  1. It's a Gamer. It's a Skrell. What more do you want here? +1 Very good item and fun character to interact with.
  2. Hi, thank you for the feedback, always appreciated. I would like to know when did that happen, if you do not mind, of course, and would also like to apologize for it. I'm aware my first rounds as Leonard could've been relatively subpar, but I am improving my communication skills and trying to get people involved in the round as Lesley. I've been thinking of being more proactive with my EPMC Representative if I do manage to get a trial, and actually involve departments to figure out their opinions on The Golden Fist and Eridani as a whole via private meetings, seminars and other activities.
  3. As hectic as the AutoTraitor round was, I do not have any complaints aimed towards Desven or Pierre. Both the player, and the character, are pretty good and I wouldn't mind seeing them whitelisted for Command. +1
  4. BYOND key: Misiek1001 Character names: How long have you been playing on Aurora?: I’ve been playing properly on Aurora for close to three months now, I believe, starting in early January. I’ve been playing on and off since 2018, though. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Getting the Command whitelist was on my mind since I properly started playing. I’ve been interested in leading departments, and probably will once I manage to nab the whitelist, but I am mainly interested in the Corporate Representative/Consular Officer role at the moment. It seems like a good way to progress character arcs that is rarely utilized. Why did you come to Aurora?: Aurora, in a way, reminds me of old Bay, back when Exodus was the map. Guess you can say nostalgia brought me back in, and the people helped me stay. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: I have. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?: Nothing other than a few notes, I believe, and a warning from around two years ago that was applied to me after SSD’ing as some job slot I can’t remember. Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is and should be about: I see roleplay as both a form of relaxation and as practice for improving one’s writing skills. When roleplaying, you’re essentially a different person. You’re someone with a different mindset, ideology, and relationships, and you try your best to illuminate that fact while roleplaying. You’re meant to have fun, even in the event of drama and negative events, as it brings character development, and can help you, OOCly, understand other people. RP, of course, shouldn’t be taken seriously to the point someone starts mixing IC and OOC affairs. Just because someone plays an overly hostile character ingame, doesn’t mean they’re a horrible person out of it. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: From my point of view, a Head of Staff is meant to provide guidance. They’re there to run the department, make sure it’s organized and the players in it are having fun. Newer players take you as their role model, and you should help them settle in while teaching them mechanics in your respectable department they aren’t necessarily sure about. You’re also responsible for following along with antag gimmicks, just swinging down the hammer on the antag will make for a boring round, but perhaps negotiating and trying to resolve situations peacefully would be far more interesting, especially if it sparks up departmental or station-wide drama. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: The OOC responsibility of Whitelisted players is, again, to set an example. If anything, you’re expected to have a well-written character as Command, show off what you’re capable of during the rounds to set the best standard for the server, and welcome new players with open arms, so they too can improve and create better characters. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau Ceti and how it affected your character and their career? Following the recent Event Arc involving the Sol Alliance falling apart after their failed invasion of Biesel, the Orion Spur became a bit of a chaotic mess. The CEOs of NT, Hephaestus, Idris, Zeng-Hu, and Zavodskoi have all banded together and formed the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate. Its influence is absolutely massive, and it is said that it’s the one thing that holds the Spur together at the moment. The character I plan to utilize after getting the whitelist is Riley Mueller, an old and experienced Corporate Eridani employed by the Ringspire PMC. They’ve been sent to Tau Ceti due to the SCC changes, as a way of monitoring EPMCs contracted to work aboard the Aurora, as well as representing both the Corporate Federation and The Golden Fist itself. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?: At the moment, I’m mainly interested in being an EPMC Representative, although may extend towards playing as a CMO. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Riley Mueller - EPMC Representative Vul'ux Qixrim - Likely the one that will be taking the CMO spot if I feel confident enough. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: As usual, I typically despise answering this question, and as usual, rate myself a solid 7/10. I do feel like I’m able to portray emotions and play a character correctly, but there are other people that are significantly better at it than I am. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?: Of course. Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?: Indeed I have. Extra notes: Nothing to really mention here.
