cobracoco007
BYOND Key:Cobracoco007 Character name:Chive Item name:Chive's Engraved Auto-injector. Why is your character carrying said item to work?Chive brings the engraved auto-injector to always remember the first patient he lost he keeps track of all those who died and were unable to be saved by engraving their initials into the auto-injector so that he never forgets when he failed. Item function(s):It's a broken auto-injector. Item description:You see a slightly rusty auto-injector that appears to have initials inscribed into it you read W.N. Item appearance:It would be identical to the auto injector but with a few rusty specks on it and some gray lines vertically across the center. Additional comments:I think that this would be a nice compliment to Chive's character development where he slowly grows to be more bitter and focused more on the cases he's lost rather then won. Dreamix
You sure you want a "auto-injector"? Because the station spawns with lots of those. You can find boxes full of those in various lockers, and you can always order another box (along with first-aid kits, syringes, and something else) for some cheap price from cargo. However, auto-injectors are cheap, but not multi-use. Sure, you can fill them with stuff, but after using them, they break leaving a broken injector. So, would your character engrave a custom auto-injector every shift? You sure you don't want a "hypo-spray"? That's the better auto-injector, with 15 units capacity (I think),and ability to refill it after use. So, yes, those are multi-use. However, there's only one available on the station, that spawns in CMO's locker. So, no, it wouldn't be balanced if you were spawning with another one, due to obvious balance'y stuff (If I'm right, you could give someone 30 units of a chemical without any waiting times or cooldowns). But, a item-mod (I forgot how's it called >.<, that custom thing that changes item's look, once. Modkit?) would be fine, I guess. Link to comment

cobracoco007
Yeah I know its not that special but that's how Chive is he keeps little things that others don't value thanks for the comment! Edit Yeah it is broken or it has one use and its use is not canonical. Link to comment

TishinaStalker
Not gonna let it pass if it has inaprovaline in it. Must already be spent if it's going to show signs of old age because a medical professional being hired by a massive corporation isn't going to use tools that have signs of rust. Link to comment

SoapyCup
This would be a really neat thing to have. It adds to the character quite a bit, I don't see a reason for him not to have it. Link to comment
TishinaStalker
Consider your application approved. It will be locked and moved to the Accepted Applications sub. When it's moved to the Completed sub, then it means it'll be accessible to you. Link to comment
