  3. BYOND key: OneWingedMajora Character names: Alexander Simmons, Siskia Desgora, a vox named Guyman Baldhead How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Since about either late July to early August was when I joined. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: One of the main reasons I'd like to become a head of staff is because I see few players doing so. I find it rather annoying when you want to get your job changed and there's no HoP or need to get something signed and there's no head around. So rather than complaining about it I thought I'd try and help out by getting a head whitelist. Why did you come to Aurora?: I came to Aurora because I saw that many of my friends were moving to it due to Unbound Travels, the successor to BestRP, was collapsing upon itself and I was looking for a new place to roleplay. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: I have been roleplaying for about four years now over various forms of RP games and gamemodes such as HL2RP, WoWRP, Various Gmod RPs, and SS13RP. To me, roleplay is about becoming an actor in a play and changing my mindset to revolve around someone else's beliefs. As such there are two parts of roleplay to me which should never be mixed up: OOC and IC. I always try to make sure that I don't let my character's death affect me and get me angry (though it is hard sometimes I admit) especially if it was a well roleplayed death. On the flipside I don't let my OOC wants get in the way of IC. An example of that would be perhaps I want to play security today, I'm not going to spontaneously change my character's personality and skillset to accommodate the job even if I know how to do it. To me, I like to just immerse myself into the world I roleplay in and attempt to see through the eyes of someone else, which is one of the main reasons I find it more interesting to have to change my view of the world to fit a certain species. Alexander Simmons is a fun character to play because of his view of the world with moral grays and everything being dictated by biology and psychology which leads to fun scenarios as other people around me can attest to. Roleplay shouldn't be about winning or losing the round, it should be about placing yourself in someone else's shoes and adapting to a new life. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The OOC purpose of a Head of Staff would be to act as an in game, IC admin of sorts. By that I mean regulating what the staff in your department are doing as well as help coach those who perhaps do not have the best hang of the job. Because Heads of Staff have a lot of power they need to use it wisely without heavily power gaming or they risk ruining the round for the antagonists. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: One of the responsibilities that whitelisted characters would have would be to ensure that the rules of the server and rules of the station are being followed within their own department. Another would be when people ask for job transfers I should be checking their background records and asking how they know how to be said job, ensuring that jobs that require higher knowledge of game mechanics be reserved for those who are good roleplayers. If someone is not very good at roleplaying, I don't think I would give them a job in security but instead perhaps start them out with a civilian job such as janitor. If someone says they read it in a book that would not be grounds for them getting the job. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Cirassi Johnson Character age: 63 Years Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Cirassi Shilahn was born on Qerrbalak to a clutch of about 36 eggs and was the first to hatch, therefore later on believing herself to be older and wiser than the rest of her siblings. She was constantly seeking to impress her parents with her skills in organization and her formal attire. While the rest of her siblings would be attempting to enjoy arts or sports, she would be trying to perfect her handwriting (which looks like it's nearly typed) or sorting her various class papers into each of their respective color-coded and numbered folders. She never really had many friends due to her OCD and constant criticism of her peers if anything they had was out of line, as such she was a rather lonely child though favored among her parents. Her talents landed her in a pencil pushing job of which she found herself right at home, paperwork was her thing and checking dates and time-stamps for valid work was as fun as anything she could be doing with friends. She went to college where she learned several skills useful in HR as well as leadership, though dealing with people was not always as easy as it sounded for her as she found anyone who didn't fit in with the norm to be a problem. In order to work with humans who were mocking her name and speech patterns, she attempted to adapt to their society more, changing her last name so it would show up better on their nametags as well as attempting to get as much help with her slur as she could, though it is still there it isn't as prevalent as it once was. She decided that Nanotrasen would be a good job to try and oversee Human Resources on because of the diverse staff which would be interesting to have to deal with. What do you like about this character?: One of my favorite things about this character is her attention to detail and her love of paperwork. Though the character sounds cliche, I asked around the server to see if anyone minded and my response was people actually wanted more HoP's to be doing paperwork so I thought that it'd be pretty fun. She sees paperwork as fun as Paper's Please in that she checks and double checks it so she won't receive any citations and ensures people have to have the proper background checks to get into the job that they are seeking to enter. What do you dislike about this character?: The biggest thing I dislike about my character is that if I were around her she'd hate me, I'm no neat freak so I find it fun to roleplay as one. I also dislike people with OCD, they get on my nerves with how they love to scrutinize everything you do but are sometimes hypocritical which Cirassi can be at times if she leaves her vegetarian food out on her desk when telling someone that it's a work hazard. