Conspiir Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 We removed overhydration because it limited and punished bar rp. I'd like to ask the same of overnutrition now. I know the arguments against doing this: You actually feel sick if you overeat so it should be punished, the limitation for overhydrating in real life is much higher than overeating, etc. Please hear me out. It's all I have. Different people get full with different amounts of food. My father can put away much more food than my mother. The nutrition system we have is arbitrary; it simply cuts you off when it hits full. Most people are A-Okay with that and won't even reach that point--they're happy when the yellow goes away. But once you've hit "You're fat son" territory, what stops an Unathi from eating... even more than a human male would? Your RP is limited by the cap put on nutrition. It's up to the player how much a character eats and what they eat. That being said, I'm not saying remove chubbiness or the consequences that come with it. Only that a person should eat as much as they want and roleplay the consequences accordingly without having to wait a few seconds for nutrition to drop to eat the last bite of that pizza.
BurgerBB Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Overnutrition was implemented before thirst/hunger changes, and was likely implemented because people would completely ignore hunger penalties by just consuming everything in sight. A better idea would to be increase the amount of nutrition someone could consume much like I did with hydration.

If we match the nutrition with how hydration is (i.e. being able to drink as much as we'd like) that's fine. If someone is going to clear a counter, it's going to get cleared. The chubbiness and getting fat and slow is fine, that's great, I like that. But not being able to force any more food down is bad, I don't like that, I've only eaten four slices of pizza.
