Fortport Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Give players options for allergies in their loadout. These allergies could range from mild to severe reactions, with exposure potentially being lethal. This could lead to particularly interesting ways of killing someone as a traitor or adding another layer to medicine. Add something like Benedryl or other medicine to stop allergies and help reverse side-effects. The medicine can be combined with things they're even allergic to to prevent a reaction so long as it remains in their system. Chemicals, food, medicines, pretty much anything you want to add to the list. These could go into their exploitable information tab by default, or optionally.
LordPwner Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Yeah because then needing prescriptions would actually mean something and give chems more stuff to do. More chances for RP are a +1 in my book Edit: Also will force characters to eat certain foods and take certain actions
SatinsPristOTD Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Epipens with epinephrin. Reverses the "closed windpipe/severe hives/ symptom of many allergies. Make allergies give oxy damage if they're labeled severe due to *see above*. Hives could be added and treated with ointment. Itchiness, sneezing etc etc could be treated with benadryl. Epinephrin drug would be added to chemistry. Fexofenadine would be a better drug than Diphenhydramine at work because Fex doesn't cause much drowsiness. This would be added as well.
Conspiir Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 I have a character with allergies. It's not as bad as it sounds, not having it be a mechanical feature. It's a bit more work, but people are often willing to indulge. I think it would be amazing to have epipens and actual mechanical side effects be a thing.
