And a few other chars I don't really play anymore. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Dark red-ish. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: The Unathi are a very interesting race, especially after the recent events in Mendell City and the HMV Cataclysm story. I also like the Unathi culture, especially their clan system. I also toyed around with idea of making a Unathi shaman, which I probably will at some point, because I love their spirits of the ancestors religion. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: As stated above, their culture is VERY different to other species which makes them very interesting to play. The fact that many will distrust Unathi after the recent news about Unathi. Besides that, their religion with shamans and spirits of their ancestors. Character Name: Aszarius Akenzua Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Born on Moghes in Teht in 2437. Not quite knowing who his father was, only to be described as a coward and a traitor, who left Moghes after a few certain incidents. Leaving him to be raised by his mother and the rest of the clan. Spending a majority of his youth handling the clan trade handling the threshbeasts they had on the farm. As well as learning from the elders. He spent most of free time building small things and repairing things on the farm. He also spent quite some time with the clans shaman, talking about his ancestors. With every passing day left him wondering, He didn’t want to simply live the rest of his life out like this. Knowing he had much more knowledge to improve his skills. With one day, his mother finally presenting him with the truth and the answers to his questions, and a hefty amount of credits that was left to her by Aszarius’ father as a goodbye gift. Seeking a shuttle off of the planet that was bound for Biesel, taking the time to study, barely learning to speak common language of the land and study the ways the humans his father was so fascinated about. Enrolling in a trade school to hone his skills and assist in seeking out a career for himself. After years of studying and learning about opportunities for employment working as a part of the engineering staff on board a space station owned by Nanotrasen. What do you like about this character? Raised without a father, his engineering knowledge and the fact that he has family on the Aurora/Exodus How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'd say 7/10, can't judge myself. Notes:

A great RPer to hang with and a pretty swell person OOCly, I've never been left with a sour taste by their RP or interactions. I'm fully confident that they can hiss effectively!

However, the character seems to be very... Vague. "One thing lead to another" isn't something that lets me know that you have a grasp of the species. I'm also curious what sort of farm that he worked on. What sort of plants did they grow? Being carnivores, they don't get much nutrition from plants. Was he born under the Izweski Hegemony, or was he born outside of it, while on Moghes? The planet is still not unified.

Owen Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I have seen many of Shadow's characters. Most of them have been pretty good and I don't usually worry when I see them on the manifest. Don't really see a reason why they should get he whitelist. +1
