Basically, when you print a powercell (Protolathe, Exosuit Fabricator or I don't know), they come fully charged and ready to use. Basically, they should come out empty and have to be charged with Heavy-duty powercell charger before being used. It should avoid the Science department printing an high number of power cell and changing them instantly when needed.

I made that one just to scare Superballs. Don't regret it.

Job-ban Xenobiologists/Scientists who let loose slimes
Pyrociraptor replied to coolbc2000's topic in Archive
The problem with deaths caused in xenobiology is usually the blame of ignorance. Security has a tendency to "Rush in, think later". Deploying Synthetics to get rid off the slimes is one alternative to lower the casualties for example, yet security tends to deal it with themselves. And EVEN when security decides to do it themselves, they rarely plan their approach properly, simply rushing into the place with fire extinguishers just to meet their doom. As someone who plays mains Medbay and has seen the many Xenobiologists receiving cryo treatment due to accidents in xenobiology, I get your point. BUT we all have to start somewhere, and the start of something doesn't always go as smoothly as you'd expect. As someone that play scientist a lot and that have, almost every shift with xenobio's, had to quickly take measure against slimes (AKA freeze ray), something against the slime could be great, or at least, for newbie xenobio, have something that would result in less painful death. The real problem is once you've got a slime on you and nobody to help, you just die and create four more slime that'll feed on even more person... Some kind of nerf against those pesky bouncy little hellball made of agony would be great, or even just some kind of anti-slimes weapon (aka Water gun) in xenobio (or at least, near the entrance) would reduce the chance of getting slimes invasion. -

What happen if you left me unattended alone in a room full of tools, different sheets, and printers. Oh and I have those one too: Quantum Safe. Enjoy the meat. Why. This one was supposed to be during a sad/dramatic post-cloning event. -
Oh hey, the double SM experiment ! I was the scientist (Aka Helmut Kronigernischultz). Its was beautiful (especially the wall of bullshit I wrote after that about it.)

When people are bored, they usually play games, watch videos, do thing... And I'm here, doing.... PSEUDO-SCIENCE ! (Doing this usually in game with my character, Helmut Kronigernischultz.) So basically, this post is where I'm gonna post my bullshit Pseudo-science for feedbacks/improvement/Idon'tknowreally. Here's the thing I'm putting my creativity on, Bluespace theory ! Its still incomplete as I'm still working on it.

