BYOND key: SonicGotNuked

Character names: Anna-De'lis'cerr'ri Cal'ie, Tuleech Mi'jri

How long have you been playing on Aurora?: I have been playing for 3-4 months.

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wish to be on the white list because I want to expand the challenge of RP and be apart of helping the station run smoothly. And to learn the paperwork and communication that command needs.

Why did you come to Aurora?: I came to Aurora to try the heavy RP aspects of the game. Before SS13 I played a lot of gmod RP and found half life 2 heavy RP really fun. After a month of getting sick of hippies gank and murder bone, I found a server that had the tag heavy RP and checked it out, it was a slow transition from low RP servers to the heavy RP. but I looked at the rules, got BWOINKED a few times, made a really shitty robotisis named Jackson Dempsey, and stuck with the server.

Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Role play is about generating a story with a group of people and using your imagination to make characters and their backstories, and use them to interact with other people's characters.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: the OOC purpose of a head of staff is to be a role model for the other people who are new to RP, they are a good source of learning a new skill in ss13 (like setting up the SM engine on a skeleton shift without deadly radiation blasting through the station while no chemist is on)

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: whitelisted people have the responsibility to make sure the RP and never break character. They also have the responsibility to learn from their mistakes when they make them. How I would strive to uphold the responsibility is I will make sure to know how to work the department that I am a head for.

Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions.

Character name: Tuleech Mi'jri

Character age: 46

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

She was born on Jul 4, 2412 in a small mountain town near the modern day PRA border called, Mai’kei. The town while she was growing up was decently away from the wars that ended up breaking out on Adomai. The town had a population of around 500 tajara with 94% being white fur, the other 6% of wheat, ivory, and silver were made fun of by the children and she faced discrimination growing up, hence she stayed home. When she was 9, the wars broke out and her town was not touched because it was secluded between two massive mountains. She always witnessed her parents look worried and was too young to know what they meant. When she was 22 years of age (2434) and had a better understanding of the humans and the wars, She found out that the PRA border claimed her home town and she left town, joining a PRA military academy. 2439 she graduated the military academy after 5 years of intensive education and training she graduated. 2440 she joined the PRA military and served 5 years with N.T offering a contract. After a year of EVA training and space training, she took a shuttle to the NSS Ara in 2446 and started as a security cadet, promoted 2448 and started taking prisoner management classes on top of being a security officer. 2454 she Transferred to the NMV Icarus and finished prisoner management. 2458 she transferred to the NSS Exodus and is currently going through the process of loyalty implantation.

What do you like about this character?: I like how she is always that serious warden tajaran and it is a break away from the other immature tajaran I usually play. She always tries to get the job done.

What do you dislike about this character?: I dislike how sometimes she gets a little of a bad reputation when I make a mistake in regulation.

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: I think they are fit to be a head of staff because they always try their hardest at getting the job done and remind security regulation when they are breaking it. Also she teaches the new officers (People who are very new from that new ss13 review) how to do their job.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10, I will let you decide.

Extra notes: Think I got everything. Also I am not that good in making back stories

Ill have to give in my honest opinion because i do not want tuleech as HoS, or any head of staffs played by sonic till they start making proper characters because holy shizzle, i cant put it anyway nicer but all your characters are ANNOYING to say the least.

And this isn't about that one time about acting captaincy, all your characters are immature and i think we have enough bad heads of staff as is, i dont want to deal with more awful heads.

Being a good head of staff isn't about being robust at your job, it needs someone good at teamwork, leadership and having the capacity to listen to your underlings and deal with stupidity, and judging from your characters you would be the source of stupidity itself.

-1 from me till i start seeing more trustworthy and mature characters from you.

I have never interacted with Sonic ingame, so the majority of my evaluation comes from the app itself.

You need to elaborate on yourself some more. What is this character like, mentally and physically? Why are they a good candidate for the job? Your biography is too short and doesn't give enough information on their ability to handle leadership roles.

Secondly, the OOC responsibility of being a head of staff: It's very demanding. You'll be a role-model and teacher, yes. But you'll also be a potential candidate for the dynamic events that happens every shift. The responsibilities of each Head of Staff differentiates from department to department. While I agree that one cannot fully experience the position expected of a head without first being a head, you have to understand the responsibilities required for each crew member you oversee. That doesn't just mean mechanics. You control the flow of responsibility in your department.

