Gr33d Posted October 23, 2021 Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) BYOND key: Gr33dy Character names: Jati Hunt, Mend Bloodshed In The Inky Cosmos, Zeta AI, Za'Akaix'Rug Zo'ra, Ra'Akaix'Gro Zo'ra, Ka'Akaix'Jar C'thur, a few other bug, plant, and human. How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Not to sure, I think around July of this year is when I really started getting into it and have played almost every day since Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?: When I first started I logged out without going to cryo as I did not know it was a thing at the time, after I got the warning I have gone to cryo each and every time. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I believe that first and foremost it is to give direction to those in the department you are the head of as well as be someone who is able and willing to assist those who are new to RP or new to the server/game and its mechanics. If, for instance, someone is new and starts as an assistant it should fall on the head of personal (if the time is right) to help them find something to do. They should be the back bone of a department and someone people can ask when they have questions about the job or what they should be doing. It is also to make the game more fun for those in the department via boosting moral with events or taking a group out for a training exercise, giving people a pat on the back when they do something good can go a long way. On top of all that however, they are also able to keep people organized when things go wrong, people can be freaking out over the station catching on fire, but will usually calm down a bit when you tell people to simply follow you to the red dock. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: As I said above, I feel the most important responsibility is to give direction and assist new players to feel welcome and like they are learning the game. They should also be a backbone for the community and a stand out role player. They should be responsible for making sure those in their department are not feeling lost if they are new and maybe push people in the right direction if they seem like the type to self-antag. They should really not be the type to not interact with the crew much as the job they do is very reliant on crew interaction as well as making sure their presence is known. I would love to hosts a feast every so often as a HoP for instance, get some people together and get a good vibe going. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?: Well, there are a ton of mega corporations all coming together to "work together" in a very strangely solid relationship. Theirs also a large phoron shortage and lots of vaurca that breath the now rarer phoron. Speaking of vaurca, those crazy bugs went and made a new type of vaurca, who was designed by either the Zo'ra hive or the C'thur hive, C'thur is adamant they were the ones who made it and are looking to sue the Zo'ra hive. Tensions are rising between the hives. As I mostly play the Zo'ra hive vaurca, this could cause lots of issues if they are found to have stolen the design as they could face further discrimination. As a Head of personal human I would have to insure that the vaurca in my employment would be treated fairly if any fire comes their way and insure that they get the phoron that is now in short supply. As a Ta I would need to mend the situation and make sure that I give vaurca a good name through my actions. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?: After the application is accepted I plan to play as a Ta Consular, Head of personnel, and MAYBE HoS way way later down the line. I know the Head of personnel jobs like the back of my hand as thats what I usually play and feel I could assist in making sure most of the areas are open and staffed by me if no one else is in, teaching new people, making sure all is running smoothly and lastly making nice events in the bar! Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles: Yes, I feel I understand the role completely! Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking: I plan to bring out a character I feel would fit well, the first character I ever played for real on the server, my old bartender human Jati Hunt as a Head of Personnel. I do not really play humans anymore, but I do like Jati as they are the first character I really enjoyed and they are how I learned to love the server. They were known for their events they hosted at the bar when I played them often and feel they would just be a great fit. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action: I fully expect that If I require continuous administrative actions and warnings my whitelist is to be removed. WhatsUpBrotendo Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 +1 from me. I've interacted with them enough to know that they'll do well as Command.
Shadow Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Trial starts today and ends in a week. Try to get as much feedback regarding your command play as you can during that time.
LocoTokyoFunBus Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 My interactions with Jati Hunt as my chef have been nothing but positive, and so far gr33dy has been a very attentive command player who's consistently pretty cognizant of other characters' needs. Their non-command characters are fun to be around too, and I think as a player they would do a good job with this whitelist. +1
Predicament Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 Nothing but positive experiences with this character. If I could do two +1's I would.
