[Denied] Becknozzle's Head whitelist application

Recommended Posts

BYOND key: Beckshnaz

Character names: Steven Wright, Riley Williamson, and Alexis Baker

How long have you been playing on Aurora?: One Month

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I've found that while most normal station jobs are fun, I want to have some degree of Leadership and Authority.

Why did you come to Aurora?: For the roleplaying aspect, most medium "RP" servers are boring to me now.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes, I have extensively

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:

Role-playing to me is getting immersed in a world that is different than your own. It should feel like you are the character, and should reflect that when your avatar is faced with human problems like death, camaraderie, and strife. Role-playing to me is feeling like the person on screen.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

To help keep the round going smoothly, without command staff people wouldn't be obligated to do their job due to lack of "actual" authority. They are also there to add a sort of, "in game wiki" so to speak, Like you can ask them how to do something if you are stuck.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: To assist them whenever they need help, to not abuse their privilege, and to uphold in-game law and regulations. Their duty is to be well versed in the department head they are whitelisted as, and to not be incompetent.

Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions.

Character name: Steven Wright

Character age: 34

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

Steven Wright was born on Sol, into a very privileged family. His early life was cluttered in schooling and Self-discipline, and it shows to this current day. His schooling in Nanotrasen law and regulations began at eighteen, while also serving as a Security Cadet at New Baghdad's upper class district. His promotion into Security officer was at 23, and was transferred to a prison colony in martian orbit. Stationed there until he was 28, He was quick to head to the Tau Ceti Spaceport for his last three years as an Officer.

He resigned from his officer position when he was 31 to go into employment as an Internal Affairs Agent on the NSS Aurora, in which he will serve his first shift as Internal Affairs, which he is "exited" about (As exited as an Internal Affairs Agent can be).

What do you like about this character?:

He is very smart, and has proper training in law and order. He also has a very good disposition on life, and often chooses to put on a serious facade while faced with casual situations.

What do you dislike about this character?:

He has very few friends and its hard for him to make friends, due to his Serious tone. His pampered childhood still seeps through his discipline at times, leading to a "gimme gimme" thought process.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?:

He will use his power well, and isn't quick to use his extra privileges. His disposition will lead to fair judgments and none the less no bias.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?:

I'd say i'm quite good at it, I still misspell a few words when trying to type quickly, but im getting better at it. Overall, im not terrible, but im not perfect.

Extra notes:

I just want to say I love your server, and I would love to play as an Internal Affairs Agent (and any other head type) if at all possible.

Two, main issues.

1) The responses you've given are way too sparse. The instructions there say one paragraph per question and two paragraphs for character background. One paragraph should contain at least five sentences.

2) Get more feedback. We have absolutely nothing to tell us whether giving you command would be a good idea or not. If you don't have more feedback by Tuesday, then I will be denying the application.

Good luck!
