NerdyVampire Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 The suggestion is merely to add a machine in the medical cryogenics room (or where it otherwise makes sense, research mby) which can be sabotaged to disable the suit monitoring system. This will of course require that it can also be repaired as well. Discuss ?
Faye <3 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Suit sensors already go down along with tcomms.
NerdyVampire Posted January 6, 2021 Author Posted January 6, 2021 Just now, Faye <3 said: Suit sensors already go down along with tcomms. It does? So you cannot disable one without the other?
Faye <3 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 I do not know much behind the back-end of tcomms and other aurora communications stuff but I do know that suit sensors have went down w/t comms before. Someone who plays antagonist regularly would probably know more, but I do know that suit sensors can and will go down.

Hm, well I still think there is merit to separating them so it can be targeted directly. Then again, I recognize that the number of antags that will make use of this may be small, so its likely not a development priority, especially if it has to be untangled from tcomms.

Less taking out Tcomms in general and more taking down the NTNet server takes it down along with all other console based things. I do believe

I do believe Exactly right. Therefore the server you request already exists. It is part of T-comms servers. However, the issue there is that sabotaging T-comms to disable only suit sensors is complicated if you want to keep comms running in order for it to not be discovered. What I would recommend for antags is possible add some sort of suit sensor jammer, or add suit sensor jamming to the existing jammer objects.
