DatBerry Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 WHAT: A UI Records Setup with buttons and boxes that starts at the birth of your character to his current career with options and stuff, you pick the birth, family financial level, education etc etc WHY: An easier way to setup records, and a way to unify the records format for newbies who may be unsure to how to properly setup records, or people who are too lazy to do so themselves. this also have another benefit other than more people having records, it will also help people know what skills their characters could gain with their backstories. HOW: This is still a rough idea, but before we go further, this will not be restricting, people can either completely ignore it, do it and then change records/skills or do records/skills on their own You would first start by picking a place of birth, then family financial status, childhood education and interests (depending on your future career this may add more experience to skills), then teenage age, where you choose to stay where you are, study school, move or start work etc and what hobbies you've had if any. and then a similar stage for early adulthood where you choose college education if any, work and other experiences that your character went through, if they had moved systems or what else. As an example, you could pick Elyria as your birth place, being born into a mid/high-class family, your character is able to attend higher education easier, where a low class born character would have less options in education but more options in criminal activity and such. thoughts?
Skull132 Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Already planned by me. A character creation menu shit, like in RPGs.
MO_oNyMan Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Sounds neat. Visualising the life path of a character would help generating records immensely
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 As long as it is rather simple. Many player created record generators are very complicated and long-winded.
