Total Ban Length: Permanent

Banning staff member's Key: Unknown.

Reason of Ban: Hanging myself without alerting Admins earlier, banned permanently for a previous unrelated offence and a sorta related warning.

Reason for Appeal:

Firstly, I'm going to address the other Ban. I was banned for one week for Griefing. Although this was the case, and the Ban was mostly just in my opinion, I do have a (Pretty loose) reason for doing it. The server was practically empty, with 3-5 people. A couple of them were actively voicing through OOC about their Mood - tired, bored, wanting to leave, so I took it upon myself to spice things up a bit. At that rate, nothing was going to happen. At the worst, a couple Spiders. Most people were on the wrong occupations, most of the others already leaving. My dumbass 1-week-byond-SS13-newbie-ass thought it would be a good idea to vent Phosgene Gas into the Maintenance shafts under the guise that I was "Clearing the Rodents". I only had the best of intentions in mind. The warning that happened some time before the ban was of a similar nature to the one I'm currently applying for, with vastly different circumstance. Just like with the Griefing incident, everybody was bored (Including me) and to entertain myself, I decided to shoot myself eight times in the Head before trying to vent myself out of the airlock.

There's a pretty big difference between this offence and the two prior ones. This one wasn't me being a mingey, inexperienced cunt. I seriously was trying to roleplay properly, having learnt my lesson earlier. I know that I should alert staff, but last night, it was 11:30 at night, and I was quite tired. In my tired haze, I forgot to tell the admins. I was also desperate to wrap things up. A pricey mistake. There were many, many reasons that I killed myself. As many that would have prevented this mess altogether. I know the shit I did before was stupid, it was not very smart of me. I've been practically conditioned to think "Un-serious" and "Inexperienced roleplayers" whenever I hear the term "Roleplay". I never once seeked proper roleplay, but after my ban I straightened out a lot. I am confident in saying that I can roleplay. I'll list them out now.

- Hugh was not only Physically disabled, unable to walk a few metres without collapsing and puncturing his lung, he had also lost his right hand in an industrial accident. He was awaiting life-changing surgery, replacing his shattered ribs which were caused him so much agony. But the Surgeon was either killed, or there was no Surgeon in the first place. He was 66 years old and had many heart problems (Requiring the use of a pacemaker.). He had also suffered from Oxygen deprivation on multiple occasions, due to the risk of walking with a shattered ribcage, sometimes causing a punctured lung.

- His lifestyle. Hugh drank and smoked a lot. He had as much trouble walking as he did breathing, and he spent most of his days in his respective workplace trying to make ends meet, spending even days on-end without taking breaks to even Eat. He was also one to trial some of the "Medicines" he had attempted to create, leading to his hospitalisation after consuming a poisonous genetic blend of Grass, Berries and some commercial medication. He was a very, very paranoid man. Going to such lengths as to even hotwire his lab door shut to finally keep his inner demons at bay. An infestation leading to him clinging to his life did not help.

Hi, I'll be handling your appeal.

These are your current notes at the moment. As of approximately over a span of a week you've gotten yourself into a fair bit of trouble with staff on-server for actions you've taken in the rounds that frankly kinda go a bit over the line of what we're able to treat as newbie mistakes. Mess up enough, either from a frequency or severity point of view and we're less and less likely to give someone lenience for their mistakes or misjudgements.

An issue at the moment is you really cannot expect much from us for applying a permaban after your previous ban just wearing off and having done something that we had asked you to ahelp about before taking the action. It might seem a bit asinine to have to require permission before doing it but it's the unfortunate result of what occurs when random suicide is a problem, especially as it is difficult to combat.

I'm remaining neutral for the moment until ricky has something to say on the matter.

This was primarely what made me decide to go for the Perma. It didn't really help that you decided to log, and trust me on it that I tried to stop you from going. However, I can understand that you're tired and you'd want to go to bed as quickly as possible, but at least make sure to warn us before you go as far as to kill of your character in such a fashion. For somebody in a wheelchair to desperatly go as far as to tie a knot, attach it to the ceiling so he could hang himself to death really takes it to the next level.

Based on your response, I'm willing to give you a 2nd chance and lift the ban. Show us that how you truely changed your behaviour as you proclaimed you have by familarizing yourself with the rules and try to earn our trust back by showing what you can do with RPing.

Provided the OP replies in the next 3 days, I'll lift the ban myself if he agrees to the above terms listed.

For sure. Rest assured, the only things you'll hear from me will be good things!

I may have given you too wide of a window, sorry, my week's been terrible. I'll lift the ban under these terms, regardless, I'm not gonna be that guy because I didn't keep my promises. If something similar happens again relating to the previous ban reason there may be less leeway granted.
