Arrow768 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 A guest pass is a temporary ID that is used to allow access to a area, but it does not serve as proper identification. If a guest pass can be used to create a valid sentence, then this is a bug that needs to be fixed.
Surrealistik Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 So are there plans to make brigging people without IDs by utilizing the sentencing console possible (aside from the PITA step of getting an entirely new ID created at the HoP office)? An override feature of some kind?
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Some developers have simply responded with "Just get them an ID" as the be-all solution to this problem, so this is probably an uphill battle. Allowing a manual override would still be nice.
afitz Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 I think this idea should be changed into some Prisoner ID system. In real prisons and jails, all inmates are issued an ID number, typically sewn into their suits. It'd be nice if their prison suits came with "sewn in" ID's that deploy in a similar fashion to the way that mag boots or O2 tanks deploy on void suits. Allowing a customizable ID would be a great way to speed up the process for someone who doesn't have an ID, or ensures no access for those who do. Would be cool if they also were set up for forced suit sensors with tracking. Great for hunts. It makes sense for a real brig to have these kinds of securities in place.
Farya Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Suit sensors stuck to Maximum on prison jumpsuits already. Inmates can just take them off and run off without any clothes. If you have proof that inmate can escape - you have tracking implants for that.

Allowing a manual override would still be nice. If only it were that easy to just get them a proper ID (nevermind the headache if there's no one with access to the ID computer). A prisoner ID generator in the brig would be nice.
