Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: Bugmen, to me, will be a good exercise in doing other types of speech. With all of my present characters, they have normal human speech, and I think it'll be interesting to experiment with Vaurca speech, and adapting my typing to suit their accents and quirks. Also, Vaurca characters can be some of the funniest characters I remember, so I wanna get in on that action. I would be lying if I said I didn't want some of the mechanics they have too, like going into space without a suit.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Vaurca are entirely foreign to this type of life, and to these meatbag creatures they're working with, so I can really expand on the sense of wonderment as well as contempt for being thrust into such a strange environment for a Vaurca. Expanding on their whole VR hive lore, considering the curse of the Lil'dra, and so on. They're an entirely different society than anything that earth has ever experienced, so it's an interesting thing to pursue.

Character Name: Za'Akaix'Voo Zo’ra

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

'Beep!' 'Beep!' 'Beep!' was the first sound Voo remembered hearing, his first memory from around the age of six months. It was the sound of him being connected to the neural upload, and his consciousness being flooded with information. The beeping was constant, several type A workers buzzing around the facility, ensuring the upload was proceeding as planned. Voo carried a vague memory of a deafening 'BRRRRRRRRR' sound coming from a nearby upload terminal, before his consciousness was washed over and he found himself in a virtual body, in a virtual society--his first experience in the VR world. The environment was strange, but somehow felt homely. He then recalled from the recent uploads--it was a place called Vaur'avek'uyit, it was home. He distinctly remembered wandering the area, running his hands along the natural rock, staring into the seemingly infinite expanse that was the sky above him. It was...natural. Strange.

Voo 'lived' in virtual training for twelve years, a constant stream of new knowledge at first, his mind expanding. His virtual form began seamlessly changing as well, as his physical body was prepared for his removal from VR into the physical realm. He was brought out of VR in a large hibernation bank, with other Vaurcae as far as his eyes could see. He then noticed that the room he was in was breached, a large hull fracture had sucked away the atmosphere and blown several hibernation caskets into space. He peered out of the fracture, and notice another vessel. Pure white, with many windows emanating light. Beyond the vessel was a planet, covered in shades of blue and green, with white clouds circling over it. A nearby terminal was beeping a priority alert across the entire ship. Voo tapped at the console, staring at it.

'IT IS TIME TO SETTLE'

'OUR JOURNEY IS COMPLETE.'

Voo couldn't understand why, but he was filled with a sense of vindication as he made his way to the nearest worker pod, immediately joining a frenzy of Vaurca who were preparing the ship and her passengers for what was coming up--a new life was beginning in Tau Ceti.

What do you like about this character?

He has such a sense of wonder about humans and human space, his first real impression of the physical world was Biesel and Tau Ceti, and that's served as a glowing reminder that the real world, while not as perfect as VR, has it's own charm to work at.

How would you rate your role-playing ability? 8/10

I saw who was applying, and figured I'd toss the good 'ole +1 immediately. I like Rhoda Marks as a character, I've seen Dreidos, and I've seen Halloway. You can definitely handle a Vaurca character.

I really like your story, and the character is definitely interesting as well. There are just a few issues I have regarding the story itself. You mention that Voo is interested in humans which is fine. It's only that Voos first perceptions of the outside world was Biesel and Tau Ceti that create a problem. This is impossible because the Foretoken entered only two systems prior to commencing settling procedures, neither of which were Tau Ceti. Additionally, Tret is a barren planet with little atmosphere, it is highly unlikely that it would be green and possess liquid water. To me it feels like you maybe mixed up the Klax and Zo'ra hives, as this story would make more sense if it was a Zo'ra character.

I believe your application is solid though, if you could just address the issues I brought forward and advertise your app in game!

Zo'ra is the superior choice. Super excited to see more buggos join the growing horde. +1 from me. I like Rhoda Marks and Halloway (Haven't seen him in forever. I always enjoyed my interactions with him as Zed)
