Why do you wish to play this specific race:
I played it once, by spawning as a Diona Nymph. I found the experience enjoyable. The name I used under "Character Name" (see below) was this character's name. I also thought the roleplay was interesting. SS13 had kind of gotten stale, but being an entirely new species made it interesting again.
Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:
Well, for one, the game mechanics themselves mean my behavior must be different. After all, a human wouldn't have to worry much about lighting, and would be much faster than me. Whereas I can't move very fast, and lighting for me can be the difference between life and death.
A human has to worry about air and food, whereas I am fine without both, as long as I have light.
I can split into multiple creatures, or become an entirely new one as a nymph.
As for more lorebased things, I'm an amalgamation of many, as opposed to a single individual, meaning I shouldn't see myself as/act like an individual, but rather as a well coordinated group.
I have little emotion. This kind of speaks for itself.
Character Name: Piles of Red Fruit
Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs
Born on the station himself, he is fairly familiar/intimate with the station. It has some meaning to him, and as such he wishes to work on it. Starting out as a simple assistant, he hopes to learn much, and that maybe one day he could take on a more important role in the station. (I would put more, but, I mean, what is there to say? He was born on the station a shift or two ago, he hasn't exactly gone on a soul searching journey.)
What do you like about this character?
Well, I like that instead of simply popping into existence, with everything about where he came from being so much fluff, that I actually got to see him come into being, in the form of a nymph.
How would you rate your role-playing ability?
3/5 I try to avoid metagaming or breaking character, but I will occasionally do something goofy (Read placing banana peels around as botanist).
