Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I believe that it is not next step in the development of my character. Plus I often times find there are no research directors on when I am. Why did you come to Aurora?: Quite simply the previous server I was on hypatia went down and never came back and I just sorta flowed through a few servers before finding this one and sticking with it. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yeah I have. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: To put it simply I believe that roleplaying is when you play the part of someone else. How would someone with there backstory react to this situation? What would they use the skills they have for? Would they jump into a room filled with fire to try and save someone's life? How do they react to the variety of species aboard the station? Are they one someone of few words or a chatterbox that not even the threat of death can stop? All this and more build up to make a proper roleplaying experience. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff are many. They make sure that those in there department don't end up blowing themselves and other up. They are also there to make sure that things run smoothly if someone needs something they can get it for them if a scientist needs a cell from robotics and there is no roboticist then you should take a minute to grab it for them so they can continue there job. Another part of their job is to maintain some semblance of order make sure that no one is hacking through doors because they want to get an item they like. Of course they are also there to help deal with tense situations that may arise at any time. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I believe that they are there to enhance the experience of others. They can make the entire experience have more depth make you feel more like you are in a legitimate company with an actual chain of command. They are also there to enable others to be able to do things that without them they would have great difficulty doing. That being said they are also there to stop insane projects that would waste resources and energy doing like building a maze which once again goes back to making it feel like a legitimate experience of course there. But if a scientist wanted to order a crate of weapons to compare the damage they can produce with the ones of the technology they researched. Or maybe someone wants to build an expansion that adds another area for people to relax in. You of course should make some expiations from time to time as long as they are not to unreasonable.Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Anomalia Character age:4 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Anomalia was the product of a personal project of Haliver Ultime she wanted to see if it was possible to make an IPC out of machine artifacts and if it could improve on any aspects. Of course Nanotrasen knew about the project since to get the parts she needed she would need access to the anomalies she dug up they were willing to give them to her, but for a price and so most of the money she earned went immediately back to Nanotrasen she decided to name it project anomalia. She started the project when she was a little over thirty she chose to use only anomalies that had no harmful effects. Once she gathered half a dozen artifacts the big question then was how to get the parts. Anomalies could not simply be taken apart by a screwdriver and as it was she only knew how to destroy them some sort of explosive device. That gave her an idea part of an explosion is an extreme release of energy if she could perhaps direct the energy of an explosion to an inch or two she could cut open the artifacts. She made many attempts with many different methods over the next three years. Finally she managed to make a device that using sounds waves could break the outside of an artifact without destroying the parts inside. It was not a perfect method not all artifacts reacted the same, but none the less she continued over the next half a year she collected and figured out what the parts did not all of them, but enough to begin building after another six months it was done with a little modern tech to make them free willed. At the age of 34 Haliver Ultime had spent four years on this project it may have started off as a side project to her other work a way to fill time, but now it meant much more she felt that this was essentially her child she was about to switch on. And thus Anomalia was born soon after she deduced the fact that Haliver Ultime considered her there daughter. Liking the fact she decided to encourage those feelings. After some test Haliver determined that not all the systems were working a full capacity she believed the source of the problem was that she did not have all the parts. So she continued collecting anomalies both so she could do repairs and try to bring Anomalia to her full potential. Soon finding out what her mother was doing for her living in a small apartment most of it taken up with things to help Anomalia little to no savings and the fact that she had not had two days off in a row for the entire four years. All of this influenced there discussion to join Nanotrason and has continued to work and learn for the past three years on multiple stations a large sum of that time being on the NSS Exodus where they work today. What do you like about this character?: I am terrible at personal evaluations and it seems to extend to my characters as well, but I like many things about them like their confusion of organics actions and there desire to understand said actions. I also enjoy the fact they feel no fear it allows them to get into situations that those who have such emotions would most likely try to avoid at all costs. It makes for some interesting and I personally find fun roleplaying What do you dislike about this character?: A lot of the things I dislike can be contributed to glitches, but other then that I could say that the fear thing is a double edged sword it may get me into interesting roleplaying, but it also makes it so that I have to make them go back to the station if the nuke was about to go off to try to save as many as possible. Of course at the same time I do not mind that flaw. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: They are a very flexible character that are able to help with many things. They are also willing to take time out of there schedule to help others in their department with the projects they might have and other such things. I also believe they are able to communicate well with others. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I think I am about a 7.5 out of 10 I have room to improve. I'm nowhere near the best, but I'm certainly not bad at it either. That said, she still has the ability to teach and cooperate with her coworkers. She's done a lot for everyone in Science. Definite +1. Link to comment

Orr is a great RPer and I believe Anno is more than qualified to be an RD around these parts. I know for sure Sieverts will appreciate the company. Link to comment

Anomalia (or Annie as Adolph affectionately refers to her as) is more than capable ICly as well as their player OOCly and, as stated before, does more for the department each round and overall as a whole than most RDs do. In my mind, my "ideal" Research staff definitely counts Anomalia in it's numbers, whether it's Xenoarch or taking the time to help out with RnD before rushing off to dig up bowls and swords. And there's almost always interesting RP to be had with whatever she finds. I just with RNGesus would smile upon Xenoarch and allow a few more cool things to be dug up. +1 Link to comment