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Cirassi's defining characteristic that makes her good for the position of Head of Personnel is her attention to detail as well as her love of paperwork and keeping thing neat and organized. She will go out of her way to ensure that her desk and everything around her is organized to maximum efficiency. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I find myself rather good at roleplay, from my experiences I've improved heavily from barely being able to reply more than a sentence or two. As people know if they are around Alexander, he can give long-winded responses on biology if you get him talking. I find roleplay should be a good mix of me's and say's to ensure that the character not only acts like they would but also speaks like they would. I love to give myself a challenge in roleplaying things that I myself would never do, this character being one such example. I'm a horrible slob IRL and I think it'd be fun to try and roleplay a neat-freak like Cirassi. I really never try and be a "special-snowflake" character so I usually make my characters rather stereotypical with a few minor changes so that they aren't some special case, I find it has become the norm to be super special with dramatic character backstories and appearances, so I generally try to think of something that would happen in real life. Extra notes:
  4. Alberyk is very good at roleplaying as I have been one who has personally been around Yinzr and seen most sides of the character to know that he isn't all about robusting antags but more about trying to deal with the situation the way it deals with him. For example, when I was a Vox aboard the station and there was a mess with the other Vox I attempted to try and get them out of it by talking to security, mainly Yinzr who didn't do anything to robust the antags and we worked things out through a conversation rather than shooting each other. The way you'll find Yinzr attacking antags depends on how the Antags are acting. If there's wizards running around spamming spells and shooting fireballs without any RP or talking, he's going to attempt to bring him down any means necessary but if the antag actually roleplays he'll roleplay along with them. That's why I feel that he would be good for taking on the role of an IPC because he is not just limited to one specific playstyle or character and I think he'd do great as another "race". Also note that we rarely have chaplains let alone ones who aren't running around the halls coloring on the floors so I think that if we got a good one it would be helpful.
  5. I support this application, not only does Zubari/Frank always know how to in the correct situations and how to handle them, but his RP is good we need good HoS's and with Frank's record of being on just about every day for a good period of time, we'd be able to most likely fill that slot well instead of having a security without a head, I don't see an HoS on all that often for the most part. +1
  6. If you wish me to not include the stereotype or not seeing you roleplay which is more of constructive criticism, I'll say that an Unathi miner is something more new than Unathi security, and I guess we don't have any "mob-boss" unathi either.
  7. It seems like the stereotype of Unathi being aggressive is being upheld once again here, not that it is a negative thing it's just from what I've seen to be done a lot. There's a whole bunch of Unathi on the station already to the point where their population is almost starting to rival the human population from what I've seen. I haven't really seen you roleplay before but I'll say that it seems like a reasonably solid application though I cannot give disapproval or approval.
  8. First thing I'd like to say is that the preview thing happened to me too on my Skrell app, it was really annoying. Anyways, I'd say that we always need more Dionaea on station and to have one with as strong a connection to nature as to be a botanist would of course be welcome to see as it would make sense. Whenever I see a Dionaea I think of the ents from Lord of the Rings in their slow personality and love of nature, which I see in this app. I'd say I'd give this app an encouragement, though I haven't specifically RPed with you, just seen you around.
  9. Oh you have no idea. I remember we had two "girls" erping in the slums so we decided to just spawn a shitton of headcrabs outside the room so if they tried to leave they'd get swarmed. When they did open the door they ran for the window and jumped out, the fall killed them and we charbanned them.
  10. Oh you have no idea. I've been an admin on various HL2RP servers for roughly three years now and I know how it goes. There's come a point where me and the others just physgun a guy up in the air and slam him down cause we don't care. HL2RP can be really good RP sometimes, but reaaaaaaally bad at others.
