BYOND Key: Sharkguy37 Total Ban Length: Permant Banning staff member's Key: alberyk Reason of Ban: Being named: Deus Vult Mori. After being spoken A LOT of tiems about the naming rule. Reason for Appeal: So i wanted to make a new chaplain character and since it was going to be christian i wanted to make his name latin and named him Deus vult mori.
This isn't a reference to anything that i know of its just latin for God Wills Death which is just a cheeky little secret if you bother to translate it. On the surface it just seems like plain latin, so I was suprised by me being permantly banned for this. I am aware that i had broken naming rules before but I didn't think that this was against the rules since it wasn't a famous person, reference, or anything. It was just a latin name.

However to be honest i doubt this will even be approved since the head admin issued the ban but still im atleast hoping to get a reduction from permant ban to something else.

You have around seven notes just about the name rule. Coupled with other stuff.

The name rule is the following:

Spoiler

Characters must be named following a Firstname Lastname model (e.g. "John Smith"). No honorifics, nicknames or middle names (with exceptions for compound names such as Van/Von/Bin X). Think of your in-game name as the name printed on your work ID. Exceptions are made to alien races with alternate naming mechanics, such as the Diona or IPCs, please consult their specific wiki pages for exact details. In general, avoid reference/famous/joke names, please.

Being named deus vult moris is an obvious reference/joke, on the top of being three names in theory. So, taking in consideration that you either do not understand or care to follow the rules, why should I give you a another chance after two permabans here?
