Lore Impact (Small/Medium/Large): Large

Species: General, All Species

Short Description: This is an expansion/re-organization of the IAC to be a more decentralized entity. In addition, its history has been fleshed out, and descriptions have been written for -most- of the IAC affiliates (see below however).

How will this be reflected on-station?: This will not be directly reflected on the Horizon. However, it will reflect off-ships that spawn, and may provide a template for characters on the Horizon.

Does this addition do anything not achieved by what already exists?: Primarily, this allows each individual lore team to write for the IAC, in the guise of each affiliate member of the IAC. The central IAC organization can be reserved for -big- disasters that likely require loremaster input anyway. The smaller groups can be written for by each team without input from other groups, and they can each be tailored to the individual factions to represent their character more.

Do you understand that the project may change over time in ways you may not foresee once it is handed over to the Lore Team? Yes

This was not fully finished. In particular, I was not entirely sure how to write the entries for the COC, the Adhomian factions, and the Hegemony. However, I believe there is enough here to review as-is.

This is partially reliant on this lore app, and indeed that was split from this:

I pride myself of one of the first first proper IAC players (with adding the original uniforms and rest of assets that may or may no longer be in the code) and I find this addition mostly fine. Yeah there are still some WIP sections but I do agree that the IAC is in a bad spot right now. Some kind of limbo. This all reads mostly fine, so I am all for it.

Could you get your ideas across in a more succinct description?

In-Game and Lore Effects (For lore team, not wiki)

Each sector is guaranteed to have human, IPC (except Dominia and Nralakk), and skrellian members of the IAC present. Each sector can have a different ratio of other species for local flavor; Adhomai can add in tajara members in addition to the standard; Biesel can have a large mix of all species; COC has less skrell but more humans; etc. The specific missions sent can also differ per-sector, with some sectors lacking security entirely, while others may be well-equipped to deal with pirates that may wish to pilfer its valuable medicines. Overall this provides lore writers the flexibility to custom tailor the IAC to best flavor the current sector the SCCV Horizon finds itself in, and involve them and their affiliates in whatever news and events they desire.

For overall lore, this splits the IAC to both make more sense, and be much easier to write. Rather than one huge organization that does everything, we now have local affiliates that each lore team can handle on a case-by-case basis, with the central IAC being reserved for large events in the spur that lore needs to collaborate on anyway.

I'm kind of neutral on this but leaning against. This would introduce, in my opinion, a lot of bloat to what is otherwise a fairly straightforward concept. Instead of IAC we'll have how many organizations under it- with how many acronyms? It seems excessive.

The problem is that it's not a straightforward concept. The lore team will not write for it as it's a massive organization, and they don't agree on what it should be. This allows us to have a per-faction subdivision so everyone can get their way, and it makes the larger organization make more sense since it's not trying to micromanage everything. It'll only be involved in big stuff that needs lore master input anyway.

Currently I plan to have this discussed. The IAC is, as mentioned further up, in something of a limbo, and it being a footnote is a bit sad for a faction that has offships.

As it stands, I personally would prefer you finish the WIP sections before this is fully considered, as opinions may change. Expanding on the interfactional relations can also be helped by consulting what is currently on the wiki.
