Overview of the Incident: Amelia Flynn, a Quartermaster has decided the embezzle funds from the Cargo account. Earlier in the shift they decided to remove funds and reward her department by providing them with a premium of what I recall was 2,500 credits for the supply department, this money being gained from selling Nanotrasen owned resources mined from the asteroid. The Head of Personnel, Vanessa Ross stopped and I believe we essentially wrote it off as unfamiliarity with procedure, which was thoroughly explained to even by myself as they tried to appeal the action.

Later on the shift, the cargo financial account had won a lottery of 1.5e+006 credits, which I believe Miss Flynn had caught on with, where they promptly decided to clear out the majority of the account, barring 3935 credits. I'll provide factual proof at the end of this incident. This was noticed by myself and due to the Head of Personnel being SSD along with the Head of Security at the time, I took it upon myself to investigate. And based on reports found on the radio and a PDA testimony indicating such information which came from Shaft Miner Farah Malik. I had tasked security to investigate this and to search Amelia Flynn with a warrant but that was not necessary in the end. The offender in question decided upon my arrival to departures show me a large pile of credits and then later ask for a ticket to the cockpit of the shuttle. You will find photograph evidence and account details at the end of this report.

Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: I was the highest authority on this station.

Actions taken: They were detained under my orders as after they showed me the money, they refused to return it and ran off. They also resisted arrest by security. Considering this was done during crew transfer, the money was confiscated and they were placed in the shuttle holding cell.

BODY:

Following the conclusion of our investigation into this incident, we have chosen to move forward with the following action:

- Amelia Flynn has been indefinitely suspended from the position of Quartermaster. This action may be subject to appeal after one month's passing.

We believe miss Flynn's actions to be wholly unacceptable and unbecoming of an employee granted the privilege of managing company funds. Were it not for the request of leniency by the filer, Captain Raymond Hawkins, the termination of Amelia Flynn's employment contract would have been taken into high consideration. Instead we will allow miss Flynn to continue employment under probation, restricted from all personal access to the station funds. Should miss Flynn continue to make any further infractions upon our Corporate Regulation, we will see no choice but to pursue contract termination.
