Player Complaint - Quiet Cowboy

Reason for complaint:

Essentially, Dave Smith, one of Quiet Cowboy's characters is a non-character. I have never, for what seems like a good 8, maybe 12, hours of sharing a round with the guy, seen any amount of roleplay that shows any interest in engaging with Aurora's community beyond targets for either antagonism or general trolling. He has a consistent behavior of playing an antagonist, largely only Traitor or Vampire, and minimizing anything that isn't directly necessary for antagonism's sake. On the occasions where he isn't a solo antagonist, this lack of characterization and interest extends even into Extended, where Dave Smith will simply rattle off insults, be a nuisance and generally behave without even a mild consideration to the setting at large or the passing thought of continued employment. 

His Antagonist play is also incredibly lacking. He plays exclusively to get kills and maximize mechanical success over the broader enjoyment of the server from what I have seen. While his antagonism involves many people, they are exclusively mechanics first and tell no story beyond what the mechanics allow for, beyond "That guy's an asshole, huh?"

To seal the deal, this is a player who has atleast five antag unban requests, a previous player complaint (dated 12 days ago as of this post). While the previous complaint was rejected, I hope that this second one will stick.

Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? No, however his actions on round cro-aRrc were handled in part by YouJustGotOwened, with an unknown outcome. In previous rounds, I have not made an attempt to ahelp, as nothing appeared in the moment to be worthy of it (though maybe I should have.)

Testament to the err-- lack of good RP from David Smith in the last round I had with them. 

As a Consular, they simply asked about my Empire, and then started throwing... 5 year old's insults at me? "Your house is full of chickens!" being one of the dumber ones. 
They then came back to my Consular and used the mechanic vamps have that make you "like" them, just to try and get me in my office so they could drain my blood. 

Now, it's small, but the RP was absolutely not there. I was nice to them, as the mechanic states, but once they realized I wasn't going back to my office with them, they just went "uhh... gotta go" and ran off to security to kill 2 officers, and a first responder. 

And this sort of RP is pretty.. standard to see from this character. I got almost the same sort of lackluster RP and non-story-driven RP from the same character as my Psych. 

It's bottom of the barrel mRP, at best.

Alrighty. After reviewing Quiet Cowboy’s history here, we believe that it is apparent that a majority of the reported issues relate directly to your behavior while playing in antagonist roles. After last night’s vampire round, Quiet Cowboy was given another antagonist ban with specific instructions on what to do in order to improve the quality of his characters/roleplay in-game. Consequently, we have not found it necessary to implement any additional punishments at this time.

However, we are fully aware of these concerns surrounding Quiet Cowboy’s non-antagonist conduct. It is imperative to note that while an antag ban has been placed, your behavior outside of these roles requires a great deal of work. You have been playing on this server for a good majority of the year at this point, and it is expected that you should be well aware of our expectations for players. Interactions such as the ones outlined here are absolutely not enough to even qualify as the "bare minimum."

In the aftermath of this antag ban, we strongly urge that you take time to work on fleshing out and developing your characters. While it might not be an easy task, simply playing rounds as a non-antag and actively working to establish yourself within the setting, will help you develop a stronger sense of RP as a result. 

To reiterate, @QuietCowboy. While we are not imposing any additional punishments at this time, we really need to see some actual efforts to improve your conduct here. If you are not already on the Discords, you should consider joining them and asking whatever questions you have as they come up. Likewise, if you are in-game, shooting us an ahelp is always a good idea as well. We are more than willing to give advice as best we can.