I'm gonna withhold my vote because I have not interacted with you ingame. But I would suggest playing a Quartermaster (at the least) before tackling the position of Head of Security (That is what I assume is being applied for). HoS is one of the most difficult Head positions available.

I wouldn't necessarily phrase it the way DatBerry went about describing it, but the intended message is not something I personally disagree with.

I have been subjected to deal with a lot of issues regarding most of your characters being little better than goof-off hooligan characters that tend to vary in degrees of insanity depending on the general mood of the player behind the character.

Whenever you're an antagonist, you seem to execute your plans from a mechanical standpoint well-ish, though the (inherent lack of?) roleplay quality behind it rarely justifies the use of force on your end.

I was particularly disappointed with your absolute ecstatic attitude you had a day or so ago (especially in LOOC with enlightening remarks such as "xD") in regards to rendering a non-combat civilian unclonable because you gored their head off with a PTR-7 AMR. Your character went along the same lines of "COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE" as your justification given your character was twitching and convulsing violently due to caffeine "overdose". You really didn't engage with security with anything beyond that point and you hardly made any demands for the hostage situation.

You were justly isolated and taken out of the round because of how you rendered a character + critical game progression slot out of the round permanently. It was especially ironic when you asked for medical treatment when you were hauled to the brig. Jackboot (bless his soul) ended up pitying you without knowing fully of the original circumstances and had you moved to communal later on, not because I was told by a moderator to do so. In fact, they were fine with me isolating you initially due to the extreme conditions of the situation and the general lack of sportsmanship and engaging interaction on your end.

When you're not an antagonist, you tend to exhibit the same behaviors an antagonist would normally display on their lonesome. Petty thievery, antagonizing crew members over petty squabbles and baiting people into fights, screaming over the radio over nonsense, and moreso the issue of your Tajaran characters being roleplayed as the stereotype of how a blonde bimbo would be roleplayed. Dumb, "cutesy", overtly-flirty, erratic, uncontrolled, vulgar, vain and child-like. Tajarans honestly have a lot of the opposite set of traits. Rugged, street-smart, prudish, polite in public company, scheming personalities, selfless and loyal to family. Those that don't fall in line with these social expectations tend to be weeded out, sent to FEMA-type camps and "re-educated" to fit in better with the rest of the Tajaran community.

You're not very good at taking orders. You tend to miss critical details when performing tasks when your boss tells you to get things done. Your warden character leaves their post when they weren't cleared to leave their post, especially considering the warden should never really be leaving the brig given they are responsible for watching the prisoners and being the first line of defense against armory thieves or brig intruders. In addition to helping coordinate officer movements, facilitating communication and updating records for those with a penchant for criminal activity. It is important to track this information so that the department can properly escalate methods of discipline for repeat offenders or persistent criminals.

A good leader is someone who knows the mindset of a subordinate/follower and how to follow.

I don't have a whole lot of faith in you to receive this responsibility. It is not easy to be a head of staff and most head of staff whitelist holders never ask for the burdens they get upon joining the round as command.

I can see where you are coming from. I sometimes am shit at the RP background of my antag roles it that "XD" inside LOOC was a mix of "Holy shit" and me having one of those awkward laughs when you under estimate the power of one of those guns (or just me being a ass, I have no clue what went through my brain in the middle of the night) and the only real reason I think I did shoot them was because they called sec and they came running in with lethals and threw a flash bang at me. (I never really held someone hostage with it before) but this is not the place for it. I honestly did not know it can blow somones head off and make them so you cant clone them. I am currently getting a slap on the ass from my shit antaging with a three day antag ban. I am also going to look at trying to re work that warden tajaran and do a few ideas I have. Anna? Who knows I asked in dead chat after several hours of thinking while grinding in fortresscraft evolved if I should accelerate Anna's age and make them a complete opposite, but dead chat did not really go with the plan because Anna is a known meme. I am going to look at trying to get better RP wise with antags, characters, etc. I will keep working on it and attempt to get better and completely work out the bad shit that I have a habit to put in my characters (mainly from the switch from hippie back in the day.) in a day I am going to find the delete button (or contact a admin) for this thread and look at trying to make a better character before my toxic actions get my tajaran whitelist stripped, permanent job ban/antag ban, etc. Thanks for pointing it out. And maybe not play in the middle of the night with a extreme lack of sleep because I have no clue what goes through my brain at that time... And my typing skills fail, plus my understanding of situations fail. I think I play too much ss13