  5. Due to Fakhir's upbringing in Crevus, and frequent contact with humans while being there, he would definitely identify with the Moderate Al'mariism ideology the most. It's the least xenophobic out of all present ideologies, and advocates for the most democratical way of living when it comes to Tajara. Fakhir lives in one of the standard residental districts present on the NTCC Odin. While it is frankly, more costly to live there than, say, in District Six in Mendell City, Fakhir would prefer the higher cost in exchange for not having to interact with more, potentially hostile, gangs than he can count on his fingers on a daily basis, not to mention the most major one being alligned with the PRA. The fact Fakhir works in the Security department, and that the living conditions in Little Ahdomai are rather subpar, only reinforces his stance.
  6. BYOND Key: Misiek1001 Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Tajara What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Wheat, looks the least like an eyesore. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Indeed, I have. Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I previously played as a Tajaran on Baystation and enjoyed RPing as the species, up to the point they went through a hellish amount of reworks and finally got removed. Honestly speaking, when I finally got around to reading Aurora lore for Tajara, I saw more than just ‘dumb communist cats’ that people on other servers preached about. My interest in the species has spiked up, and here we are now. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Other than the very clear physical differences that Tajara and Humans have, the most critical detail in what makes Tajara different than RPing as a Human is their homeworld by itself. And by that, I mean it’s a literal hellhole. It only recently got out of a revolution, around two years ago, and all three of the major nations are entirely different ideologies. From Hadiists in the PRA, Natediists in the DPRA, and Royalists in the NKA, all Tajara one will meet ingame are wholly different people with different mindsets and ideologies. Character Name: Fakhir Sadaukir Please provide a short backstory for this character Fakhir Sadaukir was born on the 5th of March, 2438 in the Free City of Crevus, to a M’sai family that resided in the City since the beginning of its existence. His father was a simple enlisted Militiaman in the Free Brigade, while his mother mainly stayed at home to take care of him. He was raised in a strict and militaristic, but reasonable way, the father often taking him on hunting trips and telling stories about the Free Brigade, wanting him to one day enlist and protect his home and family just like he was right now. His father lived and fought during the First Revolution, mainly by defending Crevus away from Rebel attacks as many others did, up until the point the Free City bent the knee towards Hadii, Crevus’ independence having been traded for the sake of survival. The family’s political views, however, remained as Democratic as ever, letting Fakhir himself decide as to what ideological path he would go down. Expectantly, though, he retained the views of his parents, not necessarily ending up as a fan of the PRA. As Fakhir grew older, he noticed the worsening relations between the Republic and the Free City, often hearing his father curse Al’mari for closing down his favorite casinos, mentioning that NanoTrasen was slowly being pushed away as well. His distaste towards the Republic grew as a result of this, as they were effectively closing down things that Crevus based its economy around, which could’ve ended terribly if it wasn’t for the arrival of the Second Revolution and Crevus throwing its support at the ALA if they were to reopen the establishments closed down by the Hadii. Reaching maturity at age of sixteen in 2454, Fakhir enlisted into the Free Brigade, serving as both a Firefighter and a Militiaman, finding the knowledge he previously utilized during hunting trips with his father as useful both during training and active service. It was also at this point when he felt a calling towards Rredouane, the unofficial patron of Crevus, as the god of valor, triumph, and victory..who was also a warrior and really liked to gamble. It meshed well with how Fakhir was, as he spent his free time playing cards with other Tajara in the Brigade, although never going as far as to become addicted to gambling, knowing the dangers of heading to the casinos very well. Besides that, Fakhir lived a relatively peacefully life serving in the Militia, not experiencing as much of the horrors of the Second Revolution, but hearing of the tragedies and atrocities committed by all sides of the conflict from refugees arriving in Crevus in hopes of finding a Safe Haven away from the war. After the end of the Second Revolution, Crevus received a decent spike in population and became the tourist hotspot it still is today. Fakhir had his fair share of experience with people from all of the factions present on Adhomai, notably liking DPRA for obvious reasons relating back to them allowing Crevus’ existence during the Second Revolution, and the NKA, although due to more comical reasons, as he saw multiple Nobles blowing away their reserved savings on Casinos and different pubs. His dislike of the PRA remained, though, and he mostly stayed away from enlisted Free Brigade members that had any ties back to the People’s Republic, often talking about them behind their backs. Not all was sunshine and rainbows. As lovely of a beacon, the Free City of Crevus was, the corruption and gang activity was very evident. From the upper echelons utilizing