Personality

Why do you play SS13?:I play SS13 since one of my chief loves, is Astronomy, couple that with my hobby of rping and we're golden, and that's what SS13 does, put me in a Spatial environment, which I enjoy. Plus it's good to play a character.

Why do you play on Aurora?:Mainly because it was the only option, however now, I like the community and the fact Rp is a strong point here. Of course this server does have unique aspects that make it desirable, such as nice organized and standardized lore, that is unique from the trash Bay wrote.

What do moderators do?:Moderators help the community, Answer ahelps, help enforce our rules, as well as stopping grief.

What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?:

Why do you want to be a moderator?:I want to be a Moderator because I want to help, From my time here I have seen the Mods deal with baldies and such, And all I do is crack a couple of Xenophobic jokes in the OOC, However I wish to help instead of that.

What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?:Patience, Generally don't get too pissed, Unbiased (of course this is all based on my opinion of myself, which is arrogant, truely it is what other people see that judges a man.)

How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?:I'd say I handle them well, then again I am quite desensitized towards hurtful things due to me and my buds generally being shitty to each other for fun. I understand dealing with stress, and I know it can be tough.

Image is important. You actually can't get away with (many) offensive jokes as a mod anymore. (There... were staff that did that, and were given the boot for it).

So, I'm going to be talking a bit about image. I think you're a good roleplayer, and most people will agree that your characters are interesting and present good depth and contrast. However, what you're presenting here is an app to become a 15-year old moderator with irl fascist tendancies. (I don't remember exactly what your political affiliation was so apologies if I didn't explain it correctly).

And this doesn't... look good. Like the fact that your actions both OOC and IC are tainted with that small bit of fascist pride - you haven't gone out of your way to offend anyone on purpose, and I honestly do not mind it that much as a player, but as a mod that's a completely different game.

I trust you understand that, given you've actually mentioned your OOC conduct and how you were planning to modify it. But that is something you will have to do before becoming a mod, and truth is, a reputation like that can be really hard to get rid of.

I used to be a huge troll. I'd actually lurk on forums and post exclusively to fuck with people. Because it was funny, because I hated the mods in some places, and because there was this "social" aspect of basically being a community's Robin Hood. But in full honesty, most people probably just thought I was a cunt, and I was never given any credit for my posting (though it was fun).

I'm obviously not interested in fucking around on Aurora. And I did end up becoming headmin of the server for a bit, because I was able to convey I was interested in supporting and improving the community. But it was a lot easier because I never did any of the stupid shit on here I would've done in other places.

For you, I don't know. A precedent is much harder to get rid of once it's been established. And I apologize if this seems harsh, because my intent is purely to look at facts and situations here. I'm not judging you personally. I don't really have a positive or negative opinion of you, your personality, or your values. But you do aknowledge your reputation might be problematic to your desire to become a mod, and I follow up by confirming that I 100% think it would be. I guess the question would be, could you realistically dissociate yourself from that in this community? Is it a trouble you believe is worth going through to become a mod?

Of course, I'm just some gal posting on a forum now. If the current staff decides to be more welcoming and trusting than me, and give you a chance right off, then all the better for you. But I wouldn't expect it to happen soon.

Of course you're a good RPer. It's comparable to people hating the Joffrey's character because the actor is so damn good. If I don't like you, I cannot say I have any valid reason to shit on you. My only real complaint is that you take head roles and go either go AFK or disconnect a lot. It makes co-command with you annoying at best.

As for your faschist tendencies, I'll let you know I had a similar mindset once, also while I was around 15. It's a mindset that comes from impatience and makes us think that good things can be forced on people, without their conscent. It doesn't work that way, as history has proven multiple times. But then again, it is written by the victors, so what would I know.

How does this tie into the app? Well, makes me think that you would try to implement ideas by force and without permission, which would make you headbutt with other staff. If not, you would get increasingly frustrated at how the system works. Maybe that goes with every politician, all of them start with good intentions and idealism, but get crushed by reality.

This is my not so objective opinion, so you're always free to ignore it.
