  1. I, Dr. Aito Kusanagi, Scientist, Science, Research and Development, would like to join SAMPLe, as a Standard Member.
  2. Very fun to RP within the Research Department. Nina's tenure as a visitor was a great experience for me to introduce her to her future job. Also, her accidents with her wheelchair makes me want to buy her LifeAlert. She falls out of her wheelchair a lot. Seriously. +1

  4. As title says, Xenoarchaeology suspension field generators should be build-able and upgrade-able via R&D. This makes it so, Xenoarchaeologists can work on multiple sites if needed be and/or replace the missing suspension field generator. Since working in zero-g is already painstakingly slow, upgrading the suspension field generator to be faster, or more energy efficient through upgraded parts would be great as well. Possible parts list:
  5. As a player who usually plays Research, Tom and Jacky are cool cats to play with. From my experience with RPing with ArcBot's characters is that they are always friendly (to my character atleast) and always active in working inside their department, making them reasonably competent. I have no objections to them getting a Vaurca whitelist. +1
  6. I'd say let R&D produce some sort of welding goggle.
  7. plays runescape, +1 supplementary picture:
  8. Updated a few errors in this guide.
  9. James Albright, my man. A wonderful person to RP with and always manages to liven up Research and sometimes the station when I play with him. Our antics together (albeit really dumb sometimes) helped us develop our characters together, all the while staying focused on the job. With this being said, I support this whitelist, although it suck to see James Albright less than usual. +1
  10. This saves time as well, I never used the RPE extensively to use it properly. Thanks.
  11. Thanks, will fix the list.
  12. Introduction People are puzzled on how Aito Kusanagi gets to high research levels in such a short amount of time with just the items produced in the lab and with no materials from mining. This guide is for people who have mid-tier or entry level experience in R&D and wish to improve their efficiency and speed. (NOTE: This guide is only to max out research levels with no external help. Illegal technologies will not be discussed in this guide yet.) But how do you get that technology? In the R&D Lab there are levels and the ways to increase those levels are: Deconstructing an item with a technology equal to the one you have Deconstructing an item with a higher technology level equal to the one you have. how do i level up Goto the Research console > Settings > Device Linkage Menu > "Re-sync with Nearby Devices" Now, we can start deconstructing for more R&D levels. The list to deconstruct follows, all of these can be found or made inside your lab. Once you have deconstructed that list, you will hit a wall where most of the items to deconstruct do not have a high enough reliability. This problem can be resolved by upgrading the parts in your Deconstructive Analyzer. With your current Research Levels, you should be able to construct a pico-manipulator, a high-power micro laser and an advanced scanning module. These parts will upgrade the stock parts in your Deconstructive Analyzer. DO NOT USE THE RAPID PART EXCHANGE DEVICE FOR THIS STEP. This is mainly due to the deconstructive analyzer being bugged and not being able to deconstruct lower reliability items when parts are exchanged with the RPE rather than manually. So, you must screwdrive the panel open on the deconstructive analyzer, crowbar the parts out and replace the circuit board and upgraded parts, then you can proceed to deconstruct the following list. Don't forget to re-link your deconstructive analyzer through the R&D console! Your research levels should be: Materials: 6 Engineering: 5 Phoron: 2 Power: 6 Bluespace: 5 Biological: 5 Combat: 5 EMP: 5 Data Theory: 5 This will allow you to produce many advanced prototypes for the crew right off the bat without any assistance from Robotics or Mining, making R&D self reliant to get to these levels of technology. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This next list is assuming you have all of the materials received from mining, this will maximize your research levels. Upgrade your deconstructive analyzer with a phasic scanning module and an ultra-high-power micro-laser and re-link the deconstructive analyzer. Finish off with this list: You should finish R&D with these levels, if you've followed the guide: Materials: 7 Engineering: 6 Phoron: 5 Power: 7 Bluespace: 5 Biological: 5 Combat: 6 EMP: 6 Data Theory: 5
  13. I see plenty of people who aren't schoolchildren and soldiers daily that carry backpacks (I carry a backpack myself). That aside, I'm leaning towards having these RIGs implemented, due to the fact that the Xenoarchaeology voidsuits are almost useless when it comes to anomalies (AOE teleporting anomalies are no joke). With the RD having the only suit in the game that will protect from anomalies, which is also seldom used when I'm playing, I support this, with the ability to buy, research and develop a module that allows for full anomaly protection. Balancing the hardsuit and their modules wouldn't be too hard, I think. Making the modules expensive and forcing the customer to ask for funds from the department can prevent every single person from having a hardsuit. Specialized modules for certain jobs are only issued to those people working in those jobs, with other specialized/experimental modules only available from R&D.
  14. Good idea! I suppose I'll give Research and new look in the near future.
  15. Some of the finds, tools and machinery in Xenoarchaeology seemed pretty bland, so I propose a visual overhaul with sprites that I've made the last two days. Carbon Dating Spectrometer: Tape Measure: Knives: Statuettes: Bowls: Claymore: Core sampler: More sprites will be added in this thread the future. Feedback, constructive criticism and suggestions pertaining to Xenoarchaeology sprites are welcome!
  16. Name: Aito Kusanagi Occupation: Scientist Email: akusanagi78@ntmail.nt Volunteering For: Male Model Experience: I have participated in a few commercials during high school, advertising some clothing. I've also appeared on cereal box designs back during that time. OOC Notes: ckey: Superballs