  11. BYOND Key: OneWingedMajora Character Names: Sia Vin'Drahl, Klaus Hoffman, Raelyn Vargas, And one round of a Vox named Guyman Baldhead or Kah Species you are applying to play: Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Teal/Light Blue Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: When I think of Skrell I think of a race of intellectuals who pride themselves on their technology and development. In that way my character is fascinated with the social, biological, and psychological differences of the other species in relation to his own. Skrell are also interesting to play due to their different stance of love, being that it is more out of nessessity rather than some sort of strong bond forming between the two partners. With the Skrell's intellect in mind I decided to make a character based upon the ideologies of Abathur from Starcraft 2 and Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen in that they seem to view everything as a big picture of biology, social structures, and psychology driven by biology. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The main biological differences between skrell and humans is that skrell have low sexual dimorphism and complete gender equality. They also are able to breath underwater as well as prefer soft foods and do not eat meat due to their digestive system. Skrell also do not make as much facial expression with their eyes due to a black layering that allows their eyes to see underwater. Another difference would be their skin as it is more slimy and slightly translucent compared to other species. The headtails of the skrell also make it so that most headgear is uncomfortable unless specifically designed for headtails. Character Name: Alexander Simmons Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Alexander Simmons was raised by his father in a wealthy lifestyle due to his mother dying later after the childbirth due to illness. His father was a rather influential figure in genetics and biology as well as a firm believer on evolutionary principles which he in turn taught to his son from an early age. Alexander grew up believing that everything was based on the basis of evolution, psychology, culture, and biology based on traits being passed from generation to generation and selective breeding. This view was carried on to adulthood in which he followed after his father's footsteps after he passed away, not only becoming proficient in genetics, but also anatomy, psychology, and Xenobiology. With these different skills in hand he wished to leave for a career in a place where he would be able to further study the other species he had learned about so much from his father and his works. He chose the human name Alexander as it allowed for an easier pronunciation than his Skrellian name as well as choosing a name of which he believed seemed to signify intellect. Gaining a job aboard Nanotrasen research stations as a way to not only earn money to sustain himself and research, but also to study the various crewmembers around him. Alexander has also done modeling work for WetSkrell.nt as a way to earn additional profit as well as study the sorts of people who view the material due to his interest biological stimulants, it's a win-win for him. Because of his job in the modeling industry and his belief that the strongest traits should be passed on, Alexander attempts to keep his body in a fit physical form as much as possible, considering that to humans muscle density is attractive due to the fact that the human mate would be able to most likely defend a child better or pass on stronger genes, though he doesn't understand how humans find him attractive as they have nowhere close to similar reproductive systems... he'll probably study that later. Though he likes to keep himself fit, at the same time he has a large distaste for violence, finding it primitive. Alexander is rather cold on the exterior, seeming to be the one who is silently judging your personality, likes, dislikes, and relating them to your species and biological traits to see what sort of patterns form that he can use in his research. What do you like about this character? The best part about the character is that he views everything as a result of biological factors. One example of his thinking is that maternal traits are a biological way of ensuring that the offspring of the species is protected so that it can mature and continue the species, maternal instinct setting off stimulie in the brain which in turn causes a pleasant feeling when being around one's child. Alexander also constantly observes those around him and studies them trying to make theories on why people do certain things and how it affects others around them. Because of this people tend to dislike him at times as he is willing to point out potential flaws as merely a scientific observation when in fact it may be offensive to the one he points it out to. An example would be if he points out that obesity in humans is a feature that detracts from the overall attractiveness of the individual, thus lessening their chances of reproducing and thereby safeguarding the gene-pool of the species from any traits that would cause obesity as it is a negative trait of the species. This would likely upset the person who is obese, but it would not be his intention, merely an observation... of course he would then study why the person got upset from his response. Perhaps speaking of obesity as a negative trait evokes a negative response because it points out a defect that will not allow the obese person to be able to feel the stimulant of reproduction and thus results in aggravation. Because of his view on the world, Alexander is often a very cold, calculating person that appears to have lost touch with social