One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play Diona because they're so different and alien than human beings. They - by definition - are so different from us that putting myself in that mindset, trying to play the deliberate thinker or schemer as opposed to the more fast-paced and for-the-moment McGrath would be interesting; Especially given the Diona's mechanics, life cycle, and how they interact with other races. I want to play Diona because they're strange, and I love the strange and weird. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Diona are tree-men. They can vary from small seeds to rings of organisms surrounding the corona of stars. Diona are slow, deliberate, and infinitely curious, and are gentle and non-violent. They also do not do well in the dark, and speak like they move- Carefully, slowly, and deliberately. Character Name: Song of the Stars Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Song of the Stars is a rather old Diona that has hardened due to age, growing a hard bark covering over the area of his bodies that aren't joints. Born ages ago, the diona has gone from being able to speak a great deal of things, even teach, to speaking phrases containing his own name or words within it, due to hardening of the fibrous materials of his body. He has been working various odd jobs for the station, slowly and deliberately, finding peace and tranquility in menial work and exploration of the galaxy and his thoughts. He enjoys reading and meeting new people, despite the difficulties he has with communication. What do you like about this character? I want to create a Scruffy-esque character who's always doing some different minor job in the background. I want a character who represents the strangeness of working on a station with aliens, I want to write a funny scene where a slow and plodding diona janitor has to get to the other end of the station to deal with a spill and taking thirty minutes. To keep her hands free for work, and due to her constant need to communicate, Rebecca has created a rig for her forearm and completely deconstructed and remade her own PDA, in order to keep her hands available faster than keeping her PDA as a handheld item. It's also a testament to her ingenuity and creativity. Item function(s): The item functions as a wrist-mounted computer attached to one of her insulated work gloves, and fits within the glove inventory space, as well as a reskin for her PDA. Item description: Rebecca's modified PDA provides a stabilized brace for her PDA, which is attached to her glove on her left forearm. The PDA has been been systematically rebuilt from the ground up, with a flexible hardened screen and various touchscreen items, and has been modified to operate within landscape mode, rather than portrait. With a few touches of her fingers, the PDA can activate a halogen scanner, atmospheric information, or send a text to a fellow coworker. Item appearance: The wrist unit attaches to her forearm and clips into her glove, with a magnetic clasp that ties it to the underside of her arm. The screen has various readouts about her work, and an onboard messaging service that taps into the messenger server on the Aurora. It also has a pen slot, along with a slot her her ID. I'll get back to you with a better character item. I'm just getting the bad ideas out there, trust me, I'll get something good eventually.

Furthermore, I had -little- to fucking deal with the drama that involved your character opening fire on an unarmed civilian. Rebecca made a jab at Rivette, and within five minutes, a security officer had stormed into engineering by jumping the table and wanted to arrest her. So if you would stop fucking assuming I have anything to do with any 'triangle' between Blade, whom my character barely knows, and Rivette, a character my character despises and doesn't actively seek out conversation past insults and barbs, then maybe you can move on from this.

I'm doing my best as McGrath, she only recently got involved in the bullshit with Rivette. I just want to roleplay as an engineer, the personal drama is just on the side. I've tried to create a believable character with flaws, positives and successes and failures. She just happens to be gay. She happens to be in the middle of a dispute with another character. If you people are really so fucking sick of her already I'll fucking stop playing her.

From Rebecca McGrath, Why wouldn't you just close the doors? Why did that have to be so difficult? Why did you have to stress that I do it? You outright refused to do it until I practically had to twist your arm. There was a virus affecting the doors! You could have spent two seconds at most on closing the doors and assisting me as I got the lights rather than refusing to help me outright. You chose instead to just ignore your lawset at my expense.
