Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 When people have casual conversations on the public radio they tend to get scolded or whatever. The channel is mostly used to like, announce stuff. Just giving it that renaming can gently nudge people to treat it as that kind of medium and hopefully this small nudge encourages more use of alternate modes of communication.
MattAtlas Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 I'm not sure how this would fix the problem.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 It's a small aspect of cultivating a wider culture. It's not a fix in itself any more than one prong makes a fork.
Meep Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 It's a shame people don't use private radio channels more. Me and a friend when mining together would take a 2nd headset tuned to another radio channel and use it to avoid spamming up :u. Using the 2nd headset was as easy as typing :r (for the right headset)
Carver Posted February 2, 2020 Posted February 2, 2020 I'd almost consider arguing for the removal of non-bounced radios as a whole, but that argument's been made before. 3 hours ago, Meep said: It's a shame people don't use private radio channels more. The 'forgetting it exists' is usually more the common reason though, since the PDA surprisingly tends to have even less privacy due to the AI 'got ur message' RNG shit.
