Lady_of_Ravens Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Given that the CSI kit being lost (or held hostage by the detective) isn't so very uncommon, this seems like a good idea.
Filthyfrankster Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Helps deal with the superiority that detectives think they have over CSI "I get the gun, the knowledge of a security officer, AND GET ARMED WITH WEAPONS DURING RED. So give me the kit you fucking gymza" So yes
Garnascus Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Detectives nabbing the things in the first place isn't supposed to happen on this server. Your job as a detective is to gather evidence and question suspects. Linking said evidence to people is solely the work of CSI people. Its up to security/Head of security/duty officers I think to combat detectives that nab it anyway. Personally, I would just bwoink them about it but I'm not sure how the rest of staff feel about it.
Zidanyia Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Might see about doing this and perhaps adding a full bio-suit to the medical sterile equipment crate, just cuz, cuh c:

EvilBrage Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 You can already do this. It's cleverly hidden under "auxillary forensic tools."
Zidanyia Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Clever, yes, but these are its contents. Doesn't have the full set. Though, if it did, it'd just be called 'forensic tools'. I'll talk to Scopes about it.
EvilBrage Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I dunno, I think we could leave it this way and call it a feature. I mean, if the CSI is so careless to lose his stuff, he really deserves to lose the mechanical advantage tied to them.

Have you seen how many times a detective will hold the kit hostage or an officer got a hold of it or something? That's how it goes. Most of sec thinks they are more important that any other sec rank because of their perks. this happens with wardens too, thinking they are de facto HoS's. But that's for another thread.

I can confirm that when I've joined rather late as CSI, the kit is usually missing and no one knows where it is. Or the detective takes it and refuses to give it back.
