A Minor Suggestion

Okay. Get this. Mice are not sanitized pests. They should be carrying non-contagious diseases. One way that they should spread disease is having a mouse nibbling a food, and leaving. Then, human eating the food clean.

The human is infected and... I don't know afterward.

A minor suggestion: Bringing a disease that killed a third of the human population and died out thousands of years ago onto the station.

I agree that food touched/eaten by mice shouldn't be clean, buuuuuuuuut... the Black Death?

Note, the black death, or the 'Bubonic' plague as it's actually known, is not that serious of a virus. The only reason it resulted in so much death is that they didn't have modern medicine. Nowadays the bubonic plague still actively exists (see China, town of 500 becomes infected with plague), but is easily and quickly contained and treated. And thats just today, fast forward to 2457's medicine? The plague would be nothing more than something as common as the cold, and would be just as equally as treatable.