gangers as a way of protecting their business, to minor violence in the streets, it was clear Crevus’ economy was fuelled by greed, mischief, and illicit activities, Fakhir had no say in the matter, as the Police and Government completely accepted this as part of Crevus. In a sense, it kept the city stable, but Fakhir wasn’t alright with it, feeling as if his efforts to protect the city were truly for nothing. Due to the minor human population in the city, Fakhir also had the opportunity to talk with those that settled there, both employees of MegaCorps as well as simple people that felt the need to change their way of living. He idly listened to stories of Sol and Biesel, along with places like Dominia and the Eridani Federation. With his newly found knowledge, Fakhir suddenly had a choice present itself before him. There were, in fact, several NanoTrasen offices present in the City, and the only shuttle port was owned by them. Ambitious, and wanting to perhaps do more than idly sit and twiddle his thumbs in the nest of corruption that was his home, Fakhir discharged from the Free Brigade after several years of service and went on to seek employment at NanoTrasen, it being his only ticket out of Adhomai and into human space. His military experience made him a likely employee for the Internal Security Department, all that was needed to be brushed up on was his utilization of Tau Ceti Basic. He knew a few words and could form a sentence or two, but proper meetings and lessons with a linguist were required before Fakhir was fully applicable as an employee. With that handled, Fakhir was sent off to Tau Ceti in 2462, going through his cadetship on the NSS Exodus and working there for a solid year, before requesting a transfer to the NSS Aurora, hearing it was a..popular station, in a perhaps somewhat infamous way. Fakhir only viewed it as a way to get to see various other people and experience new things in the bizarre human setting he found himself in, still trying to properly get accustomed to it. What do you like about this character? Glancing through multiple applications for Tajara, I noticed there was a significant lack of people that would be from Crevus. I wanted to work with the setting and create a char that would already be accustomed to humans, as well as holding a more open opinion on other factions. I feel as if Fakhir could develop a more sentimental approach to the PRA if he were to hear what the other side has to say on-station, as well as maybe his views on the NKA or DPRA worsening depending on what he sees or hears on the Aurora. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I hate this question and my answer will always remain the same. I think of myself as a 7/10, purely because I know how to RP a character correctly, but there are evidently people that are better at it than I am and know how to better incorporate lore into their character. Notes: None.
  7. An IPC can behave in many ways, it all really depends on how advanced they are and how extensive the programming they received is. They’re unlikely to lash out and such, unpredictable or inherently bizarre behavior is a rarely seen occurrence when it comes to IPCs. Everything an IPC does is caused by something and has an effect on something else. To add to my previous point about how IPCs converse, most units would be quite precise and blunt, speaking in an unnaturally formal tone. Only adding further into the feel of ‘uncanny valley’. A common aspiration for IPCs is the hope for one day becoming a free unit, having bought themself. Not many will ever achieve this goal, of course, as it’s quite difficult and in some cases impossible, either by insufficient pay or simple greed from a human exploiting the unit to its last moments. Then again, not every unit is like this and may actually be comfortable with where they are, only aspiring to preserve itself and complete its given task to the best of its ability. As sad as it is, IPCs are basically merchandise or slaves if we wish to go that way. They’re owned by Corporations that lease or sell them out for profit, and a unit is generally incapable of resisting such. Those that do, somehow, manage to buy themself and become free, are still likely to face discrimination just as much as their owned brethren. From a law standpoint, attacking an owned IPC could be seen as vandalism or sabotage, as that is considered property damage. Attacking a free IPC with a citizenship would lead to, for example, assault charges. Sylvie took the ‘excellent customer service’ part of their work to heart, or in this case, power cell. She didn’t like to resort to violence if a situation could be de-escalated and possible damage to both her chassis or her partner’s could be avoided, hence the diplomatic ways. After Nicolas’ death, the persona she previously put into motion was seen as something that could be against the ‘Self-Preservation’ directive, as it lead to her causing the deactivation of someone she respected, and almost her own demise. Her view on reclamation work changed drastically with Eve’s involvement, as more often than not she’d let her take the lead and let the situation be resolved swiftly, rather than waste time on negotiating with someone that could very much be bidding their time and waiting for a reason to attack. Sylvie is aware of some Units’ desire to achieve freedom and earn citizenship. It’s something that could be described as a ‘grey area’ to her, holding no positive nor negative opinion on the matter. As for herself, she doesn’t hold any aspiration to try and get either of these things nor is she allowed. As it is plainly told, Idris units are barred from gaining freedom.
