UnknownMurder Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I'm not sure how or what to explain here but you get the general idea. Department checks Department. The best example I can say is: Medical checks Security by Medical treating the prisoner firstly while the prisoners serves brig time.
Loow Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Do you mean to point out how the system works now or are you suggesting a change to bring about a system?
UnknownMurder Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 Do you mean to point out how the system works now or are you suggesting a change to bring about a system? Whether to apply the system or bring a change of the system. Forgive me being so vague but, I'd rather to let you detail the information. I am not sure how to interpret this legality in Station and so on.
Guest Menown Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Bringing medical to the brig to check somebody that'll be sitting in a cell for two minutes is just bad practice. I'd say let it happen for HuT/Sentences over ten minutes.
Loow Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Well presently all of the departments have some level of check on another. Security looks over the whole to ensure people don't kill each other. Medical heals the whole to ensure people don't kill each other. Engineering repairs the hull to ensure people don't kill each other. Civilian department keeps the rest of the ship moving and populated so people have the opportunity to kill each other. Then there's Command who gives orders to each department and CCIA who come aboard to deal with any reported incidents and push around command on occasion.
Nanako Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I can see a four way thing, sort of Security watches engineering, because its the most critical department and they have the easiest ways to kill everyone. Engineering watches science, to ensure they're not blowing up the station with their bombs. Security is woefully underequipped to deal with plasma fires and bombings. Medical watches security for violations of ethics and suspects rights. Uses their crew monitor to track those being abused but science watching medical kinda doesnt make sense

Mandates or Fines from Department to Department and such like a Bureaucracy. EDIT: Nanako is on topic. Edited May 11, 2016 by Guest
Redfield5 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Too bland. "Checks and balances" and "They do this" doesn't cut it. Explain what you mean in detail, please.
