How long have you been playing on Aurora?:

About two years?

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?

Yes, Warning for going AFK, november of 2020

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:
The purpose of a Head of Staff is both to serve in a leadership role, by coordinating their subordinates in their department, and also communicating with the other heads to form a coherent response to problems that arise. They also have a mentor side, and are responsible for knowing most if not all of their department’s mechanics, and are also expected to teach apprenticeship roles if possible.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:

To make rounds entertaining by encouraging roleplay, and being an example in following the server rules, playing along with antag gimmicks when plausible and keeping salt both ICly and OOCly to a low level.

Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?
The most recent events, especially the embassy bombing by anti-federation agents and the arrival of the refugees with the creation of the Starlight Zone, has put a strain on Ti’ri, who is now more than ever pressed to prove his loyalty to both the SCC and to the Jargon Federation.
With the unveiling of the Horizon, he sees it as an opportunity to slowly shift upwards in the corporate cogs, moving towards more middle management positions.

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?
Head of Security, Corporate Liaison, Head of Personnel

Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?
Yes

Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.:
Qu'ke Ti'ri - Head of Security

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?
Yes

Have you linked your byond account to the forums?

Yes

Extra notes: None

I would like to see a trial with the Skrell HOS. It is a neat concept and we don't see too many Skrell in sec. If you don't mind me asking a bit about his backstory... What is his SCS and how does that affect his career path?

Personally, I think that Floppa is one of the best role-players I've encountered in ~10 years of SS13 and elsewhere.

I could understand someone being wary of giving them a trial because of the nature of their current main. However, from my experience with Floppa and discussing character concepts and roleplay in general with them, they very clearly possess the ability to accurately play out a wide spectrum of character archetypes, and they (already) deeply consider the sorts of qualities that make a good, fun character to play with, like those that are important for someone in command.

+1.

@RyverStyx

His SCS is around the 7.6 mark. He has spent quite some time in the Federation, graduating with a Bachelors in Law then Criminology. After that, he served in the Qukala for about twelve years, honorably leaving the service after volunteering due to a small reduction in the number of officers at that time, deciding to leave due to seeing his assignment slowly shift into a dead-end for his career. Finding himself aimless and without many relationships to tie him down, he decided to set out in search of a prestigious job outside of the Federation. He set out towards the Sol Alliance, but didn't manage to secure a job that satisfied his standards in the Middle Planets. Moving out to Biesel, he joined NT and worked investigating small-time corporate fraud. After a vacancy in the Aurora, he applied to his current position, hoping to soon embark in the Horizon and shift his career upwards.

After playin with their Skrell HOS I would like to reiterate my +1. I was an investigator in a merc round under the command of Flpfs and while it was certainly hectic I feel that they did their job exceedingly well.

The round Ryver's talking about, you could have communicated better over radio with the rest of command; even considering how fuckshit that round was.

I was the XO that round, and it was hard to get information out of you regarding what your department was up to, and the status of the boarders. My service department of all places was giving better intel than you. I think the only time we got something out of you was when you unceremoniously asked us to raise to red.

I don't care how hectic it is down there, what separates adequate command from good command is your ability to step outside of what you're doing and communicate. At the very least, you'll not frustrate the hell out of people.

It's not enough for me to -1, though. I've partaken in at least one other round with you, and you did great work with your team and communicating with command. A round like the one we just had is intense, regardless of who was trialing or not. Just try to keep people in the loop in the future.

Accepted, although keep in mind the feedback given here. I think you need some work on keeping communications up to date - specifically in situations where you might not want to due to outside factors - but otherwise, I think you will make a good head of security in time.
