I haven't been on the server since the new year, but I'm back now, and playing the same character. I don't know if I'm going to remain active, but if this is accepted I will make the effort to stick around. Besides, if I decide to vanish again, I can always bump the thread again and let the devs know not to bother.

So, after having discovered that you can dye items in the washing machine, I am still somehow disappointed that I can't dye my insulated gloves black. This request is pretty much what it says in the topic subject: Give us black and white crayons, the ability to dye jumpsuits the remaining colors as seen in the code/graphic set by mixing crayons in the wash, and then maybe if possible add a few more variations/recolors of objects like the priest robes, work boots, flower pin, beret, and waistcoat? OR, instead of adding crayons, add code so that certain other objects can be stuck in the wash to dye things the other colors... like cans of soda or food items. Space Cola for a brown jumpsuit, perhaps? Because being fashionable is important, especially when your character is an established community member and you'd like to stand out from the crowd so you can be easily identified by sight alone.

+1 to this application, because although Anja is robotic as fuck as security, they can be either one of the better or worse security guards in a variety of different scenarios, which makes RP interesting. And also because Callabaddie is rude and horrible.
-
I'm here to both confirm all of this, as I had been ghosted the majority of this round and was paying very careful attention to security officer characters, and while I don't personally agree with everything Anja does and think they're a bit too robotic feeling, at least they're not someone who shoots at a fellow security officer while in the middle of detaining someone, then moving to detain the same person, bring them to brig, ICly explaining to the prisoner that they shot the other security officer because "they didn't like them" and then immediately letting that prisoner go. Like Samantha Curnow did.

LMAO. You shit talk someone in OOC, I tell that person to disregard you, and then you accuse me of having some sort of vendetta against you based on ONE interaction where you got SO MAD at me you tried invalidating my opinions completely. Then, after I start to ignore your nonsense:

I wouldn't worry too much about these Mary Sue tests, especially since they're really meant for characters in single author stories rather than community-run role playing experiences. Any character, so long as they don't have the standard mary sue tropes of a supertragic background, otherworldly appearances, or a total lack of player represented flaws... is able to work well in this kind of setting. Other players, characters, and the game itself will force you to RP situations you wouldn't necessarily wish upon your character, and they'll discover their own relationships with those other characters, as opposed to having them hand picked.

11/29/15 - Player Complaint - Ffrances & Halorocks

But this is exactly the type of behavior which will scare off new visitors to the server who came here explicitly because it said "Heavy RP" and not "Low-Medium RP." These "light-hearted shenanigans" revolving around what are supposed to be 500 year old memes and video games people haven't played in multiple generations are immersion breaking, to begin with, and quickly become flat out annoying and round-ruiners over time. I'm not saying, personally, that all characters should act the way I like. There ARE people on this server who do think that we should be targeting characters with dyed hair, or for being a Tajaran, and I get the impression some target characters for simply being people they OOCly wouldn't make friends with IRL. This ISN'T that. This is about maintaining the heavy RP character of this server and the immersion that should be expected of it. -

... Why the everloving fuck is your name purple? And why would you just make your character name 'halo?' Jesus christ. -

Adding to this: Another round we just had, Halo and some others were playing syndicate nuke ops, decided to announce themselves like Klingons entering a bar, outright saying "We're syndicate, sup." over general communications, and then generally memespouting all throughout the round. Here's some pictures: http://puu.sh/lDRRN/41aa3586c5.png http://puu.sh/lDRUo/d7c14fd8e4.png I wish I had more, but I honestly just left to watch RedLetterMedia pretty early in the round, after I noticed what was going on. -
Well, I'm the player who was playing Frankie Zitzmann, the scared engineering apprentice who was headed down to break room to check the power and cameras, and noticed your xeno setting up. Reasonably scared, he immediately reported the unknown alien entity to security, and when you came at the window and started bashing it, he ran off in order to avoid being killed. This was all, appropriately, communicated over the comms system to the security officer, who came down and engaged. So, 'never a threat' simply isn't true from an IC standpoint. However, although I might agree with Aldabert's actions ICly at THAT point, I can't help but understand your position. A security officer who is fine with the superiors he doesn't like being transformed, and who insists that people 'stomp on him' should they see him... well, I don't think I need to say any more.

BYOND Key: PunkDMD Character name: Frankie Zitzmann (Slot one. I have doubles of this character to easily set up for my second favorite job, Bartender. Obviously, he wouldn't be bringing his tool belt to work if he was working bar, right?) Item name: Punker's Toolbelt Why is your character carrying said item to work? It's a toolbelt. More importantly, for Frankie, it's a fashionable toolbelt. He's a delinquent and a narcissist fashionista, who obsesses over himself in the mirror, and one of the few people in the universe who remembers the rebel tradition of sticking lots of little pieces of metal and handmade patches sewn on with dental floss onto everything they can manage. ICly, it could be used as a reason to discriminate against him, and I think it really gives off a clear image of his personality at a glance. Item function(s): Toolbelt. Holds tools. Plus a flask? Item description: A sturdy, worn out black leather tool belt, held together by handmade, unintelligable black canvas patches, dental floss, and pyramid studs. Has a spot for attaching a flask. Item appearance: Modify the tool belt sprite to be black, and look a little bit more worn out and dirty. Perhaps add some silver studs/spots for effect? Additional comments: None! I hope this is acceptable, and I've pushed Frankie enough for it to work!~

I, personally, was well aware. I just thought it'd be fun to share unusual mixes, even if they don't have a custom name/sprite. They do still get you drunk, and can be roleplayed out, after all!

Frankie's Favorites Everyone's (least) favorite lazy delinquent Engineering Assistant is always sipping from a flask filled with god knows what, and here's what god knows: Wirecutter - Shot and a half of Absinthe, a splash of Blue Curacao, a spritz of lime juice, and half a can of thirteen loko. Tijuana Water - A shot of khalua, a shot of tequila, a spritz of lime juice, fill with tonic water.

No. Nobody was ready for that many Walters. It was a blast of a round, though, probably one of the most fun I've had. Did lots of work, a lot of roleplaying, and the action seemed to come out of nowhere, which was a blast. Just all of a sudden, I was a Walter. I hope whoever was the unlucky, limbless, Geneticist I attack isn't too mad at me? I didn't get to talk to them after the round ended.