normality. He dislikes debates over ethics as he sees that it is not his problem and that it only impedes research in certain fields, though it all comes down to who is higher up on the social ladder to create the rules and for him to follow them so long as they allow the continuation of his work. Alexander is an atheist, believing that those who believe in their own gods are constricting themselves to a moral code that can impede evolution, though at the same time he does find that it allows for order and society to flourish that there be order. He also views humanity's oversexualization as a negative trait in the species, stating that due to the increased sexual drive there is less planning put into the creation of offspring, often resulting in them being created in environments that limit its potential and therefore the potential of the human race. As such he finds it entertaining to exploit such drives by modeling for WetSkrell.nt as a way to make money and study humanity. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I would rate my roleplay as rather well in that my prime focus is that of developing a character rather than just trying to win the game (examples would be being afraid of an antagonist, not running up and bashing it with a crowbar). I find that roleplaying a well-designed character is entertaining in that you get to play as something you would never be able to do in the real work. My example here is trying to roleplay someone who is rather detached from his humanity (or rather skrellmanity) and views everything in patterns between species trying to make sense of it all. Notes: I spent two hours on the first draft only for the forums to automatically log me out and destroy all my progress because I wanted to preview it. Also here is a picture of what Alexander looks like: http://i.imgur.com/oZzWRZ2.jpg
  12. The sequel will be Zootopia: Furry Road and it will take place in a post-apocalyptic car oriented chase movie where all the Five Nights at Freddy's characters have to be escorted away from Sweet-tooth and his FurBoys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqQjrSWB84c
  13. Ironic thing is most likely that because of the whole female property thing, I wouldn't find it too uncommon for an Unathi male to have multiple. I'm not one for OOC drama, but I guess if it's going to come with IC drama I can handle it without it getting blown out of proportion or taking up too much time. People who have met Sia before are rather surprised she is a Vin'Drahl being that she's more of an introvert. Also you don't need to worry about her being security at all, not only is she bad at it but Attimus is too overprotective to allow her to be in it. I was just worried I'd get OOC hate just for the name and now how I roleplay the character. And as for the higher expectations, I believe I can deal with them, and it'd also be part of the theme that she has going for her.
  14. My goal is always attempt to roleplay things that are usually not roleplayed, and that is the case for Sia. I agree that there are more angry Unathi men than shy, passive, Unathi female regarded as property. That was my goal even before Attimus met her and technically bought her back on Unbound, which adds to the whole reason I created her. I made her because I saw few Unathi females roleplaying this side of their culture, the ones I had seen just acted normal or aggressive like all other Unathi. She's no Mary Sue, I'm awful at combat in this game and so is Sia. Sia isn't always happy to be around Attimus sometimes, being that he is always getting in trouble, always being overprotective of her, and being unhappy sometimes, but she has to because he is her owner due to Unathi culture. I think a lot of the people were worried I'd be going around and beating up people just because I'm a Vin'Drahl, but that's not what the character is about.
  15. One of the main reasons you probobly didn't remember Sia that much is because she never really did anything to act out. She doesn't have some sort of bombastic personality, she's a pretty shy and secluded Unathi who doesn't try to cause trouble. An example of Sia outside of her comfort zone was most likely when Kaed lied to her as an antag in an attempt to get her to kill someone. Sia is not really good at the whole murdering thing and even though she was pissed at the person she was going to kill, she couldn't bring herself to kill anyone. She just sat outside the room the person was held in and started crying with the knife she was supposed to kill with lying on the floor beside her. That's one of the main ways I remember her out of her comfort zone, she get shaken up from that for a while not wanting to talk to others as much. That's more of a large example of her out of her comfort zone, when it comes to interacting with other crew she tries not to talk as much with others. She stutters a bit when she talks to new people, and when people make fun of her for her speech or elongated S's, she just walks away most of the time. She attempts to minimize her time with people she's not used, typically attempting to be around others of her own species because then she'd have something to relate to. I can't think of any specific examples of this. Main reason I felt like roleplaying Sia is that from other servers I have seen, many of the female Unathi don't seem to show the typical Moghean female in that she is regarded as property with a lot of sexism going on. Sia was born into that culture and has to live with it, which is what I want to show. I know he does get into drama and such, but Sia's main goal is to try and not get him in trouble by trying to calm him down. If there is any drama surrounding him, Sia rarely attempts to get herself involved in it.
