I have indeed, Out of all the races I would / or have applied for, this one interests me the most because of how limited the species is, and the lore itself behind it is outstanding.

Why do you wish to play this specific race:

It interests me dearly, especially the fact of having a fashion and sorting with Hierarchy while being loyal to the Queen of a specific Hive, and the in capabilities they have especially with being in an Oxygen-Rich environment. They also look darn gosh amazing, a creature I also rarely see since my time being on the server, and from speaking with others - they are rarely played because they are so limited, this makes me desire to play it even further. The vision in the back of my head (currently) I can see a Vaurcan Visitor that gets to know the station, perhaps sell goods Taken from this link: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Vaurca_Hives#Ta.27Akaix.27_Xakt.27yagz.27isk_Zo.27ra and become so involved and create a reputation for himself that he may be well known and accepted enough to take higher jobs or work for others that socially places him ahead of other Vaurcas aboard any station or vessel within the system. This may be also interesting enough for planned event RP that if he gets too popular or well known, that people may even hunt him.. how much fun !

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

They require Phoron Gas through an internal tank, that's a HUGE LIMIT on the roleplayer, and they eat only foods restricted to their race. With the addition of being unable to speak thoroughly in the common galaxy language.. their speech slurs at attempting so - this heavily restricts the player but it only makes them even more interesting! The factor of applying heavily racial tensions between other races, especially humans.. that may drive some fun roleplay experiences.

Ka'Akaix' Vehx'brogh'tavh Zo'ra

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Vehx'brogh'tavh is a Zo'ra Unbound Technology Merchant, serving his (or the only) queen in the Vaurca history that wishes to negotiate with other species and interact with the market and trade, and also sell technology and research thus provided within the Virtual Reality and scraps from the Titan Prime's salvage, and other lucky findings in Space. Vehx'broh'tahv is also interested in bringing credits towards himself and his queen by selling other goods that may be in interest to other races and corporations, frequently visiting many Nanotrasen stations and posts that allow his presence, this.. Vehx'brogh'tahv believes that it will bring a notorious reputation to himself and his queen representing the Zo'ra hive.

What do you like about this character?

I believe he will do very well on the station especially if given the right tools, given that his background and this application being accepted.

Would be fun to make friends on the station and dedicated customers !

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

I am quite new to Space Station 13, but not the concept of Roleplaying.. it is one of my core fun hobbies and I have came from many games and communities more essentially from dead roleplaying games and modifications, and Garry's Mod.

I have played Space Station 13 for a few weeks and I am in mad love with it, and it's mechanics.. and it's roleplaying capability.

Notes:

I am still briefly reading the lore, and reading over parts I may have missed, and the "merchant" ordeal is a social experiment for my character and the RP IC Queen that may bring more glory and recognition to Vaurca race and their society as whole, no matter how weirdly recognized they are!

I would like to use this character first off as a(n) Visitor, Bound Merchant serving the Queen Ta'Akaix' Xakt'yagz'isk Zo'ra and sell unique technology rarely ever seen by humanoids alike throughout the Tau Ceti sector and Human Alliance space altogether, I believe this may provide unique experiences to the server including neat roleplay for station and their crew altogether.. and form a neat reputation for myself and my character.

Gonna have to give this a -1, this doesn't show understanding of Vaurca. The first few questions are okay, the answers seem exaggerated, even a bit fake, but I can't read emotions, so whatever. Now onto the character itself, this is where it really goes downhill in my opinion. First off, the name is wrong. He's Akaix, even though he's bound. Viax is bound, Akaix is unbound. The "Vehx'brogh'tavh" is wayyyy too long, the part of the name after Viax/Akaix is supposed to be a single syllable. In terms of a backstory.. what is that? He's a bound merchant with independent thought and self-awareness? Lotta problems there. Why would the Queen of a hive send a bound guy(?) to do intellectual work? Overall, this application has a ton of flaws that need to be addressed.

Theres a wiki post describing some jobs in system a Vaurca could have, but yes, some Vaurca have taken to selling shuttles..

Most likely they would start by selling scrap from the hive ship, or technology that would otherwise be seen as unuseful

Others may be directly financed by the hive, and given a ship and shuttle to be successful merchants

I wouldn't know how to improve it any better than I could, I expressed why I wanted to obtain the race and how much fun It'll be to roleplay with others; It's not like I'm trying to create a quick post to get what I want. Anyways, thanks for the feedback though..

Also the information I took from the wiki was given to me by Bygonehero so I don't see why there is a problem to use the wiki to obtain the information I need.

Application denied. I appreciate your interest in the race and urge you to reapply once you have familiarized with the server, and its roleplay style more.

For the future, keep in mind differences between bound and unbound Vaurca, as well as the setting of each hive. To me, it seems you are still getting used to the servers roleplay but I am confident after some adjustment you could reapply with a complete character for our setting.
