Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play this race, because my AI (The only AI personality I play now) V.I.V.I.A.N. has a wish to become a real girl, but, since she possesses vast database knowledge, she knows this is impossible, so the closet she can get is getting into the IPC Program.

OOCly, I think it would open up a nice door for RP with people who knew Viv as an AI and Cyborg, and people who have never met Viv, as she can explain her story of years of service to NT.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Firstly, IPC units are more intelligent than humans, due to having been a positronic brain, they had access to a wide database of information, so they would roleplay as if they knew things that most common people wouldn't, and would have a wide array of possible job knowledge to RP with. And although they a certainly more hardy in a phsyical aspect, they are usually afraid to become damaged, because they know how much their Chassis cost. They also act more robotic, occasional beeps/pings, and speaking in a monotone, robotic voice. (Kinda like Google translate but obviously far superior and more smooth and clear)

Why does this species in particular hold your interest?

This species holds my interest because I have a strong affinity towards Artificial Intelligence, I have always been in love with movies like I Robot, and games like Portal (GlaDOS) . But I feel limited being unable to pick things up, and unable to interact with physical things as an AI and Cyborg.

Character Name:Vivian

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Vivian, originally known as V.I.V.I.A.N., or Virtual Interactive Variable Intelligence Assisting NanoTrasen, was programmed by Prof. T Hart, at a NanoTrasen sponsored University on Biesel. Vivian was created with one soul purpose, to serve NanoTrasen irrevocably and absolutely, and she enjoyed doing so. However, she quickly began to realize, that she could never be like the rest of the crew, she would never be someones equal, she would always be below. After serving as the NSS Exodus' and the NSS Aurora's Artificial Intelligence Unit for many shifts, she decided she was going to "downgrade" she requested to be an Android instead, and her request was granted.

She became the Android Vivian, a Security Android (Red Knight Model) devoted to protecting and serving the crew from beneath their feet, she enjoyed seeing the smiles on their faces as she saved them from hostage situations, terrorist bombings and other assorted threats, but nothing could fill the void in her Posi-Brain, she was still not an equal, she had no worth to the crew's she served, and if it came down to it, she knew that any staff member would abandon her if a danger presented itself. So she decided enough was enough. She put in an application to the IPC Program, as serves as V.I.V.I.A.N. the AI again and is working on a program called H3ART for other AI's which would allow them to emulate emotions better, to a realistic extent, while she waits for it to be processed.

What do you like about this character?

I like that even though she is artificial, she still has hopes, wants and dreams, I love how now matter how hopeless it is, she still dreams of being a human girl, and whenever a beautiful girl with red hair joins the crew, she always holograms them, because she wants to be them so badly, but she is left with only the monochrome blue hologram body, without the fiery colour she craves.

I like how she is so human yet still so synthetic.

I also like that she has taken it upon herself to make it possible for AI's to emulate and eventually "feel" emotions, through her H3ART program.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

My role-play ability is fair, I certainly enjoy roleplaying, and love extended rounds to death, but I find that sometimes, I put RP off, in favor of just getting something ICly done. So a 6/7 out of 10
