One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: The lore of IPCs really interested me, and I felt the need to play as one to help spread the lore of Aurora and to make others more immersed into the world. I think it would allow for more fun altercations with other players and make the game more enjoyable. This is why I think being able to play as an IPC would help me better the community. I would like to be able to play as an IPC Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:[/being able to be an IPC allows me to further immerse myself into the world. I also feel that being an IPC would broaden my possible ways of roll playing because it is completely inhuman. Not only this but it would also allow for me to be a better bartender than I currently am as it would allow me to be more interesting and allow for more humorous role playing while maintaining a serious atmosphere. Character Name:Ash Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Ash was programmed in a lab to be a humorous learning companion. After years of training Ash decided he wanted to learn more and bring humor to others. After spending days learning about mixing drinks and the law he decided his skill set was diverse enough to leave the lab and find a space station to live and work. He did this with the wish of learning as much as he could about the human race and the worlds around him. As he ventured across the universe he was approached by a NT representative asking if he could work for NT as a guard or bartender he asked if he could see the station before choosing and he was whisked to Aurora. While recharging his batteries he met many nice people and other IPCs with similar stories to his. After spending some time thinking about it he decided to live on that station and to apply for a job as a bartender or guard whichever one he could get. What do you like about this character? He is witty funny and a general great person which I relate too. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I think I am an adept role player and can improve given the tools Notes: Link to comment

As an aside to the overall topic, while I don't wish to +1 or -1 Cobracoco007, I do think it warrants mentioning that he has a lot of learning to do. I think he's well-meaning and I don't think he will be or HAS been a deliberate problem, but I have had two incidents with him recently: * As an Internal Affairs Agent in dead hour, he changed Wang Shui and Karina Miller's names in the employment records to Dong Shui and Bitch respectively. When pursued for arrest, he ran away for a brief time and then disconnected. * As a Security Officer, he was complicit in beating a restrained and compliant antag to death. (Sort of. It was a changeling so the long-term consequences were nil.) Notably, he acknowledged that he messed up big time here very quickly, and tried to role play distress at committing manslaughter and the consequences thereof in a fit of panic. Link to comment

cobracoco007 Posted June 10, 2015 Author Share Posted June 10, 2015 The dead hour incident occurred with friends on team speak with a running joke so yeah no excuse ask soapycup or wolfy to confirm this if your curious, and the forensics round I just joined and got told to kill the guy by a detective so i did i then realized i had fucked up hard and i apologized as i could then i read in depth what i had previously skimmed over in the rules to avoid future mistakes Link to comment

When he didn't find that his whitelist accepted during one round, he spammed the link to him whitelist until an admin muted OOC. Plus, Ive had some bad experiences with him before, especially in medical. I never see him doing his job, and he continually "cloned" himself with protohumans and UI syringes most of a round and had someone else in science teleport them into medbay for more of a round. He's been a 21-year-old IAA, he seems to drift across departments (although if it's just science and security this isn't completely farfetched) freely, etc. Link to comment

When he creates a character he loves, he'll actually work to play and develop that character. That's how it works for me. I've been guiding him into Aurora's community, showing him how things work.