  16. Since it appears I may be moving over here might as well show off art that I have created over the past year or so showing off some roleplay art as well as different drawings I've made for different people. I draw black and white and I'm also aweful at drawing humans for the most part without reference. I like drawing other species as it allows me to take whatever liberties I want when taking a different species sprite into an image as there is not a real Tajaran, Unathi, Skrell, etc. that I can base it on. Here's a few examples from different roleplay gamemodes. I'll post the links as it appears whenever I direct img on the forums my pictures are huge. I use references for most of my pictures, though I never trace as I find looking at soemthing and drawing it more fun. SS13 WoWRP HL2RP Majora's Mask stuff A One Winged Majora
  17. One of the main parts of Sia's character is that she is the contrast to Attimus. Opposites attract is an old phrase I would put into use here. When you mentioned that she is less likely to join in on the ruckus he causes, it is completely true to the point where she is always the one trying to stop him getting in trouble and scolding him for doing so most of the time. The main reason I wanted to take down the app was because I didn't want to join the server and instantly be hated due to a surname and OOC/IC rivalries. The fact that someone mentioned a mistress may cause drama is correct, and I hate any kind of drama, In character or out of character I find it annoying most of the time. If my presence is going to cause drama then I don't want to be there and I'd much rather apply for a different species such as Skrell, being that most of the time I like to play underplayed species in an effort to boost their popularity and learn new biology and culture for each. Edit: Also the OP is a him, I don't go out of my way to lie about my gender, I just like to play either gender so sometimes people get confused.
  18. It seems as if a majority of the playerbase would not like for me to add another Vin'Drahl to the server due to drama. As a result I think I'll cancel my application so that I don't upset others who would not enjoy the addition. I thought it would be fine to test player reaction to my application, of which is overall negative due to the association with Attimus and distrust of someone they haven't had to have the chance to roleplay with, which is understandable. Hopefully my failed application will not affect your reaction to any of my characters in-game. Sorry to have caused an issue.
  19. First thing I want to say is that I'm always open to constructive criticism in anything I do, being that I don't get offended much and I am always seeking to better myself in terms of roleplay, I've been doing so for roughly four years. I've improved a lot since then thanks to others helping guide me to improve my overall roleplay quality. That being said, it's fine if you guys are worried about the Vin'Drahl part, if you wish for me not to create this character based solely on the part that she is a Vin'Drahl go ahead and put a -1 with no guilt in it as I won't make the character if no one wants me to. The reason why I tend to shy away from human characters a lot is just an odd preference I have in that I tend to find the differences in biology and culture to be interesting to have to adapt my style around, rather than resort to a biology and culture I am all too familiar with. I have roleplayed as a Vortigaunt, Draenei, Kidan (Paradise and Unbound insectoid race), Tajaran, Unathi, Skrell, Orc Peon, and Worgen. Of those I would say roleplaying as an unintellegent Orc with a big heart was fun as well as an insectoid race in that I only emote with my Antennae being that I had no mouth to smile with, eyes that show expression, or changing facial features due to having a solid exoskeleton. I can Roleplay perfectly fine as a human, I do so on many other servers, though if you wish to see my roleplay style I must say I'm rather adaptive and I don't have my own defined style of roleplay. As for an interesting story I have had with Sia was most likely the ironic way that her and Attimus met. Attimus challenged her to a fight as he usually does for sport, and Sia barely knowing what to do after watching only her brothers fight and attempting to copy what they did with no practice horribly lost the battle, only getting about maybe two good claw swipes on Attimus the whole battle. The result was a Sia screaming and crying as she lied on the floor with Attimus felt pretty bad in that he didn't hold back enough. He then dragged her to the medbay where she spent the next hour and a half going through surgery, rehab, and recovery. Attimus never really left her bed side as he felt pretty bad he beat her to a pulp, constantly apologizing. Sia blamed herself in that she should have told him she was not good at fighting or that she should have told him to stop. Sia can't hold grudges well and was constantly trying to tell Attimus it was okay, even though he kept apologizing. Sia spent the next week getting checkups and having to wear a cast on her leg, because of this Attimus would follow her around and do everything for her because he had caused her injury, getting doors for her or picking up painkillers due to the pain of her broken leg. Sia had to lie to her father that it was a work related accident, that she had slipped on some sort of clown bannana while cleaning up or he would have set out to kill Attimus for harming, let alone touching his daughter. As a final note if you really want me to RP a human for a month that's fine, I just wanted to see if I would be allowed to roleplay a character I have already established instead of create a new one. I'd just like to ask what type of human character, such as personality-wise, you'd wish for me to create as it is most likely going to be used for you to judge my roleplaying abilities. Edit: As a side not if you are worried that I roleplay the female stereotype of homosexuality, I'll inform you that due to negetive experiences and the fact that it shows a lack of creativity I always make my characters heterosexual regardless of gender in order to try and avoid such stereotypes, as I play both genders.
