Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): Human Loremaster

Past Experiences/Knowledge: I was previously a lore writer and advisor under two regimes, when Tablespoon was the Loremaster and for a short while when Jackboot was Loremaster. And then off, and then on again with Jackboot again when I was attempting a Skrell re-work. I then lost a shit-ton of work on my old computer due to hard drive failures and I had to purchase a new one, which is the current super-tank I'm currently running. Either way, as I was effectively demoralized and torqued off due to this (and due to my job effectively taking over my hobby-time during that period), I ended up resigning because I believed I wasn't doing enough work for the whole.

Examples of Past Work: As mentioned, I lost an incredible amount of data due to having saved it on my hard-drive instead of making the smart measure in saving it on Cloud. All of my work from a year ago and beyond is effectively gone.

Additional Comments: I've an incredible amount of bad history with Jackboot and a lot of my behavior towards him was wholly unwarranted and the shit he got was undeserved. I will not bother justifying whether or not I was going through a rough patch, as excuses have helped absolutely no one. Regardless of the application turn-out, I'm willing to put aside past pettiness of my own end to work with Jackboot to give the Human species necessary fluff, background, culture, background and meaning, in addition to reviewing the current status of the Humanity timeline and performing baseline reviews as necessary. I plan to ensure that existing nations will not be wiped off the face of the wiki but rather adjusted in minor ways to fit a new possible timeline.

We both applied for this role, as we both feel humanity is severely lacking. If it came to it, I'd be more than happy to work with him in developing the lore for humanity.

Co-developing sounds like an incredible proposition given the mass of work that might need to be done for fleshing out the different diverse cultures that exist within the human race. I'd be for it.

I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with you being on my development team and I don't know if you'd be comfortable being on my development team. One of the most important aspects of being a loredev is being able to be told "no" and keep going. You have a long history of what can best be described as hostile, self-destructive behavior - I had to open a complaint on you over your behavior which lead to you being forum banned, and I've had you blocked on Discord since that thread.

Complaining for the sake of complaining, simply doesn't work, no matter how anyone might try. Humility and restraint will be what I will attempt to exercise in order to better myself as a person.

I can be persuasive (when I'm not as "self-destructive" as you describe), but that doesn't mean I can get my way with people all the time and force them to see things my way and immediately sympathize with my methodology. As it turns out, different people like certain things and hate others.

At this point, I'm not going to let such petty stuff bother me. It's just that: Petty, and not worth getting any upset over.

You're likely not convinced either way, but I wasn't entirely planning on getting in the way of the rest of the team in their own efforts to push which and whatever stories they have in mind for their specific races. I'm only really interested in putting forward some work to expand upon the choices a prospective human player would like to choose for themselves as a character background basis.

I would really like 1138 in this role, since I think he's smart and driven enough to churn out some great lore. I can't see it working so long as Jackboot is loremaster though. Saying it will be amicable isn't enough, you don't just work around that kind of history.

I don't see why not he should be given this chance, I can't comment on the relation between the two of them but he's being honest about it. Though I am curious on any of your ideas or plans.

Grudges are unhealthy, earnest effort is appreciated, and allowing second chances are all very important. I'm going to give him a shot at this position and we'll see where we end up with it! Hopefully better places.