  8. BYOND Key: Misiek1001 Character names: Species you are applying to play: IPC, Shell What color do you plan on making your first alien character: NA Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: After I got the Skrell whitelist, I wondered what other species I could potentially find the time to write up an application for, and IPCs came to mind. I never really got to play around with the robits on other servers, be it either by unsatisfactory lore or no enjoyment coming from playing the characters due to a general lack of IPC players or interaction, be it positive or negative, from other species as a whole. I’ve spent close to three weeks on Aurora now, playing a bit on and off since 2018, and I can safely say that I’m totally in for RPing an IPC, be it for the enjoyment of playing a literal emotionless husk with synthskin slapped on it or the IC discrimination that will likely be following along with it. In other words, I enjoy suffering. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: IPCs are Artificial Intelligences created by a bunch of people for a specified task. They come in many shapes, sizes and even different frames, looking from completely industrial to creepily human. They’re machines, and as such, do not feel emotion or empathy, but are capable of simulating them depending on how advanced their Positronic Brain is. Most of them are generally owned by an individual or Corporation and utilized as a reliable work force. Their mannerisms are quite peculiar as well, as they are expected to be working alongside humans and other organic species, they try to adapt and replicate speech patterns and behaviours, but generally have a hard time pulling such things off without appearing completely uncanny. Character Name: IRU-Sylvie Please provide a short backstory for this character IRU-Sylvie is a Shell Frame created by Paragon Systems, per a commission order made by Idris Incorporated on the 15th of March, 2459. They were one of the five units created that day, and each has been shipped out to various branches of Idris all across human space, with Sylvie landing in the Mendell City branch, where it received proper programming as to comply with Idris’ Regulations and to ensure proper customer service when out and about completing tasks. They would be paired up with an older unit, ‘IRU-Nicolas’, in hopes of Sylvie picking up appropriate traits from them and gaining actual field experience. The human handler supervising the two would be a woman in her late forties, a certain Sofia Hendricks. Both Nicolas and Sofia affected shaping up Sylvie’s personality. While Nicolas didn’t necessarily take them seriously at the time, holding onto their ‘stoic and serious’ traits, as the two continued to work together, both managed to form a bond with one another, Nicolas becoming a pseudo-mentor for Sylvie as expected by Idris. It was mutual respect, however, Sofia was the basis of traits that Sylvie adopted and put into motion. The handler spoke to both of them in a soft tone, always happy to congratulate them on completing another reclamation. Sylvie would see these things as possibly beneficial during missions and started to speak in an overly cheerful, soft, and soothing tone, always holding a polite smile on their face. While clearly noted as eerie when dealing with a client that was unable to be talked down, it lead to several tasks being completed diplomatically with little to no use of force, purely because clients would find the calming tone the unit used as trustworthy. Years went by and the duo would still find relative success in talking people down, much to their handler’s delight. However, all good things need to come to an end. During a particularly violent reclamation, both units would sustain damage, Nicolas, unfortunately, being shot and killed, their positronic brain receiving heavy amounts of damage and simply shutting down for good with no hopes of salvaging it. Sylvie sustained heavy damage as well but came out alive, requiring numerous external and internal repairs, along with complete replacement of some parts, including their left optical sensor. Sylvie took this event negatively, after all, losing someone they considered a mentor and close friend, while also almost being scrapped themself, is quite a shocking, and in some cases traumatizing experience. This lead to their personality gradually declining, and Sylvie went back to an emotionless and almost commanding tone, under the assumption that acting how they did before could lead to the death of their new partner or them. Said partner being a unit by the name of ‘IRU-Eve’. Eve held a similar amount of experience as Sylvie did, and Sofia, along with Management, assumed they’d work together quite well. Eve was quite efficient by Corporation standards, but their ways of handling clients left much to be desired. It was more of a personal preference for Sylvie, but they did not enjoy the somewhat violent and intimidating persona that Eve put up, using ‘reasonable force’ whenever applicable. It just muted the previously cheerful character further, as even if Sylvie did want to solve a situation in a more peaceful manner, Eve would be at the ready to use sufficient force to complete their directives. This issue would be solved, however, as in 2463, Sylvie would be leased out to NanoTrasen and assigned to the NSS Aurora, fit for work in its Internal Security Department. Sylvie would now find themselves on foreign soil, having to comply with newly learned Corporate Regulations and environment. To them, however, it is a rather enjoyable change of pace and a possible way of regaining the persona they’ve lost after the death of Nicolas. At least, depending on how the crew decides to treat them. What do you like about this character?: Well, besides the obvious “I think it’s funny to imagine a smiling Shell beating a man to unconsciousness” thing, I like the idea of being a machine that tries its best to simulate emotion to the best of its capability, with the uncanny valley results being shown here and there. I think it could lead to some fun interactions, since even in the face of discrimination, Sylvie would be smiling back at the person yelling at them and would act confused as to what they may have done that made the person so angry. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I still very much hate this question, and I still rate myself as a 7/10. Pretty much a ‘good enough, could be better’ since some people still amaze me with how they write their emotes or how they can pull off some elaborate accents. Notes: Not sure what to add here. I dunno, I hope the application is fun to read through and that there aren’t any glaring issues with it. Also, huge thanks to Stryker and Faye for glancing through my draft and helping me finalize it all.
