Reason for complaint: I received a warning for killing myself as a freebooter captain to leave the round. There was two rounds where I did kill myself as a freebooter. One of them was directly a gun in my mouth because I had popped my lungs and was on my own and got brain damage so bad I couldn’t even distress call. The second I accidentally spaced myself because I am notoriously unlucky as a freebooter for some reason. At this point my history paints an obvious picture of me as unreliable and this is just a warning and not a ban so at the end of the day I’m not looking to argue, I just genuinely didn’t kill myself to escape the round.

Additionally, what exactly are you making the complaint about? Are you trying to get the warning expunged? You only have one warning on file about this kind of incident. 
Are you wanting to have the warning rewritten? I'm not following.

Hey there.

First of all to add to the complaint, I am fairly sure the warning was placed on Round cps-cAoB.

Now to come to your warning:

I've placed the warning on you for committing suicide as the Freebooter Captain, I've seen it rather late, otherwise I would have personally talked to you about it in an AdminPM, unfortunately you already disconnected at the time. There was someone mentioning this in Deadchat such as a Vaurca Freebooter launching a distress signal regarding your death - when I looked over the situation, your mob was laying there with a knife-revolver that was missing one bullet. Scrolling through the Adminlogs in-game, I then found the log confirming you have committed suicide.

I cannot entirely recall it as I didn't check, but there seemed to be Atmosphere in the ship still so that must have happened from you stepping outside without internals or something close to that. Your mob was laying right infront of the Bridge - just because your lungs have been popped, it's no clear greenlight to commit suicide, you could have very well used that time to launch a distress signal to at least have your body recovered by the Horizon (which your fellow Freebooter later did).

I do not have much to add. From my eyes this seems rather clear, given your record, this has been a warning.

The reason I died in the bridge and not way off where my lungs actually popped (either returning from or going to a derelict I believe) was because I was actively fighting to last long enough to send a distress signal- I had done the syringe reinflate stuff and made my way the bridge- only to find in horror as I tried to click on things that I got some line about drooling and wondering what the button was or how it worked.

Expunged or rewritten, depending on the verdict of this conversation. My qualm mostly lays with the warning stating that I did it to leave the round, as that was not the case. Shooting myself was the last defiant act of a man who had been robbed of any chance of life, by lack of nearby help and lack of response to hailing as I made my way from the shuttle to the bridge attempting to light off my distress signal, only to arrive and find my brain was so damaged from lack of oxygen that I couldn’t even comprehend what the button was.

So the warning is - 

"Killing themselves as Freebooter Captain to leave the round. This is not acceptable. There are cryopods on the Freebooters ship, use those to cryo or ahelp if you cannot for some reason.." 

Which part here is wrong? Did you not kill yourself to leave the round? The issue is that you killed yourself. You should've ahelped in advance or tried a beacon first.

Ahelp, yes. I didn’t know this was a situation that I should have ahelped tbh, I assumed ic problem would need an ic solution. Apologies in that regard.

 

the button on the other hand- I know nothing of Aurora med, but I’m pretty sure I was too brain damaged to press the button or interact with consoles, It was giving me some line about drooling and looking at them dumbly

I think I will expunge the warning and leave it as a note. Loorey is right, you shouldn’t kill yourself like this. But it seems like you didn’t really mean for this to be malicious or use it to leave the round bc you were bored or something.
