SierraKomodo
Ckey/BYOND Username: SierraKomodo Position Being Applied For: Coder Past Experiences/Knowledge: Self trained in HTML, PHP, CSS, SQL. i've worked with web hosting providers, run my own websites, and I'm currently a web programmer for a tax efile company, which makes use of all four of these languages. Examples of Past Work: The magical image in my signature that changes, and goes to different websites when clicked on based the image you saw is something I put together using PHP. Try it out: http://bts.sierrabrown.me/gaming-signature.png/ is the image, http://bts.sierrabrown.me/gaming-signature.png/?link is the URL that goes to a certain site based on what image it displayed. There's also this I was working on, but havent been able to finish because of work (It's written in mSL): https://www.dropbox.com/sh/io9lgam44p3r5rh/AADTgHwbfYHcGeV_DvXRclR_a?dl=0 There's other things I've worked on, but I can't share them because they're for work :< Preferred Mode of Communication: AIM, Steam, Skype, in that order Additional Comments: I'll have some limited time for working on things up until around April 15th, when tax season ends and work will quiet down. After that, I'll have more time to work on things, and to learn DM. Link to comment
Skull132
Alright, basically we have two options for you, on what you wish to do. We'll have a task or four for developing a website (the one that you heard me fumble with for a week, some time ago), or you can learn and adjust to DM, running projects there (perfectly understandable, should you want something different from what you do at work). So, those are the two options. As for the time frame, that'll be your dictation as well. So basically, figure out out the questions of "What" and "When", and we can proceed from there. If you wish to learn DM, I can either see if anyone's interested in tagging along with you from the dev staff, or set up tasks and explanations with you myself. Link to comment

Learning DM was my plan, it's just a matter of whether or not I'll actually have time to focus on learning it until the end of the tax season. I admit I haven't actually taken a look at it yet; For all I know it's relatively simple and I just need to learn the syntax. Do you guys need the web development or someone to learn DM more? SierraKomodo
Also, I completely forgot to mention, I currently have 0 experience with github or anything similar. Nobody I've worked with/for has used it, and I never saw a need for it for my personal stuff Link to comment

Crescentise
Bumping and supporting because Sierra's credentials look pretty impressive, and they have contributed an insanely useful and popular character record-making tool for the community. +1 Link to comment

Guest
Unfortunately Sierra isn't playing much ss13 anymore and told me they would be leaving. However they did do a lot of coding work for us before leaving, technically they were a coder. Link to comment