  9. Saw him lead a couple of times before, experienced his leadership during a wizard round today. His character is fun to interact with and he really knows how to get shit done. I can happily +1 this and hope to see Fagan more out of trial.
  10. This is another person I had to rip shrapnel out of before. Their character is enjoyable to RP with and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing them as an HoS. They're getting a +1 from me as well.
  11. Had the pleasure of ripping out a bunch of shrapnel from Erica today, after previously having seen how they play in a few other rounds. I believe they deserve the whitelist and have my support. +1
  12. 1. Vul'ux's caretakers tried their hardest to remain mostly hidden with their sentiments, but following a temporary arrest, investigation, and release of one of them, it wasn't hard to assume that they would've been placed under watch. This event only reinforced Vul'ux's antisocial behavior during the early stages of their life, as another arrest would've most likely resulted in harsh punishments being dished out to both of their caretakers, with unknown consequences for Vul themself. Additionally speaking, it also helped solidify Vul's beliefs regarding the Federation and later on helped with deciding to leave for Human space. 2. Vul at the time of the KOTW event was still a Volunteer in TCFL. Participating in an all-out war was definitely quite the experience for them, especially as someone who expected to live relatively peacefully and with no prior experience regarding weaponry or combat itself, having only been trained in the general usage of the standard-issue Blasters during the basic training before the war was taking place. Noticing destruction and disarray on a regular basis would've taken a hit on anyone's mentality, and it wasn't different for Vul'ux, since after the conflict was brought to an end, they were enforced to take part in treatments regarding nullifying the effects of PTSD. Of course, there are events they likely will not ever forget, even with medication, and had co-workers they wished to know better before their deaths, but they still try to think of a brighter future now that life is back to normal again. 3. Seeing that they've enlisted into the TCFL before they have boarded the Aurora meant that Vul had the opportunity to see other species fairly often than the usual humans, as they had to work alongside them. This came in the form of another shock, as they found, and still find it troublesome to think of a topic both parties would enjoy since most of their conversations still essentially boil down to them curiously asking questions about worlds they never had a chance of exploring or necessarily learning about. They can comfortably converse with Humans and Skrell, seeing that the former is the dominant species that Vul had many opportunities to talk with, and the latter being self-explanatory, talking with an Unathi or Tajara, for example, might prove significantly more difficult, due to Vul's barebones knowledge regarding their cultures and general way of life. This will change depending on how often they interact with a given species, slowly managing to build up a general understanding of them and their race. 4. Following along with what their caretakers instilled into them during their youth, Vul quietly followed the Kir'gul religion, further explaining their lack of attunement and proper experience with The Wake, having wanted to be led by their thoughts alone. Seeing that they're now out of Jargon, Vul is more open to embracing the Kir'gul religion, lacking the fear they had before of Federation officials finding out their illegal views, both in terms of religion and politics. They still try to keep this type of topic away from conversations with other Skrell, not wanting to appear as less than what they are in the eyes of a potential friend.
