HAS been done. - It's probably a very bad idea to go head on with a giant space worm, which I observed happening a lot that round. - There's a large variety of tactics you can use to easily block off and defeat a space worm with minimal to no damage, though obviously I'm going to leave that to players to find out. TL;DR: They don't need editing because it's an event specific mob and does not affect the game or its mechanics itself. Link to comment
Guest
Well, the problem is we were forced to be head on with them. Especially after that one dragged around the nuke and used it as a shield. If humans were capable of outrunning it, or scaring it away, maybe, but it came straight for us, and one chomp meant death thanks to suit punctures. Link to comment

Susan
Humans are capable of outrunning it. They have faster movespeed than the worm. Link to comment
LetzShake
Is the worm normally player controlled? If not, don't forget lag is a factor. Link to comment
Guest
It's only player controled. Link to comment