  20. I have not played any characters, the reason being is that I rarely prefer to play humans, it carries over to a lot of different types of roleplay games I play including HL2RP and WoWRP where is I find that playing as the human is not as interesting as another species being that I myself am a human. That being said if you wish to judge my roleplay abilities for yourself I can play a human and I can still enjoy doing so.
  21. BYOND Key: OneWingedMajora Character Names: Sia Vin'Drahl Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Light Red Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: One of the main reasons I wish to play Unathi is that they are quite different from humans, especially being that most come from a strict society of honor based laws due to their wasteland of a planet for the most part. Playing an Unathi means you get to not only be a bit more on the primitive side, but also in general Unathi are more aggressive and serious. Due to the fact that my Unathi she will have been raised in a more passive setting as she was seen more as a valuable possession. Because of this and the overprotective nature of her upbringing, she was not allowed to learn or do several skills thus meaning she was only able to do basic tasks such as janitorial work, cooking (mostly meat-based of course), botany (Though she only knows enough to make seasonings for meat based off various plants), bar-tending and such. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: One of the main differences is the cultural difference between humans and Unathi. They find it more dishonorable to fight with ranged weapons, preferring melee as well as being a bit more honor-bound when it comes to combat. It isn't polite to use an Unathi's name unless you have gained their trust and touching is only allowed to those who are introduced. Unathi also have a wider range of emotional expressions, such as rattling the scales on the back of the neck for danger, thumping the tail on the floor for distress, chuffing, and baring the throat to show trust. They are well adapted to the heat due to their desert planet, but are not so well adapted to the cold. Also different from human is the way that the females are treated in that males must pay tribute to the female's owner in order to gain her. Character Name:Sia Vin'Drahl Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Sia Sisin'dre was born on Moghes and raised in Moghean household in the wasteland around a small oasis of water pumped from the ground. She was raised mostly with domestic chores around the house to keep her busy as well as cooking for her family and three brothers. Because the family needed to ensure that their old technology pump kept running they needed to have enough to purchase repairs now and again, thus sending Sia to Nanotrasen to have her hired aboard as a janitor, a job Sia took to easily and it allowed her to see more of the world outside of Moghes. She was able to learn to read and write due to her job's requirements and found that many other jobs that required manual labor could use her talents just as well. From there she met Attimus VinDrahl who sought to win her over by going to her father and ensuring the pump was fixed for the rest of the family. Sia was then given to Attimus for him to take care of her, thus changing her clan name from Sisin'dre to Vin'Drahl. Sia still continues to work aboard various NanoTrasen vessels in an attempt to rake in more money for her new family, though still for the most part clinging to old Unathi culture and tradition. Sia is now currently attempting to fit in with the rest of the new world she has to explore, no longer as strictly bound to her culture as she was on Moghes. What do you like about this character? Sia is an attempt at showing the other side of the Unathi, being that most consider them aggressive. Because Sia is more of a passive Unathi she gets to be seen as a contrast between the male and female Unathi based on their society. Not only that but she's also rather calm for the most part, rarely getting distressed and even more rarely wishing to cause harm to others. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I would say that my RP overall is of a pretty high quality. I always attempt to throw in /me's and I am not one to rush into combat (mostly because neither Sia nor myself is good at it). I'm sure there are others who would agree that I am good also if they have seen me before, being that I usually like to play a variety of different species and characters on various different servers. Another thing is that at all times I attempt to separate myself from my character, meaning I do not get upset over my own character's death and I try to look at things from their perspective. A good test of this would be to think how your character would react to meeting yourself. If one puts too much of themselves into a character, then they could risk getting upset over things happening to their character as well as be offended OOCly if you insult them ICly. I have known many people that ICly dislike my character that I can be friendly with OOCly. Notes: A quick little drawing: http://i.imgur.com/PDtAoYF.jpg