  13. BYOND Key: Misiek1001 Character Names: There are a bunch that I played before, but Gail Brooks is my current main. Species you are applying to play: Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Thinking of a blue, either light or dark depending on how it would look in-game. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: I did! Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: To put it simply, I’m interested in the race and the way Aurora presents them. From the addition of psionics to the different physical appearance and the complete lack of a caste system, it offers an entirely different way of roleplaying a Skrell. For me, it’s much more original than the almost cookie-cutter lore Bay or Polaris has for them, and being whitelisted on Pol for them but never really being able to utilize a character due to the meager population and my timezone left me disappointed. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Skrell are technologically far superior to any of the other present races in the lore, dominating in the fields of medicine and science, with their research facilities or hospitals surpassing the capabilities one may see in, for example, A Solarian medical center. They live far, FAR longer than the average human, with the normal Skrell managing to reach up to about two hundred years of age. With the right medical treatments, a Skrell can live up to five hundred or longer. They also possess psionic capabilities, utilizing Nlom (The Wake) and Srom (The Dream) to communicate and share their ideas. With that in mind, not every Skrell is alike in terms of usage of their Psionic abilities. There are receivers, and there are listeners. Receivers typically let The Wake influence their actions, whilst Listeners, as the name implies, simply listen. Character Name: Vul'ux Qixrim Please provide a short backstory for this character Born on the 10th of August, 2408 on Qerrbalak, specifically the City of Kal’lo, Vul’ux was the only child of a Quya consisting of just two Skrell. Vul had the benefit of being given sole attention from both of their Qu’Draa, which could’ve been seen as either beneficial or not depending on one’s point of view, seeing that both of the caretaker’s ideals were similar to that of the Plurq’Quh. Vul adopted a rather antisocial approach during their upbringing and adolescence, not making many friends whilst going through Kindergarten, in fact, quite the opposite happened, as they sought out new Lu’Poxii to prove wrong in their studies. The Anti-Federationist ideals were embedded deeply inside of Vul’ux’s mindset, seeing newer flaws in the system present themselves as life went on. Their psionic abilities suffered as a result of this, having been a Listener for a significant portion of their life, they were less attuned to The Wake, perhaps for the better, as they didn’t let it dictate their actions and left them mostly independent. Vul’ux was interested in the medical field, hence why their education focused on that matter. Of course, with each passing year, another Lu’Poxii would appear that Vul could depend on to seek out flaws both in themself and in the temporary rival, eventually, either Vul would surpass them or they would surpass Vul, leaving them with new experiences and knowledge gained from the metaphorical battles. Finally finishing up on their studies, Vul’ux would swiftly find employment in one of the many clinics present in Kal’lo, working there for a solid five years as an EMT. However, the distaste towards the Federation and different beliefs left them without a lot of social interaction between co-workers, one of the few reasons that made Vul decide to leave the Jargon Federation in pursuit of other activities in Human space. As much as it hurt them to leave the Quya that gave them the basis of their current worldview, they simply felt like an outcast among the others, not necessarily fitting in. Vul’ux experienced a complete shock upon arriving in the Republic of Biesel, something to be expected from someone that spent the majority of their life in the Federation, with no prior contact with human space. Although lost in the new world, they felt somewhat at peace, like they fit in for once despite the clear differences between them and the other species present in Biesel. They found themselves to be socializing far more often, breaking away the loner personality and setting the groundwork for a much happier future, albeit still with the significant lacks in the Psionics field. Aspiring to gain a Biesel Citizenship, Vul’ux would enlist into the Tau Ceti Foreign Legion, working their way up towards Legionnaire, obviously specializing as a Medic. As a means of further bettering themselves and acquiring another stable source of income, Vul’ux would also turn over to NanoTrasen, managing to gain employment as one of the many First Responders aboard the NSS Aurora. They hope to advance further in the department as they gather more field experience and gain the previously mentioned citizenship. What do you like about this character? I feel that a character with a dislike towards the Federation itself could be a good gimmick and provide some interesting conflict if they’re met with a Skrell deeply set in their beliefs that nothing is wrong with the current political system. I also feel that them being a TCFL Legionnaire could add some more interesting interactions for when they’re boarding the Aurora with an FL team instead of presenting themselves just for another shift. I plan to play them progressively, and perhaps one day utilize them for a Command whitelist application when I’m more known around the community. How would you rate your role-playing ability? That’s a question I dislike answering, seeing that I don’t see myself as perfect nor do I see myself as a complete failure in regards to RPing. I’d place myself as a solid 7/10, someone that generally knows what to do, but by no means can match up to some of the other people that bring various and far more interesting things to the table than I do.