[Accepted] Youbar's Head of Staff Application
Pyrociraptor replied to Youbar's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Will I haven't seen much his "human" character (mostly because we got different timezone and play time), I've encountered Big Brother, and I have to say, one of the Best AI I've seen. Also, he gave me a good hand writing my character's bio, showing that he's good with RP in general, especially backstory. -
When I did the first one, I was still kinda unknown, but now, I'm retrying. BYOND key: Pyrociraptor Character names: Emmerich Mullerizoschulizt, Stanislas von Kurgebergst, Hanz Velderbigrzest, Jonathan Joleculington,PyroBOT, Others character with a long family name How long have you been playing on Aurora?: More than 6 months now Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: The role of Head of Staff is an extra challenge with more responsabilities, but also more abilities. Why did you come to Aurora?: I was switching between two server back then. One day, they got shut down, and I was looking for another server with some real roleplay. And then I found Aurora. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yep, all of them. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: "Playing" Roleplay is becoming one with the character you're playing with. You act, think and play the way you imagine your character would. Your in-game knowledge is limited to your character's one,and according to his backstory. OOC Information can't be used in-game; Even if you know the whole wiki, that doesn't mean that your character will know everything. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The Head of Staff is the one in charge of his Departement, and must be able to do the job of anyone in said departement. He's also the one that get his departement working, by either giving work to his staff, approving request, and doing some of the most important Paperwork. The Head of Staff other important roles is, with other Head of Staff, take care of any problem or threat to the station, and should think before doing anything. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: OOC-Wise, the Head of Staff is a model for his department, but also the one that coordinate it. He is supposed to know a bit of every job that make his department, and should be able to easily replace any missing staff for it. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Stanislas von Kurgebergst Character age: 42 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): (Thanks to Youbar for that bio.) Stanislas, otherwise known as Stan to his friends, comes from an Aristocratic family. He aspired to be a scientist in his youth, and extensively trained in courses relating to telescience, anomalies, and robotics. At the age of 18, he applied for an apprenticeship at a company exploring and testing the limits of robotics, and it was there that he assembled his first cyborg. Shortly after, however, a failed coups d'état attempt escalated into a civil war, leaving the country divided and the economy stifled. The company cut its losses and fired redundancies such as Stanislas, and he was forced to find work elsewhere. For the remainder of the war, his time was spent treating injured with basic medical skills he'd acquired, and repairing prosthetic limbs in return for food, water, and a limited stream of income from donations. Stanislas's opportunity to learn further into the field of science was crushed, his knowledge restricted to basic textbooks from childhood schooling, and the limited experience he had during his apprenticeship. He did acquire a new passion, though: engineering. Stanislas applied to become a part of the government's massive rebuild efforts, his duties initially restricted to manual labour, but over the years he was elevated to a position where he took part in more advanced construction duties, such as rebuilding houses and infrastructure. Just after his 30th birthday, Stanislas was offered a chance to test his abilities in space. Applying some of his limited scientific knowledge, he patched up a singularity engine with a fair amount of difficulty and managed to re-establish power to a dated station which served as an entertainment platform. The operation having taken only half as long as expected, the government noted his abilities and sent him on an advanced engineering course. It explained complicated wire circuits, the physics behind pressure distribution, and advanced construction. Stanislas was applying this knowledge to his next project when Nanotrasen contacted him, giving him a chance to work in a top of the line research station, the NSS Aurora. He disliked their profit based motives, but it offered an undeniable opportunity to expand his abilities even further. What do you like about this character?: Mostly that we're both Engineer. Not in the same "department", but still. What do you dislike about this character?: He's not the kind one, and prefer an aggressive approach of situations. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Stanislas spent many years in his department, and learned many thing during his life. He's qualified to be a Chief Engineer, but still tries to expand his knowledge. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10, While I'm bad at writing biographies/Backstories, I easily get "inside" my character. Extra notes: Most of my characters are german, and All of them have accent. (Aka Emmerich the Warden.) Also, I master Pseudo-science ! Behold !

[Accepted] Ricky's Unathi app
Pyrociraptor replied to Ricky_the_banshee's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
From what I've seen with his "Curel Wald" character, Ricky's one of the most "RP player". So a new unlocked race for him could bring us a whole new roleplay experience. +1 -
BYOND key: Pyrociraptor Character names: Emmerich Mullerizoschulizt, Stanislas von Kurgebergst, Arthur MacGregorivert, Charles Duvalebas, Jonathan Joleculington,PyroBOT, Others character with a long family name How long have you been playing on Aurora?: More than 6 months now Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Playing Head of Staff is an interresting challenge, where you have to lead either a Departement or the whole station. Why did you come to Aurora?: I was switching between two server back then. One day, they got shut down, and I was looking for another server with some real roleplay. And then I found Aurora. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes. (and almost all of the wiki.) Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is entering a "character" and all of his emotions, knowledge and mannerisms. You have to think and act like your character does, and according to his background. Considering that you are "him", You are limited to the knowledge he has acquired, meaning that you can't use OOC information you have seen. (I.E. Even if you know the whole wiki, That doesn't mean that an Engineer should be able to do the job of a Robotist.) What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The Head of Staff is the one in charge of his Departement, and must be able to do the job of anyone in said departement. He's also the one that get his departement working, by either giving work to his staff, approving request, and doing some of the most important Paperwork. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: The Head of Staff is a role model for his staff, and have to coordinate his team. He's the only one that can make his departement reach maximum productivity peaks. However,in case of a major problem related to his departement, He's the one that will have to respond and take full responsibilities. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Stanislas von Kurgebergst Character age: 42 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Stanislas, otherwise known as Stan to his friends, comes from an Aristocratic family. (Thanks to Youbar) What do you like about this character?: Like me, he love Engineering, and love to yell at people because they aren't working enough ! What do you dislike about this character?: He focused on Engineering too much, And didn't try to explore other activity sector What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: As he's old enough (Aged and on work experience),and saw some critical situation (Civil war), He know how to react to most common problem inside a isolated station. (Heat that may lead to mutiny, technical problem, or even critical evacuation procedure.) Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10, I'm not really great with writing Backstories, but I'm actually great with actual "in game" roleplay. Extra notes: I know almost all of the SS13 (Bay station in particular) Wiki.
