Nik
Medical looks NICE, right now. I admit it. I like it. Shame we lack Biohazard shutters. In case you were not aware, person reading this while scratching their own rear end, (Yes I can see you doing it, stop that. You dirty dirty thing, you.) We currently lack an actual way to keep people IN medical, during any time in which viruses are a-plenty. This leads to people presuming that they are fine, leaving, spreading the virus and then leading to more deaths, which are not particularly amusing. As such, I'd suggest a second button in the CMO office that causes shutters to drop on the entrances to medical. (As well, I'd move the button off the desk since it is clipping through things constantly.) This would assist somewhat in stopping every joe schmoe from wandering off with Rhumba. Secondly, the CMO office lacks a intercom. That is all for that. Thirdly, the two doors that separate the Cryo beakers and the sleepers are silly, and just slow things down, in my not so humble opinion. Fourthly, Remove genetics. That is all. Link to comment
Kiwidaninja
The Biohazard shutters are something that is desperately needed. Give medical an airlock to enter as a secondary entrance, which isnt sealed off with shutters and contains showers. Theres always that one person in a viral outbreak who will do everything in their power to leave medbay, even after the medical crew had diagnosed them with a virus, told them multiple times to not leave (And that they had a virus), and even after Security had taken action to keep them in they still attempt to run off. TishinaStalker
Shame we lack Biohazard shutters. I can get behind this. Virology should be given biohazard shutters in the same pattern as Xenobiology. http://gyazo.com/9917ebfc2386f0d2f69a6a1e0541bd1f http://gyazo.com/495fb767d343ca5c2476e379422dd5ee Secondly, the CMO office lacks a intercom. That is all for that. Only the Research Director and Head of Security have intercoms in their office. Most surely because all of the wall slots are already taken up with something else in the other offices. Fourthly, Remove genetics. That is all. Removal of a mechanic in a suggestion is generally a big no if you don't have something to suggest for us to replace it. At least if I'm recalling what Sound_Scopes told me correctly. Link to comment
Tainavaa
Fourthly, Remove genetics. That is all. The only part of genetics that belongs to the medical department is the cloning lab. The genetic research portion belongs to the science department. The research director has jurisdiction over that portion of the subdepartment over the chief medical officer. Which is what I assume you're talking about. There's a few wall slots open in the Head of Personnel's office, but I'm pretty certain the Chief Medical Officer's office walls are packed full. It is a small office. I think the biohazard shutters are a decent idea, when we had that virus going around and Houssam had the AI lock down medical all it did was prevent the cure from being distributed should anyone walk by. It didn't help that the APC was completely discharged and prevented unbolting of the doors. It'd be much better if the medical personnel had control over the lockdown. Link to comment

A few words of advice from someone who plays a very nasty doctor. Get security under your thumb. Security, in my experience, has always been happy to assist medbay in containing patients, especially those who would endanger the rest of the crew if allowed to run about. They're also provided a biosuit for that exact sort of situation, and it states in the SOP that CMO is permitted control of security in the event of an outbreak, provided the HoS is absent or unable. Nik
People not realizing that the genetics thing was a joke. And as far as I am aware, the CMO has room in their office for a intercom. Thirdly, Security isnt always available/full of people who are actually good at it. So it's a variable I don't really like when another variable can cause people to start spreading a virus that causes you to explode. Link to comment
Lady_of_Ravens
Fourthly, Remove genetics. That is all. I've seen some neat stuff done with genetics... at least, the part that lets you change appearances and such. But about the only thing the structural enzimes do (asside from the one for making a protohuman) is get geneticists in trouble... either because they don't know better, or because they're griefers.
