Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 In Medical, I always ask doctors to print out advanced scans of patients if they find anything noteworthy. This lets them make sure they don't forget an injury, and helps out the surgeon. In the end they're best put in the filing cabinet in the scanner room, which also gives us a convenient little patient history! However, we have to manually label them with the patient's name. This can be a bit ass, and quite a few doctors either don't do it or don't have time, so we end up mixing up the scans. Automatically naming the printed scans with the name of the mob inside it would be great. Just "Scan" with the name of the mob in parenthesis for the printed scans. So instead of Body Scan Body Scan Body Scan We have Scan (Steve Bob) Scan (Louis Pete) Scan (Ab'dul'al-rash-rin'lo Bob'sa'lu'ski-chan)
Killerhurtz Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 That would be amazeballs. Never again will I remove someone's liver because they had a popped lung and just happened to come in at the same time as a drunkard.
Owen Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Please, we need this. I am not sure why it doesn't even label them in the first place. (Probably an oversight) But it would be super helpful if it was added.
Lady_of_Ravens Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 This would be very handy. Keeping copies of scans is common practice and having to take the time to label them properly just increases the chances of it not being done. Also, surgeons really, really want these body scans. Seriously, unless someone is dying too fast for a scan, they shouldn't go into surgery without one.
Carver Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I'm surprised this even needs to be a suggestion, seems like the kind of small thing you'd just add in because there's really no reason not to.
