He saw this one be brutalized by the IPC warden. Aak'jarsk - Cargo Technician. (GladiatorGames123) Spoken with after the incident and witnessed her traumatized. Eden Li - Medical Doctor. Treated her wounds that she incurred while being brutalized by the IPC Warden. Time of Incident: Real Time: I think around 10 PM EST. Before all the zombie vampire shit happened. Location of Incident: Medical Lobby, Cargo stair well, Chief Medical Officers Office. Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [X] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [X] - Other - Disregard for her rights as a citizen of the Republic. Overview of the Incident: She is an Officer aboard this station. She has worked for this company for two years- almost three. She is a recent transfer to the N.S.S Aurora from the N.S.S Canis Minor medical station. This one has a clean record. She is on scholarship for school and she is contractually obligated to work while attending school. She loves her job, and she is currently studying Federal law and Corporate law. She wants to either get involved with the Federal Investigations Bureau, or maybe become a Head of Security one day. She loves this company and she loves the Republic. If she was not Security, she would join the TCFL. With that said, she knows her rights. She knows what she is entitled to and she knows the station directives and regulations like the back of her hand. She has the right to refuse treatment unless detained or the station is operating under procedures that are non-standard. So when the Captain began ordering medical scans for everyone, this one refused. Why? Well, not only is it her right, but she also has religious preferences about it. She does not really like medicine, nor does she like the equipment used. It scares her. She does not like sitting in those pods and being scanned, it feels invasive and she doesn't like that everyone in the medical bay can see it. If it was just one on one? Sure, she might have agreed. But there was a line of crew members and other staff who could see her business. Not only this, but she was being forced to sign a paper that would deem her responsible for anything that came from the test. She cannot afford extra medical bills. So, this one declined the scan. Which is her right. Then, the Captain ordered the IPC warden to arrest her for not wanting to get scanned and force her to be scanned. There are several issues with this. One, she was no presented with a warrant. The detention falls under i205. Illegal detention, arrest or holding. She must make it known that this was done on code green. Blue would be different. An injunction would be differen.t But none of these things happened. This one told the warden that it was not its place to arrest people. She had to remind the machine that it's place was in the brig. The warden ignored her and ordered her to place her hands behind her back and to drop her gear. This is where she grew very afraid. This one is small. The IPC is big, and metal. She was worried that it would hurt her, because machines do not know better. This one told it to leave her alone and ran, because it had pulled its baton out. Mind them, she posed no threat to the IPC. She ran down the hall and to Cargo, but the warden pursued and emptied its entire disruptor into her back- and when she tried to surrender- it beat her mercilessly. She has burns from the stun-baton still, they are healing and bandaged. The IPC hand cuffed her and hoisted her over its shoulder- carrying her like a child. She was not resisting, she only ran because she feared for her wellbeing, and it was trying to force her into a scan- so she was even more afraid. This is a violation of i205 once more, along with i117. Excessive use of force in detainment. Granted this detainment also broke regulations because there was no warrant presented. Not only that, but beating her continuously with its baton gave her physical burns. Very excessive. She would even consider it battery since the arrest was illegal. Anyway, the IPC brought her back to the medical bay, and forced her into the scanner. So now she is panicking. She climbed out of it before they could scan and she went and hid behind officer Madisyn Chitalia. The CMO tried to get her to be scanned for her health, but she told them to (fuck off). Her emotions were high and she was in pain. The CMO can attest to her heart rate being high and she was not in the greatest emotional mindset. The Warden tried to arrest officer Chitalia because she wouldn't force this one to get scanned or something as well, but she doesn't know much about that. The doctor, Eden Li asked permission to treat this one- and she gave it. He gave her a pain killer and administered treatment to her chest wounds caused by the IPC. (OOC note, i cannot actually remember if they were real burns or not, but i kept getting the YOUR CHEST REALLY BURNS prompt) Doctor Li was professional and can attest to the IPC's behavior. The Captain told her to calm down over the holopad and then came down to the medical bay to talk to her. She told them all she was making an IR, and the Captain did not seem to like this. He brought her, Beacon and Officer Madisyn Chitalia into the CMO office to talk about 'compensating her'. He wanted to bribe her to not make an IR. The Captain told her that he ordered Beacon to arrest this one if they would not comply with a scan. Remember, she has a federal right to refuse treatment. The IPC tried to tell her that the Captain could bend the regulations in their favor. While this is true, the operations have to be non-standard, as stated in the Captain-Command Authority clause in the station regulations. Along with the Command announcement. The code level? Green. Injunctions? None. Regulations she broke? None, as the Captain cannot circumvent federal law or station regulations (outside of standard operations). So again, standard operations. The Captain admitted to bending the regulations, and she even heard that Central Command ordered these scans, but she has no proof if that is true as no one showed her any actual evidence. If Central Command did order this, she wants the FIB involved. By the way. The Captain tried to give her one thousand credits as an (apology) and (paid leave) for the shift so she wouldn't have to work, a weak attempt at bribing her to not make this report. She is smart. She knows she has a good case here and she knows that the Captain was way out of line, along with the warden. It would be good to note that the Warden and Captain tried to intimidate her during this meeting. Officer Chitalia was present for all of it until it was just this one and the Captain speaking. In short, she was brutalized for refusing a medical scan due to religious reasons and extreme fear of small spaces and the medical technology used. Her rights were ignored and trampled. She was emotionally abused and physically abused. She has a hard time outside of work already, and one of the only things this one can look forward to is coming to work- but now she is afraid to work because she might be brutalized again. She wants accountability for those that hurt her and the Captain that ordered it to happen. Along for those who just sat and watched. And she wants reassurance that this will never happen again because it really scares her. She is considering getting an actual lawyer and suing the company because of this so she can get out of her contract and go work for the Biesel police department.. She does not want to, but this really scared her. Submitted Evidence: She can show the agent her burns when she is interviewed. Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: She did not because the Captain was the offender and other command members just let it happen. There was no Head of Security but she wishes there was because they would have not let this happen.. Actions taken: Brutalizing this one and abusing her rights.
