Medical Waste

"Oh no, not this guy again."

So, part 2 of my medical suggestions. :) Some more integration for medical waste handling.

1) Clinical Waste Bin(s)

Could either replace the existing sharps box as a pickup able container like a box, in either yellow or orange. (I simply coloured the others for the sake of showing the options :) ), or as a variation of the existing Bin/Secure Bin. I was inspired by (Discord: a human, apparently - Sorry, I'm bad with names.) who has used secure bins in the OR's on their revamp.

Based on the below colour coding example commonly used in reality:

Alternatively, scrolling through Discord that I missed overnight, the trash carts find on arrivals could easily be re-sprited to serve the same purpose within the same colour coding.

2) Clinical Waste Bags

Can work hand in hand with the above. Simply a resprite of the janitors bags in clinical waste colours (Orange in this case, but could do the other variations commonly used. Yellow, and Yellow with Black stripes.)

A slightly nicer way for our colleagues to be able to carry amputated body parts, dead organs, blood stained clothing to the laundry, etc.

As ever, I would really appreciate feedback so I can improve/adjust to meet the servers views. :) Thanks for reading.

Clarification of my intended suggestion

I think it's neat, however, while I understand the colour differences myself, I'm not sure there's actually enough "waste" types to warrant having several different colour disposal bins, so it may just confuse a lot of people. Yellow for sharps, certainly, but we don't exactly offer things like chemotherapy on the Aurora, so purple for cytotoxic for instance is a bit redundant, and doctors don't really throw out unused medication either. Nor do we really make much use of radioactive substances, so red would also be unecessary (unless it was tucked in chemistry or something as a place to dispose of radium? idk).

The redesigned sharps container though, spectacular, I think it could replace the red box no issue. Blue for general non-hazardous medical waste could also be fine. Also the orange clinical waste bag is fantastic and good, it'd be worth maybe adding the orange bin to place the bags in.

Apologies. I’m not necessarily suggesting full implementation of all of them. I just drew them for the visual aid.

My suggestion is just yellow and/or orange. :)

Yellow and blue look rather nice. Not a fan of the red, as it seems a bit 'glowing' in how bright the red is. Trash bag is neat as well.
